Sharp and works well for toe nails
I bought these mainly because I wanted something that could handle thicker toenails without having to squeeze a traditional nail clipper so hard. The wide opening is definitely one of the better features. It makes it easier to get around thicker nails, and I found the larger size gave me more leverage than a standard pair of clippers.I also like the anti-splash design. These clippers are sturdy and have enough leverage to cut thicker nails without requiring an unreasonable amount of hand strength.The wider opening makes it much easier to position the nail correctly, and the design gives you good control while cutting. I also really appreciate the anti splash feature because nail clippings have an impressive ability to launch themselves across the room and disappear forever. It doesn’t catch and hold onto all of the nail clippings but it does keep them from shooting across the room.These would be especially helpful for toenails, thicker nails, or anyone who struggles with the tiny handles and limited leverage of standard nail clippers.They feel solid, cut cleanly, and are much easier to use than the little clippers I was used to.

These are excellent quality toe nail clippers. They’re super heavy duty and durable. They’re sharp and able to cut through thick toenails without issue. I definitely would not use these as fingernail clippers because they’re honestly too big for it, but they’re perfect for toes.

I’m very impressed with the quality of this nail clipper. It has a very nice weight to it and immediately feels like a higher-grade tool rather than one of the flimsy or cheaply made clippers I’ve used before. It clips cleanly and easily, and the ergonomic shape makes it comfortable to hold and use for both fingernails and toenails.The included nail file also works very well. One feature I had never seen or used before is the small removable metal guard that acts as a reservoir to catch the nail clippings. I would say it catches about 85% of the clippings, which is actually very useful. It means you can sometimes get away with a quick trim without worrying about nail clippings flying everywhere. The guard can also be moved and adjusted, and positioning it closer to the cutting area seems to help catch even more.The only minor downside is that the closer you position the guard, the more it can obstruct your view of exactly where you are clipping. Leaving a little more space improves visibility, but that small gap is also where I find the occasional clipping can escape. Still, I think the catcher is a great feature, and it can easily be removed if you prefer not to use it.Overall, this is a very nice, solid nail clipper at a fair price. I’ve seen buzz around Japanese brand clippers. This style looked similar so I wanted to give it a try.The design looks sleek and feels good in the hand. It’s nice to have the catch area prevent nail clippings from going flying everywhere. While it’s good for toes. I do have some trouble navigating the sides of my toes due to the size of the clippers. Being new and sharp, I fear I might clip my skin.Although it feels hefty, I was disappointed to find the base piece is loose. I need to take a Phillips head screwdriver to tighten the bottom which makes it feel like a cheap add on for aesthetics. I’m not convinced this is much better than other clippers other than the ability to catch clippings.
