    Cooling, Soothing -It Actually Calms Skin

    This Gummy Professional Bloom shave gel is a very solid product. It’s a true clear gel, which is a little unusual at first because it can get lost in your scruff. You need to pay attention to where you’ve applied it, but the soothing gel is also what makes it great for shaving. It has a cooling feel and (again) is very soothing on the skin. After shaving I didn’t even feel the need to use aftershave, which is rare for me. I have sensitive skin and usually deal with heat, irritation and itchiness after shaving, but none of that happened after using this. This genuinely calmed my skin instead of aggravating it, similar to Aveeno shaving gel. The size is excellent, the pump is convenient and the price for this amount is very reasonable. While I’d probably call it 4.5 stars, I’m rounding up to a 5. If you want a fragrance-free shave gel that performs well and actually helps sensitive skin recover, this is an easy recommendation.

    Not Fragrance Free

    Let me start off with what I don’t like… The reason why I wouldn’t want to get this again is that it is definitely NOT fragrance free. There is a very noticeable scent to it that I am not a fan of. It seems kinda floral, in my opinion. Maybe that is why they call it “Bloom”? Having it on my face, right up under my nose, makes it kinda hard for me to hold off my urge to sneeze from the scent. So if you are looking for something unscented and fragrance free, this ain’t it! Pretty disappointing for a product that point-black misleads you by saying it doesn’t have a fragrance. It’s a shame, too, because I otherwise really like this stuff! The huge bottle is a great value for the price. It will certainly last you quite a long while, as a little goes a long way. The gel feels cool and refreshing, slick but not sticky. Definitely helps the razor glide smoothly for a great close and comfortable shave. It takes a little bit of extra water for rinsing it off, but leaves my skin feeling soft afterwards. I tend to be a bit acne prone and this didn’t irritate that or cause extra pimples for me. I would give it 5 stars, if not for the smell! If you’re looking for unscented, this is a lie. If you don’t mind a fragrance, then this stuff is great!

    Great shaving gel, highly recommend

    My husband can’t quite grow a full beard, but has to shave regularly otherwise it gets very prickly for everyone involved (i.e. me). By the way, as I was writing this, he just piped in and added, “if it was fully grown, it would be a ‘goatee'”.He often cuts his chin and upper lip while shaving (and he’s very lazy and doesn’t like changing out the blade often), so thought I’d get this for him to try to avoid the multiple lacerations he gets once a week. The gel has a pleasant floral scent that tends towards neutral. It does fade after a few minutes if it bothers you though. My husband purports that said gel feels nice on his skin and prevents cuts, and doesn’t ‘foam’ like other gels — it’s the consistency you get while washing your hands with bar soap.Also has moisturizing qualities, which is a nice twofer since asking my husband to moisturize or put on sunscreen is like asking him to yank his own hair out (lol).

    Generous amount of gel, face feels good after shaving, but gel not unscented as advertised

    When I ask my husband what else he needs from a store, he often asks me to pick up shaving cream. He likes to try different kinds, so I ordered this Gummy Professional Bloom Shave Gel for him. We were both surprised at the size of the bottle; it’s 33.8 ml! We were also surprised that, while it was advertised as unscented, it is definitely not fragrance-free. The fragrance isn’t super strong, and it does dissipate fairly quickly, but there is a light minty fragrance.What he liked about it: He liked the large size of the bottle and felt it was a good value. And he liked the way his face felt after shaving — it felt very smooth and moisturized.What he didn’t like: The gel is perfectly clear and did not lather or foam. He complained that it was hard to see where he had shaved and where he had not, because there was no visible line of demarcation like there is with a white lathering shave cream. I borrowed it to shave my legs, and felt the same way about shaving with the clear gel. Adding a tint to the gel would help solve this problem.

    This shave gel says it’s fragrance free in the title and the description- but it in fact is not fragrance free. It even lists fragrance in the ingredients list.This shave gel is thick and goopy. The smell isn’t pleasant. And I still got quite a few cuts and razor burn when using. I don’t recommend
