Hatteker Back & Bald Head Shaver 2 in 1 Electric Razor Body Trimmer Kit

Pretty good, definitely strong value, with some quirkiness

Overall this set presents good value. You get two rotary attachments, and one shear with multiple length guards. I have used two other Hatteker products with good success, and this set seems to fit in line with the quality and performance they offer. It’s not the peak of comfort and performance, but it does work better than the price you pay IMO.The extension handle was one of the more quirky things. It does work, and when you are pushing the shaver along, it works great. When you reverse motion and pull it back, though, assuming you are pressing down enough to make the rotary blades conform to your back, it has a tendency to come out of the handle — it just just pressure fit into it.There is supposed to be a ‘spinning tool’ in the kit to help with cleaning, to spin the rotary blades while you have them exposed, but I could not find this tool. The brush, I did find, hidden underneath the plastic carrier inside of the cardboard packaging. It could have been my error in opening things, not realizing I needed to keep an eye out for small bits. it does not look like the rotary blades are replaceable — I see how they may snap in during manufacture, but it kind of looked like that might be a one way to trip if I took things apart further. The cleaning instructions did not reference removing them, but instead using the (missing or lost for me) spinning tool and the small brush to clean things.I did use this with shave soap and in the shower, as well. It worked fine, but I did not have high confidence that it could withstand multiple sessions in that wet of an environment. It didn’t look totally sealed from the elements, but I could be wrong on that. Again, for the price, this is good value IMO.

Comfortable, great battery life, smooth results…

I’m really getting some good use out of this shaver. I typically shave my head in the shower every other day, but using this for touching up in between has reduced that to essentially once a week. The result is nice and smooth, on par with other electric shavers I’ve used over the years.It is suitable for use wet or dry, but I’ve been using it dry almost exclusively. It came out of the package at 80% charge, but I topped it up to 100% before using it. Since then I’ve used it at least 10 times, and the battery is still showing 75%!I don’t shave my back, but I tried the handle just to see how it reaches and I was able to touch my entire back without straining or contorting myself awkwardly.The feel in my hand is very secure, and it’s not terribly loud. The USB-C charging is handy as well, since I already have cables set up all around my house.All said, I really like having this as part of my grooming routine.

Surprisingly Versatile Shaver With a Few Trade-Offs

I’ve purchased and reviewed over a dozen different shaving and grooming devices from Hatteker, and this particular electric razor body trimmer kit is pretty darn unique! Being able to go from shaving my face or head to quickly and easily shaving my back and other hard-to-reach areas of my body is pretty impressive. The included 14.5-inch auxiliary handle makes reaching my back much easier and gives this shaver a versatility that most grooming devices simply don’t have.As for the main component of the Hatteker Back & Bald Head Shaver, I’d rank the power as being enough to get the job done, BUT just barely. Obviously, that’s somewhat subjective because everyone’s beard and body hair is different in terms of thickness, coarseness and overall growth. If you have really thick or coarse hair, this trimmer might or might not get everything on the first or second pass. I will say that the blades on the attachments seem sharp, and so far I haven’t experienced any hair pulling from them. Keeping the blades cleaned out and adding some oil periodically should also help keep everything working smoothly. If you’re planning on using this shaver with the included handle, keep in mind it Does get Mighty Slippery when the handle specifically gets Wet! The handle really should have had some type of raised dimples/bubbles to grip on to or an actual rubber/silicon cover/sleeve should have been installed. In my opinion that’s a really big issue with the handle, BUT not a deal breaker as you can add some grip style tape which is a cheap addition and would help your grip of the handle during wet use.The attachments are super easy to put on and remove, and I like that they make a nice audible snap when attached, letting me know the head is securely in place and ready to use. The USB-C charging and LED battery display are also nice features, especially if you plan on traveling with it. The IPX6 waterproof design is another BIG Plus since the shaving heads can be rinsed under running water for easy cleanup. A small cleaning brush is included, although I do wish Hatteker had included a small bottle of blade oil. That’s a CHEAP item to add and would have made the kit feel a little more complete.There’s no storage or travel bag included, but I actually understand that decision with this particular shaver. The long auxiliary handle would require a fairly large bag, which would add to the overall cost. Considering the fair price point and just how versatile this Hatteker shaver is, I think that’s a reasonable trade-off. While I would definitely like to see a little more power from the main unit and some blade oil included, being able to groom your head, face, back and other body areas with one versatile device makes up for those shortcomings. So far, the blades have remained sharp and haven’t pulled hair, and I’m pretty pleased with how useful this grooming kit is. If you’re in the market for a versatile shaver, this one should be a good fit for you and one I would recommend!

Ok performance and poor design

I was looking to try a new head shaver and this one seemed to look good and fit my needs well so I decided to give it a try.I wanted it mainly for head use. But the added versatility of being able to use it with a handle on my back sounded nice. I tried both the 5 and 3 headed attachments on my head and the performance was kinda just ok. Not the best quality cut, but I’ve experienced worse. The hair definitely needs to be pretty short first. You kinda have to make several passes (more then normal) to get a close and smooth shave. The battery life and waterproofness does seem to be good so far though. And everything was easy to use, don’t really need any instructions or anything.The handle kinda just feels gimmicky. And the rounded shape of the shaver heads isn’t the best for a back. For it to be effective you would need to do it every couple days too while the hair is short. The trimmer attachment is basically useless. The angle they expect it to be used at is very ineffective. Especially on a back.Overall due to the performance and design I can’t honestly say I would recommend this shaver over others. I feel the the $37 price is kinda high for what you get too and doesn’t represent a good value.
