I actually bought something that did not have an review on Amazon!Crazy right? So here is a review for you because, if you’re like me, you are very skeptical of non-reviewed items.Well the good news is all of the items pictured were delivered as described.This is a killer deal given the blade variety included here and that it comes with soap.I have yet to use the soap, but it seems to be quality stuff.I am new to safety razor shaving and this is EXACTLY what I was looking for to decide on two-three blades to buy a larger quantity of.

The best starting point for someone new to safety razors
Excellent variety pack. If you are just getting started with safety razors, this is a fantastic starting point.The purpose to this variety pack is to find what works best for you. Every blade is going to be made with a slightly different material, be sharpened to a different level, etc, and so the “best” blade is going to be a deeply personal choice. Do you shave every morning, every other day, or once a week? What kind of soap do you use? Do you shower with hot or cold water? Is your skin sensitive? Is your hair thick, or curly? Every one of these factors is going to change what kind of blade you need, and this is a great way to find that.Overall, this is a five-star product. They provide the variety you need, and include the most commonly recommended blades for all levels of sharpness. Every person should buy this when they get their first safety razor.

Two good blades, mostly unfit to use.
The Feather and Astra blades are great, the derby were okay. The pain of using the green Super Max is what I assume shaving with a pink disposable razor that had been laying behind a gas station for a year. I could not get through one shave with the Super Max. Save yourself and by the Feather and Astra and see which one works for your razor and skin.

A good way to find the best razor
Just started shaving after 15 years with a beard. Good for beginners
Im a new DE convert and this was good to see what i liked. Im just anoyed that they gave me like 4 or 5 LORD blades. They weren’t all the same type but the 4 or 5 were all LORD brand which arent great and after like 3 blades I knew I didn’t like any LORD blade….i wish it had a few more kinds instead of 4 or 5 of all LORD brand. Beside those it was a pretty good selection. There are some you will hate right away after just 2 swipes but thats good then you know what not to buy later. lol. The price was acceptable and i did get a few feather and a shark blade so it did give some well known blades as well. They say they give you what they have so i may have got a limited selection because they were out. over all it was pretty good.

Some blades are good and some lasted 2 days, but you get to try new ones out. The soap was pointless. the stuff doesn’t lather AT ALL. it is the worse soap i have ever used. it is literally like cheap soap and doesn’t protect you for a shave. the walmart razor brand they sell…that soap is amazing compared to this and I don’t mean the premium one. I mean the cheaper soap.

Perfect sampler pack
Can’t speak to the soap because I haven’t tried it, but the pack of blades is everything you want in a sampler – a good variety, but not so many that you’re going to have a giant pile of unused blades after you’ve found the one you like best. Really one shave should be enough to tell you if the razor is going to be good for you or not. No need to try 2-3 of each blade. When I was new to wet-shaving, I bought a giant sampler pack and I had so many wasted blades after settling on Astra Stainless (blue box). After I got a new razor a few weeks ago, I realized that the Astra blades didn’t cut quite as well anymore so I got this sampler to help me find a better one. Worked out perfectly because I was able to try some other brands without committing to a giant box of blades that may or may not work for me.

Shave your face, you scrub!
I just started using a safety razor after having spent decades using disposables. I read many reviews on various blades and since everyone has their opinion, I decided to get this sampler to try out different brands in order to know which are sharper, more durable etc.I’ve only used the Merkur yet, which is incredibly thin and sharp. This sampler also came with an alum bar for rubbing skin after the shave to minimize razor burn, which stung but seemed to help.Bottom line: good price for a sampler, good selection of top brands of safety razors, arrived in less than two days and the alum bar will probably last until Jesus comes back.Stop vacillating and just buy it already.
