Crazy fast dry without being too hot
Received in March 2015 and registered the product right away, it is indeed authentic. It’s also awesome. I have very thick hair and use high end styling tools (usually Sedu) and this is by far the best hair dryer I’ve had. I decided to replace my SuperSolano I got a few years back to replace a busted T3 b/c it was heavy, took a long time to dry my hair, and the style didn’t stay so I’d have to go back over it in the morning to smooth my frizzy hair back out. This dryer is much more lightweight and easy to use, although it may just feel more lightweight because it dries my hair so much faster-probably 10 minutes total versus 20ish even with a nice dryer. Don’t be scared when you turn it on and it’s not blasting away and burning your scalp-it will still dry your hair faster (I was actually fiddling with the cool shot thinking I’d somehow accidentally activated it because it wasn’t crazy hot). Not really sure how, but it does. I’ve also noticed that even if I don’t blow dry all the way it still holds the style quite well with little frizz. Haven’t even been using any product because my hair comes out silky smooth. I would probably advise against it if you have thin hair, it gives me great movement through the length of my hair but is a bit of a volume killer at the roots.

I wanted to share my experience with everybody to help clarify some misinformation. If you already purchased a GHD product and have issues, CALL GHD FIRST! They MAY be able to make an exception to policy. I was well taken care of by GHD, it’s worth the call.First, Amazon.com is NOT an authorized retailer of GHD products. What does this mean? This means that GHD may refused to repair your product even if it is genuine. For information on which stores are authorized, call GHD. They have a recording that states which stores are authorized to sell their products. The statement below is from the GHD website.Yes, there are some exclusions to the warranty. • The warranty will not cover any fault caused through incorrect usage.• We are also unable to cover any fault caused by accidental damage.• The warranty is also void if any repair has been attempted by a third party.• We are also unable to honour any warranty where your styler has been purchased from an unauthorised distributor; in this instance your consumer rights would lie with the point of sale.Now some may view this as unfair, but this is no different from other manufactures such as Nikon. If you buy a “Grey” market camera (purchased outside of Nikon USA import channels) they will not repair it either.Second, my dryer came with the authenticity hologram removed from the cord. I contacted Amazon and they sent another dryer to me free of charge. The second dryer also had the hologram removed. My guess is that someone in the shipment chain is stealing the labels off the products for resale on the black market. I have no proof of this, but as GHD is very desirable brand to counterfeit, it seems plausible. If this happened to you, CALL GHD FIRST. They MAY be able help you. I contacted GHD and verified that my dryer was authentic.Now on to the good stuff. I love this dryer. The attachments are nice and narrow, and they stay attached really well. The dryer works so much faster than a normal consumer line product. The dryer is really quiet. I usually use the dryer on the low heat setting and the low speed setting. I’m male with about 4 inches of hair length. It only takes a few minutes to dry my hair from towel dried. The only thing to mention is that the cold shot button is a little hard to press and the attachments get pretty hot. The attachments have a warning card on them in the box. My dryer is only a week old so the cold shot button may loosen up over time. Overall, the dryer feels like a really well built piece of equipment that should last a really long time.

I have always used cheap drugstore hair dryers. I had very expensive microlink extensions put in before my wedding, and decided I should splurge and get a “good” dryer. I ordered a Rusk SpeedFreak and have regretted it since I ordered it a year ago. It blows so hard my hair ends up in knots (with and without the extensions in). We just bought a fishing camp and I decided this was the perfect excuse to get a new dryer and put the rusk dryer at the camp. I am so glad I ordered this! What a difference! I’ve used the GHD flat iron for years, and recently purchased the curl wand. My hair dresser recommends GHD, and this dryer is as good as the other things I’ve used from them. It dries quickly, quietly, and the best part – doesn’t blow so hard my hair is in knots. Maybe I’m crazy, but I really think my hair is softer feeling with this dryer compared to my other and my hair doesn’t seem to get as frizzy.

I was in need of a new hair dryer. I received one as a gift, but returned it since I had my eye on this. I was going to purchase it in the store, when I searched first on Amazon. I read the reviews with mostly/majority satisfied remarks. I saved $ which is a bonus. I am extremely happy with this purchased. The hair dryer performs as it says well. It dries my hair quickly and nicely. I’ve tried it with the attachments and even purchased the diffuser – all works great. I love how fast it dries my hear, doesn’t dry frizzy at all. I haven’t experience any issues with it so far.The dryer is quieter than most inexpensive dryer, at least my older one and there’s not a lot of air/wind in a sense that blows your hair everywhere. It dries as it should with heat and in less time (bonus). It’s a great dryer for those with thick and even wavy hair. You can use the attachment to straighten your hair, it works just fine.

Es stimmt zwar nicht dass der Föhn die Trockenzeit um die Hälfte reduziert – ev. stimmt die Aussage wenn man einen Hotelföhn daheim hat….aber er ist wirklich super! Ich mag ihn total… Ich hoffe nun dass er auch so lange hält wie ich es mir von GHD erwarte. Mein Glätteisen habe ich mittlerweile schon 8 Jahre und es funktioniert wie neu ! Alle Föhn’s die ich sonst hatte, waren nach ca. 1 1/2 Jahren kaputt – deshalb wollte ich unbedingt einen teuereren. Sollte er vorzeitig kaputt werden, werde ich es hier reinschreiben.

Just want to clarify some things I read in the reviews. I purchased this from Amazon.com as the seller, not a 3rd party seller for just over $100, almost $100 cheaper than Sephora and Ulta. The hair dryer was 100% authentic with a hologram code, and I was able to register it without problem on the GHD website in case anything happens and it breaks within the 12 month warranty. Amazon only has a 30 day return policy, so be sure you register your hair dryer. I bought this to replace a different brand hair dryer that broke and I had not registered it. The other company could not do anything for me since I did not have proof of purchase anymore. This hair dryer is awesome. It’s sleek and dries my hair fast, and I love the cold shot button that helps set my blow out. Solid product that I hope will last for several years.

Very Happy With This HairDryer!
I want to first start out by saying the hair dryer I received is 100% authentic. It came with the hologram code, and I was able to register it on the ghd website. Received confirmation email from ghd.The dryer is a little heavy, but not so heavy that I am unhappy with it. It is very quiet. I am able to have a conversation or listen to music while I am blowdrying my hair. It performs well. I have very thick, coarse hair. I am not sure it cut down on drying time for me, but my hair is very smooth after using this dryer. I normally need to separate my hair in sections and straighten, but not as much after using this dryer. I will quickly run a straightener through it and that’s all that is needed.

Zero stars for durability
I have been meaning to review this for a while since I hasn’t been able to use it since August. I bought this in May, 2018 as my hair was so damaged (okay, so I colored it 3 times in one week) BUT it always looked so much better when my hairdresser dried it with her super duper dryer. As I already used the same hair products, I decided to invest in an expensive dryer too. This dryer WAS a little quieter and dried my hair a tad faster.. for about 3 months. Sitting on a vanity bench to dry my hair, I laid the dryer in my lap to reach for something and it slid onto the floor. It fell onto a rug only about 24” from the floor and broke! It would turn on, but made a horrible high pitched sound and spit out one piece of plastic, then several melted pieces(see photo). Now it just smells like it’s burning, so it’s gone forever. Can’t even use the warranty as it was dropped. I was able to register the dryer without problem on their website too. I can’t imagine this being used by a professional and being accidentally dropped from a standing height! It’s back to my Conair Infiniti Pro which has an a/c motor, has lasted forever, taken a beating, still works well AND cost around $30! So disappointed with THIS purchase!
