Great Scent, Healthier Scalp
I have been looking for soap and shampoo products that are more natural than the detergents that are common on the market.The soap I use has 20% Pine Tar and I love the way it smells. I was looking for a shampoo and conditioner to match that same scent.This does!The product is very thick and lathers very well with a small amount. I believe this is what has helped with other reviewers having commented on this product helping their scalp with certain ailments.I do not have those ailments, but it has significantly helped with dandruff.This is a great product, with a great scent, and if you found this and are down in the reviews reading, do yourself a favor and Add To Cart. It is definitely worth it.

Smells incredible, my hair is soft, and it is apparent that this company is interested in their customer’s health and wellfare. The smell IS strong and I could see how some would be sensitive to it, but I love it and want everything in my life to smell like it. My hair is so soft after using this product. I have used my wife’s products before and only the high end stuff makes my hair feel this soft. I love that the products are natural and there are no sulfates. Thank you Grandpa. The only thing I want to smell like ever again
This is a fantastic shampoo/conditioner combo – I love the way it makes my hair feel, and even more, I love the scent. As others have stated, don’t go into this expecting pure pine. There are notes of pine in there, but most of all it smells like a campfire. I strongly prefer this type of subtle, natural scent over the strange, artificial fragrances you’ll find in most mens body products. I was thrilled when I saw they also had a body wash with the same scent, so I got that too.What’s more, this is a US-based, family-owned company who seems to care about using quality ingredients as well as sustainability. I like that.I found exactly what I was looking for here – a new signature scent with ingredients that are easier on my hair and body. I just bought a bunch more to stock up. Thanks, Grandpa!

Smells pretty bad, feels nice, not sure it works
I have seborrheic dermatitis, and was recommended that I try a pine tar shampoo to treat the itchy, scaly patches and dandruff.I’ve been using this product for just over a week now, and don’t notice a reduction in itchiness, scaliness, or dandruff. I am going to continue to use it, however, for at least another week because I believe in giving a product like this some time to work, and don’t believe results should be immediate. I will revisit and edit this review after further use.Previously, I have tried Head and Shoulders, Selsun Blue, Body Shop Ginger Tea Tree shampoo, Cider Vinegar shampoo and conditioner, and Neutrogena T-Gel. I have used Tea Tree serum topically, and also taken cider vinegar capsules. All were unsuccessful in treating my problem.Pros: I like that it came with a conditioner, as I’m a female and I have extremely long hair that I cannot leave unconditioned. The conditioner has a good quality feel to it, it isn’t thin or disappears once you put it in your hair. My hair feels nice once it’s dry. The shampoo, also, feels like a quality product. It is thick, it creates a nice sudsing action, and my hair feels clean.Cons: It reeks. I thought it would smell like maybe patchouli or some sort of piney smell. No. I smell like a jacket that was worn next to a campfire for several days. It’s embarrassing. As mentioned beforehand, at this point using it for the past 10 days, I haven’t much noticed a difference in my dermatitis.

Smells like a fire
Shampoo lathers up nicely and leaves hair feeling clean. Removes hair product like pomade and clay easily and usually on the first wash.The conditioner makes hair soft without weighing it down or leaving a filmy feeling.Scalp feels nice and clean as well, with the only complaint being the rather strong scent of burning that hangs around for at least the whole day.No idea if others can smell it, I haven’t asked, but if you’re sensitive to strong smells you should look elsewhere. The smell is definitely stronger and lingers longer than the pine tar bar soap.Other than that, this set is a solid choice for scalp comfort.Edit: having paid closer attention the last time I used this, it turns out that its actually just the shampoo thats has the strong smoke smell, while the conditioner has a more pleasant piney smell.

Strong masculine charcoal smell, good for skin problems
If you’re looking for all natural shampoo & condition, this is it, BUT the smell is NOT going to be for everyone. My husband has skin problems, and this has really helped clear his skin problems up. It makes your hair soft, and manageable, BUT the smell is kind of like charcoal. I have migraines, and there are days I can’t use it because the headaches make me sensitive to smells, and it’s charcoal smell is just too much (but I have the same problem with other shampoos too). It smells like burning charcoal to me, which is a clean smell, but not very feminine. I think men will like this, and women won’t, because it’s a very masculine smell
