I was excited to order this chrome nail powder kit by FANDAMEI. The kit includes 12 bold powder colors, magnetic stands for holding fake nails, a roll of putty tape to secure the fake nail to the stand, assorted nail brushes, dot tools, and sponge applicators. Whether you’re a professional or amateur, this size kit gives you lots of tools and variety to create versatile, shiny nail art.As a beginner nail enthusiast, I wanted to try the powders on my natural nails. I looked up a few how-to videos. I learned it’s best to use nail powders with gel polishes. You can also use chrome powders with regular polishes, but a regular top coat diminishes the shiny finish a little.Application was fairly easy on natural nails after watching the how-to videos. For best results, you’ll need a gel base, gel top coat and preferably black gel polish, but you can use any base polish color you already have. You can let your imagination run wild when working with these nail powders!If you already have some fake nails on hand, you can adhere them one by one to the magnetic stands and create endless chrome, metallic & pearlized color combos! I didn’t have any fake nails to use on the stands, but I hope to try it out in the future.In the meantime, I’ll keep practicing on my natural nails. On my toes, I used regular white quick dry nail polish. I waited till it was almost dry then dabbed on the pearlized powder for a pearlized finish. I topped it with a regular quick dry top coat which did affect the shine a little. For my nails, I was just experimenting and used a clear gel base. Cured 30 seconds and started dabbing on 2 colors without even laying down a base color. I did that twice then finished with a gel top coat and cured 60 seconds.These powders are a lot of fun for any nail enthusiast. I think they are a great value considering everything you get in the kit.

Reviewing FANDAMEI Chrome Nail Powder, 12Jars Chrome Powder for Nails, with Nail Art Tools, Metallic Mirror Effect Nail Chrome Powder, White Chrome Nail Powder, Nail Chrome, Nail Design Tools, Nail SuppliesI am an at home manicurist and have been intrigued by the effect chrome powder provides on nail gel polish. This kit comes with twelve jars of chrome powder. I tried a couple of the powder on fake nails to see what it looked like and to get the hang of applying the powder. This kit comes with everything you will need. Beside the powder, it has brushes, nail dotting tools, nail stands for polishing fake nails, foam application frushes and two way tape to adhere the fake nails to the nail stands. When I applied the chrome powder to my actual nails, I experimented with magnetic/cat eye nail gel. The photo with the white background is the magnetic gel prior to the application of the chrome powder. The second photo is one of the white powders with a yellow tint applied over the magnetic gel polish.Some of my takeaways are that this kit comes with plenty of color options. It may seem that the jars of chrome power are small, however, very little powder is needed to create the chrome effect. After applying my gel, I applied a top coat and cured it for thirty seconds. This was enough time to ensure that the topcoat didn’t smudge while applying and polishing the chrome powder. You have to be very aware of applying each layer of gel because chrome powder is very unforgiving. It will show any blemish. Be sure to use a brush to remove any chrome powder before you add your final coat of topcoat.I am looking forward to creating many more manicures using this chrome powder set. The best part is all you receive for the price point. I will mention that the brushes are cheaply made, but they serve their purpose.

A really fun chrome powder kit
This is a really good nail decorating set. It comes with a lot of different chrome powders in several different colors. Figuring out how to use the chrome powders with gel nails was a lot of fun. You basically have to not fully cure a layer and then add the chrome powder. You then also add a fully cured top coat to it to keep it in place. I was really nervous to try it but ended up being a lot of fun. I like that it came with nail holders to hold press on nails while you decorated them. That made the learning process a lot easier because we didn’t have to put it on our nails and then figure out how to take it off if we messed up. There’s a bit of a learning curve to it because you don’t know exactly how long to cure the layer with powder before you use it. Like you need it to be tacky enough to have adhesive. But once you figure it out and put the top coat on it has a really smooth texture and it makes it look like you have metallic nails. I also love it. This set came with several different brushes and nail dotters to use. It was really fun to try and I highly recommend it. It’s at a really good price point as well.

Gorgeous colors!
There are a lot of pros about this chrome powder. First, I like to think it was easy to use. I am just new at it so I am not the best at getting it to look right. Regardless, the colors are gorgeous!! I just love how it almost makes the nail look like a pearl. I feel like the way the powder came made it easy to use. I was not worried about making a big mess or getting powder everywhere. The curing time were easy to follow along. The thin brushes were a pain, but that’s also because I have large hands so holding thin things is difficult. Once I got the hang of it, I was good. I really appreciate all the supplies that come in the kit because it made trying the chrome nails less intimidating. This is something I definitely want to keep practicing because you can get beautiful and unique designs with it and all the colors are gorgeous!

Need base/top coat +/- acrylic nails to use
My daughter has absolutely LOVED this entire set. She really likes doing her own nails and this gave her a creative outlet. First, note if you plan on acrylic-you need to buy nails separate! If you use your own nails, you can use the powder and accessory pieces no problem. But, you won’t need the tape or stands. The directions are clear, but merky. My daughter used the tape to attach her clear nail to the little stands. Did a base prime then added the dip powder using a brush then designed. Added a top coat and vwa-la! It does need to be cured, but you can. Top coat over it easy. It’s very sparkly in the right light, smooth and easy to use. A little goes a really long way! I do suggest buying a kit of clear acrylic nails and a base/primer set if you don’t allready have one. I feel like this should have come with one, but I’m not dropping stars for it.
