Amazing stuff! I use it either when my hair gets greasy from too long a time space between full washes, or when I have absentmindedly applied too much heat protectant, or conditioning mask, and thus caused my clean hair, to be nasty greasy looking. It works amazingly well. I have dark brown hair, and do not find that it leaves any noticable white residue. It has a light to neutral smell, which is pleasing too, and is not tested on animals. I was really dubious about the idea of dry shampoo, in general, but a total convert to using it to augment hair care, now. It has gotten me out of several rushed situations, saving me from the embarrassment of greasy hair for 3-4 hours, when I did not have time for a full rewash. I have used, what feels like a ton of it so far, and yet the bottle is only depleted by about a fifth it’s original volume. Rad!

Body and oil-free for days!
Some here have suggested using corn starch instead to save money. So I tried it and found that it doesn’t come close to working as well as this product. I apply it the day after a wash, and can go at lease two more days with volume and no oil. With cornstarch, my hair still looked greasy and definitely did not have volume.This is the only brand I’ve tried, so I don’t know how it works compared to others, but it is the least expensive (price per gram) that I could find on Amazon.If you use too much it will make your hair look white. But if that happens, all you have to do is get a damp cloth and gently dab the part line because that’s the only place it shows.If you want a spray, KMS Hair Play works really well. However it is more expensive and I don’t like breathing sprays (although Hair Play has a pleasant smell and isn’t overpowering). In my opinion, this dry powder works just as well and is more natural.

Favorite dry shampoo
This is a great dry shampoo though it takes a bit of practice and I find it works best if I sprinkle just a bit onto an open hand and then spread a little on both palms to apply, and repeat as necessary. It does not work immediately in my experience, but within an hour or so (or longer) it really does a great job. It has virtually no scent which is important to me because fragrances are super irritating to the scalp, even if they’re pleasant to smell. I’ve purchased many dry shampoos thinking I’d find something worthy of 5 stars, but not even Klorane’s (powder or spray) dry shampoos work as well. Klorane’s dry/powder shampoo is difficult to disperse without getting almost no product or way too much, and it’s highly perfumed.The only drawbacks of this product are that it probably won’t blend well with darker hair, though the powder look does fade after an hour or so. It’s also a little bit gritty if you use too much, which is why it’s a good idea to use a smaller amount and then build up as needed. I’ve noticed best results after a few hours or even the following morning, more so than with other products.So, it’s not perfect, but it’s besting the competition even though it doesn’t seem to be a well-known product for some reason. It’s really inexpensive compared to similar products and I love that Giovanni is cruelty free and that this product has no dyes or scent. It does last a very long time too, and you can see exactly how much product is left thanks to the packaging.

While the product is not noticeable if brushed through hair well, I don’t notice any scent. I have a hard time getting the product out of the nozzle tip dispenser. When I can get it to come out, it either pours out in clumps or tiny dots. The hard plastic bottle is not flexible enough to allow for squeezing that might allow for better application. In my opinion this product is simply some marked-up cornstarch in a fancy, but difficult to use, purple dispenser bottle.

please do not get this and waste your money
I’ve used a number of different shampoos. This is the first one that came out in chunks. There were a couple of reviews that were spot-on and I should have listened to them. The bottle is a hard plastic, not a squeeze bottle, so the powder came out in clumps. I was “it’s okay, i’ll just brush and break up the clumps, no problem!” WRONG, the clumps did not break up, in fact I used a bristle brush to try to spread and break up the powder, instead the clumps fell out of my hair and I looked down, to find little clumps of powder all over the floor. Ladies, please do not get this and waste your money. I should have listened to some of the reviews, this did NOT do well and I wanted it to so much! I only purchased this because, I’ve used Oscar Blandi powder and it worked GREAT, but it’s out of stock on Amazon.

Didn’t excite me or deliver.
I hate to leave a review as such but I would have got better results just using baby powder or cornstarch. I wanted to like this. The description sounded amazing. But after a week of getting, it’s almost gone. I kept trying to use it hoping that it would do something but it really didn’t. it gave me no volume really at all, and I have never really had this issue with dry shampoo spray or powder. They always gave me a tad of volume this didn’t. I have feel in love with shampoo powders because for the most part only a little has to be used and they last longer and are just better then sprays. I just used up the drop dead gorgeous one and was hoping this would be the same. But it just didn’t deliver. I was also wanting to try other brands and this was a tad cheaper. The smell I can’t explain it was like creamy kind of nice but kind of just weird I don’t know lol that part just wasn’t consistent with me. It just did not amaze me overall. Like I said I wanted to love it, the product description sounded awesome, for me personally this was a fail. But may work for others.

Lots of body, no oil, lasts a long time.
There is a bit of a learning curve with this product. If you simply pour it on your hair, in my experience, its hard to get rid of the color from it. Instead, I dump the product in my hands and massage it through my roots. Gives your hair a ton of body and lift, and because it isn’t an aerosol can, the product itself lasts forever.

Amazing product!
This is the ONLY dry shampoo I’ll use. It’s a very fine powder and as long as you’re using it properly and rubbing a small amount into your scalp you will no see it. I skip washing my hair in between showers and sometimes if I just don’t have time to shower I use this. If my hair is greasy my face gets greasy too, so I use this. It absorbs the oil enough that my face doesn’t get greasy either. It’s awesome.You spread a small amount over your hands and rub it through your scalp in sections, then brush your hair out. I always finish by putting coconut or keratin oil on my ends and putting into a bun so some curl with form and the oils can do their magic.I have medium wavy to curly hair. I recommended this product to my little sister. She has very tight curls and other dry shampoos with too many chemicals have burned her scalp. This product will not! It’s very gentle yet effective.
