Interesting Straightening Brush Concept but Better for Shorter Hair
This is definitely an interesting styling tool, and I like the idea behind combining a flat iron and straightening brush into one device. I also appreciate that it has adjustable heat settings because being able to control the temperature is really important depending on your hair type and how much heat you want to use.The tool does smooth hair nicely and helps reduce frizz, and I think the ceramic plates help give a softer, shinier finish overall. Like the other styling tool from this brand, I also think this would work best for shorter hair or for someone wanting a compact all-in-one styling option for travel.That said, I did struggle a bit with the design personally. The brush portion feels somewhat awkward to use while actively straightening, and it didn’t feel as intuitive or smooth as I expected. I also had the same issue with the ceramic plate area being very small, which made styling longer hair more difficult and time consuming.For my longer hair, I noticed it could catch and pull a bit if I wasn’t extremely careful, so I personally don’t think it’s the best fit for thick or long hair types.Overall though, I think the concept is good, and I do like the adjustable heat settings and smoothing effect. I just think this tool would probably perform best for shorter hairstyles, touch-ups, travel use, or finer hair rather than long, thick hair.

Amazing lil thing
I’ll be honest with you up front. I don’t use this myself. I bought it formy partner, and that’s where the real story is. The 2-in-1 idea is sort ofmagic, a brush and a flat iron living in one little tool, so there’s nojuggling, no wrestling with a hundred gadgets on the bathroom counter. Itheats up fast, the ceramic feels smooth and even, and the whole thing iseasy enough that it just slid right into their morning without any fuss. I would use this more when I want my hair to look a little neater without doing a full style. awesome straightener
this is great for straightening my wife and daughter’s hair. MAVIE has been making great products and my wife is so in love with them. After my wife and daughter gets tired with their curly hair from another MAVIE product “6 in 1” they would use this to bring their hair back to normal, and i gotta say this does not disappoint, it straightens their hair so fast and gives it a good shine. The size is perfect, big that it can save you so much time, and yet just enough that it can perfectly straighten the hair you feed on it. Great quality product, been drop a few times and still manage to work. price is also very affordable

Heats up quickly and easy to use
The hair straightener portion works well for my hair, but I dont really use the brush because it’s a little too thick for my personal preference. I have hair that is fairly easy to straighten and this works great for leaving my hair nice and smooth when done. There are different heat settings that are easy to use and it heats up fairly quickly.

Great straightener! But, the brush function is sort of useless on thick, coarse hair
I give this 5 stars for the straightening function, but the brush function probably gets just 1 star. When I first tried to turn this on, I realized you have to hold the on/off button down for a couple of seconds to enable the red lights to choose the temperature. As you press the on/off button, it seems like you should be able to toggle through the temperature options of 360, 390, or 430 degrees Fahrenheit. However, I could only choose between 360 and 390, so I chose 390. The red light blinks until it heats up, which heats up pretty quickly compared to other straighteners. Once the red light on 390 was solid, I checked, and I was able to hit the on/off button one more time to get to the 430 option. I have thick, coarse, curly hair, and I usually use a 425 option on my other curling and straightening devices. I thought the ceramic plates were smooth and straightened my hair quickly on the one side I tried. I then clicked the lock button to use the brush option on the other side. I thought the ceramic plate might have been hot under the brush, but I wasn’t sticking my finger in it to check. My hair was not that hot when using the brush, and it just had a frizzy finish. I tried the blower option, but it did not seem like a great or hot air flow, so that also left my hair quite frizzy. Maybe, the brush would be great on thin hair, but it’s not useful for my hair type. I liked that it came with a protective cover for the brush, but even with looking at the directions and multiple family members trying, we could not get the cover secure and it kept falling right off. If the cover is just meant to protect the brush if you wrap it with something in a suitcase, I guess it could simply cover the brush if you wrapped it up. Oh, and this comes with a nice, thick, quality cord (probably the thickest I’ve seen) that has a swivel base. I have had cords cink up and break before, but I don’t think there will be a problem with this cord.
