Best value for the money! So good I use the tiny samples.
I have to admit…I am a guy so items like shampoo aren’t totally exciting to me. But I also am detailed oriented which means I notice the difference between different shampoos and conditioners and after having used hundreds of brands and options over the years, I have made a few mental notes that I am willing to share (as long as it is just between us–since we are friends now, right?)Rules:1.) Cheap shampoo makes your hair feel bad, will break the ends and it is one of the worst things you can likely do to your hair. Now understand that some inexpensive products are awesome but generally you get what you pay for in this–up until a certain point. Examples of bad products–White Rain, entry level Suave, etc.2.) I think every shampoo & conditioner Garnier makes is worth every penny. In fact it is by far my favorite entry level brand.3.) Most of the fancy Salon Brands are slightly better than products like Garnier but typically not worth the high cost in my opinion.4.) Want to help restore your hair a bit? Try putting nice conditioner in your hair and then put a shower cap on and wear it for 20 minutes before showering. Conditioner works better the longer it is on your hair and heat almost always helps it work. (The cap helps trap your heat in.) Even better, throw on a cheap ski cap over the shower cap to keep even more heat inside.5.) Most people likely use too much shampoo and too little conditioner. If you use both every time and finish the same sized bottles at the same time you are doing it incorrectly. 🙂 Think about it–shampoo creates lather (meaning it expands) whereas conditioner doesn’t.6.) One hack, work to use less and less shampoo and perhaps try to condition every other shower. (If you have longer hair you might need to condition each time).Alright enough rules, what about THIS product already. Garnier shampoo is the only one that both smells amazing and works amazingly every time in it’s price point. How much do I like their shampoo? I save and use those flat samples that sometimes come in the mail or with online orders. It is that good. I could list dozens of competing brands that I do not like as well but that might sound like I was spamming.After 2 weeks of use, my hair continues to feel light, clean and smooth. There is no dryness or roughness to it at all (like some brands).If you think I screwed up a tip or want to ask if I like it better than something else, feel free to.

Great for naturally wavy hair that tends to be fine/frizzy
For starters, my hair has like 3 different wave patterns/textures. Very loose, fine waves at the very top, to bouncy waves around the middle, to coily curls around my edges and nape of my neck. It’s also very fine and frizzy, which is why I stopped using products with silicone because it just made my natural hair worse. I was previously using Tresemme Perfectly Undone because it was perfect for my hair texture and made my hair bouncy, plus its without silicone, but I can’t find it anywhere anymore. I reluctantly began using Whole Blends Olive Oil but it worked too well. Great with frizz and shine but left my hair very limp and I swear it was falling out more. I couldn’t get it to wave and even if I tried a roller set it would fall flat in about an hour. Normally once my hair is curled, it stays that way until my next wash. So I decided to try this today and I could immediately see/feel the difference. My hair is much fuller and easier to style. Still shiny and not frizzy but definitely fuller. And it’s inexpensive which is the best part!

Shampoo doesn’t lather/spread well, so I feel like I have to use twice the normal amount to get my hair clean. Conditioner is very slippy and doesn’t rinse clean, leaving a slimy feeling, yet it makes my wet hair more difficult to comb. When dry & styled, my hair looks & behaves normally; I don’t see any advantage in shine, softness or volume. There are other shampoo/conditioner combos out there that give the same result while providing a better use experience.

I learned that changing hair products regularly enhances the conditioning of tresses and hair growth. This is my first time using Garnier and it is amazing on my African hair. It smooths out my strands and smells wonderful. I will definitely add this product to my hair regimen!

If you want soft hair, but don’t mind having issues with knots, this is the product for you. Have been using both the shampoo and conditioner for a few days now and I’ve found that it has made my hair tangle up very easily and it gets frustrating because brushing it causes it to lose its soft texture and it becomes rough compared to the rest of the hair. This is a massive problem for my sister because she has an issue where she pulls her hair out if she feels knots or odd textures, which this definitely causes, and despite her best efforts to break this habit, the texture and knots have caused her to pull more than normal.
