    I like this hair straightener

    Fast heating speed. Right size for traveling. The top plastic part of the straightener gets pretty hot when temperature goes up so make sure to wear gloves if you need to hold the top of the straightener. I wish the number screen is brighter.

    I really wanted to like this straightener because it heats up extremely quickly and has some genuinely useful features. Unfortunately, the actual styling performance was a pretty big disappointment for my hair.The biggest issue is that the barrel catches in my hair far too easily. Instead of gliding smoothly through each section, I found myself dealing with strands getting caught, which made the styling process much more frustrating than it should be.The other major issue is the heat. While it definitely gets hot, it does not seem to get hot enough to effectively straighten remotely coarse hair. I had to make multiple aggressive passes over the same sections just to get the results I was looking for, which took considerably longer and required much more pulling on the hair than I am comfortable with.I think this could potentially work better for someone with fine or naturally straight hair, but for thicker or coarser hair, I don’t think the heat or barrel design is up to the task. The fast heat up and temperature controls are nice, but they don’t make up for the difficulty of actually getting the hair straightened.

    Comfortable to Hold and Great for Creating Waves

    I have three daughters, one already in college and a teenager, so was happy to add a hair straightener. We all have small-ish hands, so I appreciate that this flat iron is lightweight without feeling flimsy or cheap. It’s comfortable to hold, easy to maneuver, and heats up really quickly, which is always a plus when we are in a hurry.It does a nice job straightening, but I actually like it even better for creating curls and soft waves. My hair is thick and coarse, and it naturally holds a curl better than it stays pin-straight, so I’ve gotten the best results using it as a curling iron. I haven’t tried it on my girls yet and their hair is opposite of mine, so it’ll be interesting to see.One thing I’m not a huge fan of is the temperature display. It’s a little difficult to read, so I had to check a few times to get a correct reading.
