Sparkle Glitter Tinsel; No Tools No Clips.It’s such fun to add glamor and glitz to my hair for special occasions!I ordered this hair tinsel to jazz up my and my friends hair for a milestone birthday ‘girls night out’ and we had such fun with it.The set doesn’t come with tools or fasteners to use when attaching the tinsel to your hair so don’t forget to order a set and some hair beads if you’re planning on wearing you hair down.We didn’t have the required tools on hand so we decided to braid the tinsel into our styles and it was absolutely adorable.The tinsel quality is as expected and don’t be fooled by the small plastic pouch it comes in, there’s a decent amount of tinsel to do several applications so it’s a good value.Good quality, good value, and easy to use if you’re willing to be flexible with your styles.

    My daughter tried these Hair Tinsel Glitter Hair Extensions, and she had a lot of fun with them. They are definitely more suited to her than my wife, especially because she enjoys adding colorful and sparkly touches to her hair. She liked the iridescent colors and the way they caught the light, giving her hair a fun, playful look without needing to change her hairstyle completely.One of her favorite things about the tinsel is how shiny it looks. The strands have a really nice sparkle, especially when the light hits them, and they added a little extra personality to her hair. She liked that she could choose where to place the strands and mix different colors depending on the look she wanted. It worked well with both everyday hairstyles and when she wanted something a little more fun for going out or a special occasion.The 47-inch length was also convenient because she could trim the strands to fit her hair. She liked having the flexibility to make them shorter or leave them longer depending on the hairstyle. Another big positive is that the tinsel is heat resistant, so she could style her hair while still keeping the colorful strands incorporated into her look. Of course, she was careful with heat and did not use unnecessarily high temperatures.She also liked that the set includes 900 strands, which gives plenty of material to experiment with. Even though there are six pieces, there are a lot of individual strands, so she felt she could create a subtle look or add more tinsel for a much more noticeable effect.The main downside is that this is the tinsel only, so there are no tools or clips included. My daughter had to spend a little time figuring out the best way to attach the strands securely to her hair. It takes some patience at first, but once she got the hang of it, she found the process much easier. She also recommends trimming the strands carefully after attaching them so they blend naturally with the rest of the hair.Overall, my daughter really enjoyed these Hair Tinsel Glitter Hair Extensions.     Plenty of Tinsel for a Fun, Subtle Sparkle

    I had never used hair tinsel before but had wanted to try it for a while, so I was excited to get this set. It includes a huge amount of tinsel, especially if you only want to add a few sparkling strands here and there. One package could last a very long time or be shared among several people, making it an excellent value.The tinsel feels like a thin plastic material rather than actual hair, but it blends in nicely when used sparingly. I added about five pieces, which creates approximately ten visible strands because each piece is folded in half during installation. I really like the subtle sparkle it adds to my hair.After watching a few tutorials, I tried the knot method by creating a slipknot around several strands of my hair and securing it with a double knot. My hair is very slippery, and since this was my first attempt, I managed to tangle it near the roots and make my sensitive scalp a little uncomfortable. That was an installation issue rather than a problem with the tinsel itself. Next time, I may try attaching it with small clamp beads, similar to the method I used years ago for feather extensions.I also curled my hair after installing it. The tinsel didn’t really hold the curl or blend into the shape of my curled hair, but the straighter pieces weren’t very noticeable as long as they weren’t placed directly beside my part.Overall, this is an inexpensive and fun way to experiment with hair tinsel. There is more than enough for numerous applications, a group of friends, or kids who want to add some sparkle to their hair.

    Pretty But Super Messy

    When I took the Hair Tinsel Sparkle Hair Extensions, 6 Pcs, 47 Inch, 900 Strands Iridescent out it immediately started sliding out of the twist tie, which made it nearly impossible to line back up so that I could install the strands evenly. I ended up having to cut them. I think some people in the reviews are confused; I don’t believe that the twist tie is meant to be a method of installation. I think they were meant to be braided in or attached with an extension bead or keratin bead. Because of this, and the fact that it didn’t come with additional accessories to attach, these were not very easy to use. They are pretty and fun, but they are very, very thin and tangle easily, which can then cause them to break. I think next time I will braid them with themselves and install the braids. For the current asking price of $6.99, this is an average value for something with a definite learning curve, that might not work out.

    Fantastic do it yourself hair tinsel

    My granddaughter recently had her hair trimmed at a kid’s salon here locally, and she had a few strands of tinsel added, which stayed in place and looked great for a remarkably long time, even through several washes. Having tinsel installed in a salon can be a bit pricey especially if you have several pieces attached so I decided to try to find some that I could put in her hair for back to school. When I ran across this set of tinsel, I couldn’t believe the low price of just under $10 for 900 strands! The tinsel is fairly long, 47 inches, so they will probably need to be trimmed depending on the length of your hair. I would have also liked to see a tutorial of some sort on how to attach the strands, but upon checking the item description again, I noticed a button that you could click that tells you how you’re supposed to secure them. This is the only part I’m not fond of. The tinsel secures only by twist ties, they do not come with the little metal clamps that makes them a bit more semi permanent such as you would get in a Salon. At any rate, for daily wear, this is easy enough to install and remove, and the tinsel stays fresh looking through several installations. For the overwhelming discount price, I find these well worth the money and you achieve the same desired effect as a hair salon, they just don’t stay in place for long periods of time. You should remove them daily in my opinion. So if you’re looking for an affordable option to expensive Salon brands, this set is perfect. Highly recommend!

    This hair tinsel is colorful and the shine is spectacular. I love how many strands you get. It is packaged in a way that you can easily separate each single strand without having a single tangle. (Just leave them in the clear page. I cut the other end where the twist tie is, and I left the twist tie on it, and I pull one strand out from right next to the twist tie while it is still in the cellophane.)Because my hair is super thin and super fine (which is not at all “super” in my opinion), I struggled greatly with applying these to my hair. I watched application videos which showed it to be easy, but those were done by professionals, which I most certainly am not. You can either use a little hooking tool or you can just tie them in (and be assured that they will eventually slip out without taking your hair with it). But, nope, I could not get them to stay in my hair. I tried to tie them into just a few strands and into a larger clump, but no, it was just not happening. Blame me, and don’t blame the tinsel.So, I resorted to just sticking them in with a buried comb. I didn’t have any small combs, but that would work much better.I did a heat test by using a hot comb on this and then also a curling iron. Neither of them made the tinsel curl up and get weird, so I think they will be fine in your hair.I’m giving it 5 stars because the product seems to be fine. My inexperience should not be a factor in the score.

    This colorful hair tinsel adds a fun, iridescent sparkle to hair, but unfortunately falls short in usability and application.On the bright side, the individual strands are a generous length, heat resistant, and feature vibrant colors that catch the light beautifully.However, the experience is severely hindered by major design and packaging flaws. The kit comes with absolutely no tools and no instructions, leaving you to guess how to apply them. Worse yet, because of how they tie in without clips or specialized tools, the tinsel constantly slips and just falls right out of your hair shortly after tying.If you already know professional application techniques or have your own tools and bonding supplies, you might make them work. For everyone else, the lack of guidance and poor hold make this set frustrating to use.
