Worse smell ever and this is a Perm, not a daily styling cream
I ordered this Up&Down cream because I am always on the lookout for new hair products. Since my husband has long hair and still likes to keep it out of his face with a flexible hold, this one looked like something he could use. What attracted me to this cream is the botanical ingredient claims and natural oils. But now that I have the product in hand, I took a closer look at the listing.First, the smell – it is like rotten eggs. It smells like a chemical bath of bad decisions. The smell alone makes me want to trash it. Based on this one thing – hard pass! The listing says it has a green apple and citrus scent. No, it doesn’t. Smells like doodoo butter acid wash, if that is even a thing.Second, I just realized that the listing is very confusing. It says it holds for 3-4 weeks. Who is not washing their hair in 3-4 weeks? Why would anyone need a product like this? There’s other claims to this hair cream that I will not be exploring such as non-sticky, and soothing mud cream. If it’s a mud, then why is it also lightweight? I’m so confused. The other issue about this cream is that it comes with plastic gloves and its own comb tool. Why do you need gloves to put a natural cream on your hair? I guess I didn’t read the listing right, and this is actually a “perm”. A straight-hair perm for men. They should probably put the word “perm” on the tube so that people don’t think they’re buying a regular hair styling cream.

Lightweight Smells Good
I use this Forbeaut Up & Down Cream when I wear my hair out. Giving it a break from the braids. This cream was meant for my son, until I decided to use it. I found it to be lightweight, smooth, and gives my hair a clean hold without feeling greasy or stiff. I love the fresh green apple scent- It’s subtle but makes my hair smell good.It works for sleek styles or just adding a little shape, and it doesn’t leave build-up. It’s simple, easy, and reliable.

Not ideal for textured hair
If you have textured hair or even some wave, you’re better off using a pomade then you are with this product it doesn’t hold very well and it takes quite a bit of product to even attempt to get it to do what it says that it does. I find layering it and letting it sit and then adding more tends to help but not for long. There are many better products out there that can help you shape and sculpt your hair as you see fit into the style that you want, and this is not one of them. It doesn’t smell very good either.

Not What We Expected, but It Does Have Some Use
My son tried this styling cream because he wanted something to help keep his hair neat without making it stiff. At first glance, it looks like a regular hair cream, but once we opened it, it was clear this product is a little different from what he was used to.The scent was the first surprise. It’s supposed to smell like green apple, but it definitely didn’t smell fruity to us. It has more of a chemical smell, which made him hesitate at first. The texture is smooth and easy to spread, but it feels heavier than a normal styling cream.When he used a small amount on damp hair, it did help flatten and shape the front, and it held pretty well once it dried. It wasn’t greasy, and it didn’t leave flakes, which was a plus. But the instructions and the tools included made it confusing because they look more like something you’d use for a perm or a chemical treatment, not everyday styling.Because of that, we were cautious and only used a tiny amount. For simple smoothing or taming flyaways, it worked fine, but it’s not something he’d use daily because the purpose of the product isn’t very clear.It did help with styling, but the smell and the confusing presentation make it hard to fully trust or recommend for regular use.
