If you are looking for temporary color that is child friendly, buy these now! Light or dark hair…don’t care.
I LOVE this product and have recommended it to about everyone who will listen. On non-color treated hair, without heat sealing, the hair chalk washed out in one wash with one normal shampoo-but did begin to run onto the neck and ears with some sweating. On non-color treated hair, WITH heat (blow drying, not straightener), the hair chalk took 3 washes (2 days) with normal shampoo. On color treated blonde hair, WITH heat, these bad boys were not too easy to remove. The blue, pink, green, and purple remained for multiple washes, but did get softer after every wash. These four colors were used to create “Mermaid Hair” and it looked FANTASTIC.Blondes: Half of the set is PERFECT for you, and you can still use the others for a less dramatic look. The bright glitter colors are AMAZING. The colors really pop (especially the bright glitter blue and the pink). The ones that I’m describing as not being “perfect” are the silver glitter, yellow, and the light pink. The silver does not show up all too well, the yellow is..well yellow, and the light pink shows up but was not as dramatic as my very blonde daughter would have liked.Brunettes: Some of the set is PERFECT for you, and you can try the other colors but expect less dramatic/bright colors. The lighter and pastel colors really show up, but the bright glitter colors don’t really pop like they do on blonde hair.Lastly, and more importantly, these did NOT irritate my daughter’s or my VERY sensitive skin.

Fun and easy to use with no mess hair chalk set!
My girls absolutely loved this easy to use hair chalk! The directions were super easy to follow and my 10 year old and 8 year old were able to do this kit all by themselves! The colors were vibrant and fun. It worked great in my daughter’s dark blonde hair and my other daighter’s Medium brown hair. The chalk did not drip or stain anything or make any kind of a mess which made me super happy!!! It washed out perfectly in the shower and again did not cause any staining or mess! I absolutely recommend this fun and adorable hair chalk set!

Fun, Vibrant Colors. Easy to Use
I have colored my hair for years and lately, my daughter has asked about adding fun pops of color to her hair. Yes, as a mom, I’ve been hesitant to let her add any color to her hair. I always worry about damaging her hair or the color never completely going away. She finally wore me down and I ordered this fun GirlZone Hair Chalk Set for her. Of course, I tried it on my hair first. I was quite pleased with the ease of applying the hair chalk (no mess!), the vibrancy of colors (plus the great color selection!), and most of all, how well it washed out/faded. Even with my color damaged hair, I had no trouble removing the hair chalk color. My daughter really enjoyed this set because it gave her the chance to experiment with fun hair color and she could even apply it herself! Definitely a great set for younger girls who want to express themselves with fun hair colors and for moms who don’t want anything damaging their daughter’s hair.

The kids love these and they wash out super easy! They are make like a crayon that can twist up. Meaning the kids can draw like a crayon or marker instead of using messy chalk that has to go over the hair several time before you can see it. They are a little waxy, but wash out super easily! Will purchase again!

I wanted to really like this. I checked many others before settling on this one. But colors are hard to use, sticks are not that pigmented. Tried in wet or dry hair, it left a sticky feeling that made my daughter want to wash afterwards.

Works on black hair
In the beginning, I wet my daughter’s hair to prep it for the chalk and was a little disappointed that the chalk didn’t seem to show very well and it seemed to be flaky. However, as she was still having fun, I kept coloring chunks of hair and started realizing that it began coloring better and better as her hair dried. At some point, I just started applying the chalk to her dry hair and it showed up very well. Her hair also kept a nice texture (but this may be because she has naturally curly hair). My recommendation for people with black hair is to apply the hair chalk to DRY hair, not wet. We are both pleased with the effect and how well it shows up. It also washed off my hands very easily with just water. I combed my daughter’s hair out to distribute the initial chalk chunks and you can still see the color. I wasn’t expecting much, so I’m surprised at how well it works and looks.

Beautiful results!!!, but the texture afterward needs some love
We LOVE this product! The results are beautiful!! We’ve done my daughter’s hair several times—mermaid colors, green stripes for St Pattys, and rainbow are our favorites so far.The sticks are easy to use, but I’ve found that putting a hard surface under each strand of hair (I used a tissue box last time) and coloring the top AND bottom of each strand is most efficient for color saturation. I section her hair and work from the bottom to the top, one 1” stand at a time. And while it may feel like you’re coloring the hair for a long time this way, the stick doesn’t seem to go down much (so they’ll last for a very long time and many many uses!). However if you’re just highlighting (PIC #1) you could be done in less than 5min.The only downside to this product is definitely the texture. If you’re saturating the hair in color like in our last two photos it leaves the hair pretty “greasy” looking at first (PIC #2) and “gritty” feeling!! I’ve found that very (!!) gently brushing it when we’re done, and several times throughout the day, really helps with the look and feel of it (PIC #3).Hope this helps!! Oh and yes, it does wash right out!! We haven’t had it stain her blonde hair or bedding, and we’ll typically leave the color in for about 2 days until her next bath.
