Great pair of nippers! I bought one at Christmas time for my wife, i used them once and had to buy a pair for myself. these are sharp, comfortable and they have an actual Spring that opens them, not just a piece of metal that doesnt stay in position or starts to flatten out over time making the nippers not as springy as they were when new. And for the $$$, these are a steal! **** ********* Update, here it is a couple years later and I am about to buy my 3rd pair of these nippers, thats how great they are. The two I bought already are still going strong, still sharp as can be and still do a great job, Ive even used mine to cut wires while working on one of my guitars…lol Now I’m buying a new one to replace mine because A) My dog chewed off one of the rubber handle covers and B) i need one to keep in my desk at work so ill bring the older ones to work and keep the new one at home (away from Maggie! lol) I’m sure I will get a few more years out of these… If they are still made with the quality of the previous ones i bought.

I use nippers all the time, for trimming away dead skin but also for routine nail clipping. I don’t like traditional nail clippers. They don’t give me the control that nippers do. Over the years since I started using nippers to trim my nails, I’ve gone through I think 5 different pairs. Some of them were name brand, some were professional grade. Each one was made slightly differently. But none of them compare to these.Like other nippers I’ve used, these come with a cap that keeps the jaws closed when not in use. Always a good thing. Not only do they have just the right amount of resistance when using them (and they do), the jaws are incredibly sharp. They will cut through my nails effortlessly–and the skin? Not even a question. That said, I don’t know how long they will remain this sharp. Despite that, none of the others I’ve used have ever been this sharp on day one.As if those were not enough, these nippers arrive in a handy plastic zip-bag, and taped to the inside of the bag is a spare spring. When you’ve used the nippers so long the spring looses its springiness… Just replace the spring. That was a big issue with my most recent nippers. They lost their resistance, and using them was like pulling teeth.I’ll see how they hold up, but for now, I have nothing but praise for these.

Great Sharp Trimmers, Highly Recommended, Spring May Fail After Several Years (7 years for me)

These are well made trimmers that are very sharp and crafted with precision so everything lines up as it should. I can’t say one bad or even mid thing about the trimmer part of this item, it’s easily the best I’ve ever owned.One small con is that the spring design isn’t the best for longevity and will likely fail at some point, though it took years in my case and by then I more than got my money’s worth. Also the black grips may start slipping off at some point, at least one of them did on mine. I had mine for 7 years until the spring finally busted, I don’t use them constantly though and I’m sure that will vary with use.You really can’t go wrong with these trimmers and for $10 they’re one of the best values I’ve found across all of Amazon. I just bought my second one and can hardly wait until they arrive, the two different brands I’ve tried since the spring on this one gave out have been awful in comparison.Highly recommend.

Excellent Grip, Great Design, Perfect for Precision

These for comfortable in my hand. They don’t poke at my palms like other handle shapes. They are easy to use. The nipper part is shaped perfectly. More pointed at the tip and the flatter towards the end so it’s easier to get a clean cut without having to press(when the blade comes together flat) to get the dead skin to push up between the sides of the nipper, they are sharp but very easy to control. I am very impressed with these. I have purchased many different styles and love ranges of nippers in the last decade since nail school and these are now one of my favorites.

I’m grateful that I found these! I need good cuticle nippers that are very sharp and precise. The other nippers that I have purchased are flimsy and neither sharp nor precise. I have previously purchased both Harperton’s finger- and toenail clippers, and I was very pleased. So, when I found Harperton also made nippers, I was hopeful they would be good. They are even nicer than I had hoped!The cutting blades are ground to very sharp and precise edges. They have a solid feel to them.The handles are a thick, curved bar of metal covered with rubbery textured grips. So, they are comfortable to hold and do not slip, even if my hands are wet!Instead of the flimsy and easily bent tine spring of my previous nippers, these have a good quality, sturdy coil spring that is embedded in the nippers close to the pivot point.Since these are so sharp, included is a well-fitting cap for the points. There’s also a zip lock vinyl-like bag to store them. I would recommend them to anyone!
