    Hand-stitched craftsmanship, good smell

    I have used this leather safety razor cover for a few weeks and it fits my double-edge razor head snugly. The snap-on closure is secure and keeps the blade protected during travel, and the leather feels thick and durable. It slides on easily and does not pull at the razor, so I feel safe carrying it in my toiletry bag.The craftsmanship is noticeable, the hand-stitched seams look solid, and the leather has a nice texture and smells like real leather. It does add a little bulk but not too much, and the brass rivet holds the cover firmly without loosening. I am happy with the protection it provides, it is slightly more expensive but it is handmade in the USA so worth it.

    not the best quality

    Firstly, I want to say that this is one cover, not two. The initial photo depicts two covers so I thought this is for a set of two. That being said, $15 for two pieces of leather stitched together is quite expensive. I don’t think that this leather is waterproof so I don’t feel it is the best material for a razor. It does fit most double-edge razors. It is just held on through tension, no snap closure secured. There are no other color options available. The patina affects its appearance and the leather seems dry. It cracks when bent so it is not the best quality.

    Definitely a good grain leather, thick, durable, not a two pack!!

    This razor sheath uses a very good quality leather source. I should note that the stock images made me think this was a set of two, but it is just a single, so keep that in mind if it’s a deal breaker. That said, it is 100% genuine leather, and high grain to match. It has that rich, signature aroma I expect, along with the texture, so there’s no doubting the authenticity. It’s stitching also employs the right kind of thread that’s used in leather crafting. It’s heavy-duty for sure, but unfortunately this wasn’t double stitched, it’s just a single row. I think it needs to be at least 2 rows for the leather’s thickness. The overall durability and longevity, especially in the wet environments that shaving entails will probably result in a shorter lifespan before thr seams start to separate. All told, I still like the classic styling and appearance enough to want this again if I had a do-over, and I thank you for the opportunity to try it and find out.

It’s a simple accessory, but it does exactly what I need it to do when storing or protecting the razor.One thing to be aware of if you plan to travel: you may not be able to bring a traditional safety razor in your carry-on through airport security because the blade can be fully removed. Cartridge razors are generally the safer option for hand luggage. Having said that, replacement safety razors are cheap and can be easily sourced in many countries.Overall, this is a well-made cover that fits my razor perfectly and provides good protection during storage or travel. Recommended.

    It’s definitely full-grain genuine leather

    This full grain leather razor cover fits my son’s safety razor perfectly. I’m not sure how useful it will be for him since he removes the blades from his razor after every use, and he rarely travels with anything except his electric trimmer. If you’re in the habit of keeping the blades in your razor, you may find this very useful since it should help keep them from getting dull, and it reduces the risk of someone getting cut.The leather is high quality and dyed a beautiful brown. It’s easy to use on the razor, and it looks very nice. It would make a nice gift for a man who prefers a safety razor and uses it often.The only reason for the deduction of a star is that I’m not sure these 2 small pieces of leather are an excellent value at $15. I’ve seen full-grain leather wallets sell for around that price, but maybe leather crafting costs have gone up, and I haven’t noticed. If this item is hand-made, that definitely increases the value. It’s definitely a quality item, and is much nicer than most things you can purchase online.

You want to make sure it is protected from damage. These leather sleeves a a good way to keep the shaver from being damaged. The leather pouch slid perfectly over the head of the shaver. It is a nice design that not only protects the head but is a method of securing the blade to prevent getting cut. If I have anything that concerns me it is the stitching. Time will tell if the stitching will hold up. The other concern is cost. It may be slightly more than someone may want to spend for the product. Overall, I think it is a great product to protect your safety razor.
