Exceeded my expectations
I bought it as a replacement to my Gold N Hot styler dryer with the comb attachments. I’d had it maybe 12-15 years, it’s been so long that I’ve lost track. It still worked but when the case around the plug cracked it was no longer safe to use. As much as I loved that dryer I decided to try one that didn’t need replacement combs. So far, so good.I’ve used it 3 times. I didn’t want to review after one use so here we go… I am African American with thick “4C” shoulder blade length hair. Surprisingly the dryer is much lighter than expected. The brush isn’t too bulky to get my hair straight from roots to ends. Some reviewers complained about the noise but I always dry on low so noise is not an issue for me. Perhaps I should have tried high for the sake of the review.My hair dries nicely and it even appears to be a little longer because it’s much more sleek and the ends are way smoother than before. My hair even seems to retain moisture better and overall it looks healthier without dry, frizzy ends. My hair dried very quickly with the first use so I timed the second and third uses. I went from 35-40 minutes to 22 minutes so it definitely saves time.My only complaint is that the paint wore off very quickly. The padlock icon wiped off with the first use, and the settings are barely visible after the third use. It’s not a big deal since I’m familiar with how to use it but a small annoyance nonetheless. Still, I highly recommend this dryer.

STRAIGHTENED WELL BUT ONLY LASTED 10 MONTHS
I have frizzy wavy curly “Hebrew Hair” that can look Carrot Top or Larry Fine from the 3 Stooges if not tamed. This hair dryer is a bit heavy for me as I am a 69 year old 100% disabled veteran, but it does give me straight and shiny hair with about 15 minutes of aggressive pulling at it. Due to our already dry Las Vegas climate I also have to use conditioning treatments after shampoo and then a leave on treatment of extra heavy Argan oil to keep the heat of the blow dry from totally frying and drying out my hair. And I try not to wash and blow dry straight more than once every 6-7 days. All that said I bought this Gold N Hot in July 2023 and on May 20, 2024 I turned it off, unplugged it, and for the next minute it sounded like a ticking time bomb (definitely sounded like a potential fire hazard and I would never plug it back in.) Luckily a year ago they offered an Asurion insurance policy so I did get a refund to buy another product. However, it looks like they no longer offer any insurance with this hair dryer. Maybe this model just doesn’t last and Asurion lost too much money. I will probably still buy it again as it has one of the largest coverage hair paddles and the cost is relatively cheap under $40.00. But any product should last at least one year before it croaks.

Gold n hot never fails 😍
I always used this brand as a kid. Its great on natural hair & detangkes pain free even on hair needing trim. Dry time is quick & gets to the roots. The bristles are spaced perfectly! Very easy to hold and maneuver. Simple enough for preteen to use and put together on her own. Cool setting works well also.

Quick, smooth, dry results on natural hair
This dryer/styler is amazing. I have 3C/4A hair and I was skeptical that it would take forever to dry my hair in tiny sections or that the bristles would pull my hair out. Tried it once and I’m sold. It works wonders to get my hair dry, straight, and manageable quickly. It will not make your hair “silk press straight,” so if that’s the look you’re going for, you’ll need to follow drying with another heat tool. But it is great for general drying to put hair in buns, braids, or detangled/dry for protective styles.

Very Pleased, but You Need to be Tangle Free
I bought this dryer after looking at different paddle brush dryers for a very long time. I bought this based on the reviews of other users, so thank you to you all. The reason I bought this one versus others is because it looked larger than what I usually see, and I wanted something that could dry a lot of hair quickly. Having a large surface area for the brush really makes a big difference. I’ve used it once so far and I was very pleased with how quickly it dried my 4A/4B hair.The reason for four stars, instead of five is the brush is advertised for being detangling, and I did not have that experience at all. Any time I had any tangles or knots in my hair as I was drying it, the brush got stuck and would have easily pulled the hair out if I didn’t stop and take the time to detangle. The finished product was not quite as straight as it is when I use the blow dryer with a comb attachment, but it was faster, and I consider that a great success! If you are going to flat iron, your hair after you finish drying it, then it doesn’t make a big difference.A long review here, but it took me a while to decide which one to get, and I am indeed happy with the purchase and would recommend it.

I am a licensed cosmetologist who likes a blow dryer with a comb attachment to use on myself but I kept seeing blow dryer brushes and had to try it. And I went to a trusted brand that I have for all my hair appliances, Gold N Hot, and it didn’t fail. It gets hot enough, easy to work, and easy to clean. It gives me a good blow out where I only pass my flat iron (450) one time through my hair and it’s pin straight. I can dry my hair in 20 mins as opposed to the 40 with the blow dryer. And just to be clear I have 4B hair.I will say there aren’t any holes for drying in between the actually bristles, the holes are at the top and bottom of the brush. It’s heavier than I expected but it’s like a blow dryer. It’s a good size, it’s not big and clunky where you can’t use it.In the picture the clipped hair is wet and waiting to be dried, the other side is already dry using this product.
