I ordered this Soapstones Happy Feet Peppermint Rose Foot Butter -75g – Heel Stick for Cracked Heel Treatment to use on dry winter skin.My heels aren’t cracked, but they do get very dry in the winter months. This convenient roll on treatment is easy to apply and very hydrating. This foot butter (weird name, but it works so well!) is made with vitamin E, hemp seed oil, jojoba oil, and shea butter, and the very first time I applied it, I could feel the dry skin on my feet soaking it up. I applied a good coating of the foot butter and a pair of old socks, and went to sleep. The next morning, my feet were so much softer and smoother.This has a peppermint rose scent, but to be honest, I only smell peppermint. It’s a very bright, clean scent, and quite refreshing. The scent is fairly strong, but not overwhelming. I generally prefer unscented or lightly scented products, but I quite like the peppermint.I like how easy it is to use this product—the roll on holder makes it easy to apply, and you don’t get any on your hands. The roll on container holds about 75 g of product, and it a good size to throw into a weekender bag for travel.This is my first experience with SoapStones, a Canadian company. I like that their products are all natural and chemical free; I like this foot cream so much, I want to check out more of their line.This is gentle enough to use every night, and that’s my plan. Already, my feet are better hydrated and less flaky with dry skin. I also really like the invigorating peppermint scent, there’s something very wintry and Christmassy and outdoorsy about it that I enjoy.

While I don’t have cracked heels, I do struggle with very dry heels on the verge of cracking. I usually rely on Vaseline, but this product outshines it—it heals rather than just protects.The stick is about the size of a deodorant stick, though slightly shorter. This design makes it super easy to apply. The formula is thick yet spreads well, allowing me to target my heels and then use the remaining product to nourish the rest of my feet. The result? Smooth, soft feet that feel incredibly pampered.Why I knocked off a star:The product comes off the stick quickly, which provides excellent coverage but also means it gets used up faster. Coupled with its premium price, it feels less practical for everyday use as advertised. However, for someone dealing with more severe dryness or cracking, it might be well worth it.Overall, I find myself rubbing my feet together as I write this because they feel so soft and nourished. Even if you’re only buying this for heel repair, it works beautifully. Perfect Minty Moisturizer for Soft Smooth Heels
The minty scent is refreshing, like a peppermint patty, while the rose fragrance is barely noticeable. It feels incredible when applied—easy to use and much less messy than lotions or creams. I love that it’s portable, making it perfect for travel, and it does an amazing job of moisturizing my heels and keeping them soft, which is essential during the winter months.

Effective foot balm with a few drawbacks
This foot balm comes in a deodorant stick style applicator, which works well. The balm is soft compared to deodorants and one should not put high pressure when applying to avoid getting too much. It has a strong minty fragrance which some people might not like. Another downside was that the balm makes the feet somewhat hot, and if shoes all worn day, the feet may feel sweaty.The balm however is effective in healing dry skin, and after a few days, I was able to feel the difference in my feet. So, while this product is effective, it comes with a few disadvantages.

5 stars if you want nice foot lotion, 4 stars if you wanted “no mess”
I got this specifically for my husband. He has very dry, cracked heels that he likes to jokingly call “prehistoric riverbeds.” We’ve gotten him other foot lotions and creams before to try to help hydrate these, but he never ends up using them because he doesn’t want to deal with the mess and getting lotion on his hands. So this sounded great! I loved the idea of having it in a deodorant-like container for easy application and keeping your hands clean.However, my husband reports that the lotion stick is very soft so it ends up getting very messy during application and there was a bunch of it over the sides of container, even though he was trying to be careful with it and didn’t have much rolled up. He ended up needing to use a paper towel to clean up the sides before he could put the cap back on. Like he pointed out, his hands did technically stay clean, but it wasn’t completely mess-free.There are no directions on the product container, but I think it’s pretty straightforward. I personally can’t smell anything other than the peppermint, but my husband says he likes it. So while this isn’t completely mess-free, it is much easier to apply than regular foot lotions so my husband says he’s willing to keep using it. He says that it isn’t greasy feeling and that his heels already feel much softer after the first time using it so I’m sure it’ll only just get better as he keeps his “prehistoric riverbeds” hydrated for once.

Messy but effective
This Soapstones foot butter is for treating the dry and cracked skin on your heel. The foot butter does not come in a tub of lotion rather this Soapstones foot butter comes in a plastic applicator much like a typical stick deodorant. Applying it from this applicator is very easy, use the dial on the bottom of the applicator to push up the lotion then just rub the lotion onto your heel. However, this is a bit of a messy process.When you push the lotion up out of the applicator to apply the lotion onto your heel, the lotion is typically at or above the top rim of the applicator. When you apply the lotion onto your heel the excess lotion is rubbed onto the sides of the top of the applicator. You can then rub the lotion on your heel into your skin. Meanwhile, you have a messy applicator. Just rub off the excess of course and maybe apply that excess lotion to your other heel or for the dry skin on your hands.Aside from the applicator, this is a pleasant peppermint smelling lotion with a number of ingredients that will help dry and cracked skin. Such ingredients include shea butter, vitamin E, beeswax, a large number of different seed oils (canola, castor, grape, jojoba and others) along with hemp seed oil. The Soapstones foot butter definitely works to help your dry and cracked skin.

Great foot moisturizer
I have other products from this brand and I love using shea butter on my feet so I was excited to try this. I lover peppermint so I didn’t have a problem with the scent and didn’t find it to be too strong as it was going on my feet. It has like a coconut oil consistency in the sense that its solid when it’s cool but when heat is applied it melts, but the deodorant container could be an issue when traveling to warmer areas. The product it self is great, you don’t need much of it to moisturize your whole foot. My feet tend to sweat so I don’t like putting lotion on them because they actually make my feet sweat and shea butter is one of the few products I can use that hydrate my feet and this was wonderful.
