Love the smell but…
This volumizing conditioner ideal for fine to medium hair smells deliciously good. I was incredible amazed by its smell however after drying my hair I felt my hair a bit more greasy than normal so thought that for some reason I didn’t wash it properly so washed it the next day (today) again and not with the same oily look but I feel my head very itchy. Not sure what is going on but it is sure it is the conditioner as routine and other products are the exact same as for the last couple of weeks and maybe months. Still a bit unsure of this but have to tell that still in love of the smells not only from the plastic but nice bottle but also the smells that leaves on my hair after its use and dry.About the volume itself… I have not felt any difference but guessing that it will be needed the entire line of products for this to make its work properly.

Volumising Conditioner
The Fable & Mane Volumizing Conditioner is a beautifully presented product, with a premium feel that starts with its purple and coral packaging and striking tiger illustration. The brown plastic bottle features a pump dispenser, which works efficiently to deliver the conditioner. The formula itself is white, creamy, and has a medium viscosity, similar to other conditioners I’ve used. The sandalwood fragrance is a lovely touch—subtle yet distinct.My hair is fine but dense, so volumising products can make a noticeable difference. While this conditioner left my hair shiny and smooth—I even received compliments—I didn’t notice much of a thickening effect. As part of a broader routine with a big blow-dry and volumising mousse, it makes a great addition, but on its own, the results weren’t dramatic.One downside was that my hair felt a bit more tangly afterwards, so on my next wash, I used a larger amount to counteract this—which helped—but meant I was going through more conditioner than shampoo.I appreciate the premium nature of the brand and its ethical commitments:Vegan & cruelty-free (PETA-approved)Sulphate-free (ideal for colored hair)Paraben-free & free of synthetic fragrancesDesigned in London, made in the USA, and inspired by India, a great deal of effort has gone into developing this brand. Naturally, this is reflected in its high price point—currently £26.35 for 250ml (on offer at the time of writing).A luxuriously packaged conditioner with great ethical credentials, offering smoothness and shine but perhaps not as much volume as expected. It works best as part of a styling routine rather than a standalone volumiser. Worth considering if you value premium quality and ingredients!

Soft curls
This conditioner is quite nice to use and I found it left my hair shiny and manageable, but not especially thicker. I have very fine hair so I used it in conjunction with several other products, but I doubt it would have accomplished much thickening if used on its own. That said, I used it after shampooing when I usually condition first and then use a thickening shampoo — so given that, it may have added some extra body. I did notice that my hair was able to retain nice soft curls when dried using a diffuser, whereas some other similar products flatten my hair and make it seem lifeless. It added shine and bounce without feeling greasy. All in all, I liked it — I wish the bottle were larger, as the price per oz seems pretty high, but I enjoyed using it and thought the results were good.

Great conditioner. Wasteful pump doesn’t dispense all the product.
The conditioner itself is the best I’ve ever used. Works great. But especially for a premium-priced product, it seems especially wasteful that the pump stops working when a few ounces of conditioner is still left in the bottom of the bottle. If you throw this product away and the bottle still feels heavy, then you got ripped off, and you didn’t get to use all 8.5 ounces that you paid for.

Ineffective and Unpleasant Smell
Ineffective on top of a very unpleasant smell; not worth the money. I had been gifted Fable & Mane’s ginger scrub which has a delightful yet subtle fragrance and works well So I wanted to try their volumizing products (conditioner, shampoo, and volume spray) and I was horribly disappointed. I still hd to use other hair products post washing/conditioning for adding volume to my fine hair. The volume spray was useless. I probably would have been okay with this had they smelled as delightful as their ginger scrub. On top of this, the amount provided in their containers was far smaller than most products. The shampoo and conditioner are each 8.5 oz; the volume spray is a tiny 3.5 oz. Note: I am not the best at checking size information. Many reviewers loved this smell–I found it seedy and hospital-like.

Fable & Mane conditioner is officially my new favorite conditioner. I have thin and fine hair, and it can be really hard to find a conditioner that actually hydrates without leaving my hair feeling heavy or flat. I’ve been dealing with hair loss and have been on a serious hair care journey to improve my hair quality and density, so I really needed something gentle but effective—and this has been perfect.It leaves my hair soft, smooth, and hydrated while still feeling light and bouncy. One of the best parts is how instantly it detangles my hair without causing breakage or extra shedding. My hair normally gets very tangled, but now I can easily comb it out after a shower, and it feels so much healthier.The scent is also amazing—very pleasant and refreshing, and it doesn’t smell like harsh chemicals at all. Even though the bottle looks small, a little bit goes a long way, and this one has lasted me several months already. I’m truly impressed with the results and will definitely be repurchasing!
