gets hot, but not like on fire hot. I love the cold switches, they actually do their job. this is amazing for locking in that shine. This is my second one, not because the last one broke, But just wanted to upgrade. the only reason i give it 4 instead of 5 stars is because the “cool shot” button is in an awkward place and i often accidentally hit it while drying which is annoying…1st world problems, right? i just replaced my previous fhi nano salon pro 2000 with this newer model. i had the last one for 5 years and loved it and (i think) it finally broke is because i dropped it one-too-many times.this dries your hair super fast and it feels really soft. i tend to have fairly frizzy, fly-away hair, but with this dryer i don’t.anyhow, i would definitely recommend this even though it is quite pricey as it (hopefully this one too!) lasts forever and does a great job.

Small and strong
I read a lot about hair dyers because I have very fine hair. Ceramic Tourmaline is the best to dry gently but still do so quickly. I had the FHI Pro 2000 for over 20 years so I wanted to get another FHI. This one is much smaller but I don’t miss the other one because it weighs a lot less. What is very important to know is never put down the hairdryer down on a flat surface while it’s still on. That can make the motor burn out.

Gentle enough on hair
I have long, fine hair that is starting to grey. While recovering from hand surgery, I was obliged to use the leading brush dryer by Revlon with my one functioning hand. It destroyed my hair. Prior to purchasing the Fhi on the recommendation of my hairdresser, I had a Solano. At $300, it was too expensive to replace but is hard to match on speed and gentle drying. The Fhi is about an 8/10 in comparison…very powerful and fast to dry, while still being fairly gentle on my fine hair…which is starting to recover.

I have been a Hairdresser/Stylist for 30 years. I bought my first FHI Heat platform 8 years ago from a salon base retail store (Salon Centric). I was having elbow pain and needed something lightweight.Recently my blow dryer was starting to make noise and after 8 years getting tired. I was unable to find this brand at the salon base stores and I bought a lightweight backup dryer. After the first day of the back up dryer I knew I had to find my same FHI Heat again! So I stated researching, I found what came as close as what I had here on amazon and purchased it. I was a little torn between the FHI Platform 2000 and their other FHI Platform lightweight dryer, but both seemed to weigh the same in the details so I figured I would give the Platform 2000 a chance and if I didn’t like it or if it didn’t meet my expectations I could return it?After first use I LOVE it! It is quieter then any dryer I have used and dries hair evenly, quickly and silky! I am amazed and it is just as light as their lightweight version! And the price on amazon was the best I had found and I knew if I needed to return it would be easier thru amazon, so please if you are looking for a great professional dryer do not hesitate to purchase this dryer!!! I know if your not a Stylist the price might be a lot for you, but If you have difficult hair and are looking for a great dryer and have the funds give it a go! And just to let you know I am not someone who usually writes reviews, the product has to excite me this much to take the time to let you all know!

THIS. INCREDIBLE. BLOW DRYER!!
Truly love this FHI blow dryer! I originally purchased the same blow dryer back in 2018 and it’s been FANTASTIC! Unfortunately, to my own fault, I would wrap the cord, bending it hard at a 180 which over time caused it to break and expose the wires. PSA: Do NOT kink the cord! I used electrical tape and it’s been fine but I felt like this was dangerous so I decided to invest in a new blow dryer. My real hair is semi-fine but I have quite a bit of it. I’m naturally a dark brunette, but am currently a golden blonde that went from tape-in extensions to invisible bead wefts for length and fullness. So my hair gets abuse with chemical processing and stress of extensions. I need something that gets the job down quickly without additional damage. I purchased the super expensive Dyson…hated it – left my natural hair feeling extremely dried out, frizzy and brittle. Same with 2 different Babyliss blow dryers. So I went back to my original true love the FHI Platform Nano Power. My hair feels healthy, not dried out, frizzy or brittle. The drying power is EXCELLENT and it’s not super heavy. PLUS my hair doesn’t get sucked into the backend! As a person who believes in the power of a blow dryer this machine is AMAZING! Definitely HIGH VALUE for the price! It comes with a looooong power cord so you are not trapped to the outlet, a travel bag, a Velcro tie to safely keep your cord wrapped up while traveling or not in use, an extra filter and attachments! I TRULY LOVE THIS BLOW DRYER!! Worth the price and peace of mind to have FABULOUS hair! xo

Breaks easily!!! Cheaply made!!!
This hairdryer works great. However, it breaks easily! The front part of the hairdryer cracked within 6 months.Over the course of a year and half, every single part has broken.It’s dangerous for me to even use it! The back completely fell apart and my hair could easily get sucked in! This is actually the worst hairdryer that I’ve ever purchased! It’s so bad that this is my 1st review! I had to let other people know! The price is not cheap but it’s cheaply made.

Best Hairdryer!
This is the best hair dryer I have ever owned. This is a replacement for the one that I purchased in 2018. I paid $119.00 in 2018 and it lasted me 7 years. This one cost $120.00 so I would say not bad. My hairstylist uses this hair dryer so she is the one who got the original one for me. When it went out about a month ago, I used a different hair dryer and it just didn’t work the same. Get it you won’t regret it.

Worth the money!
I’ve owned this dryer since 2016. My hair is SUPER thick, natural 4C and this dryer gets it dry and detangled in no time flat. My only issue is that the cord gets super tangled…like SUPER tangled. Other than that? It’s worth every penny.
