    Great for kitchen use too!

    I, uh, use these in my kitchen. In my toaster oven. While these are marketed for hair salons, the quality is arguably better than standard grocery store foil. The medium embossing gives the sheets a bit of structural integrity, so they don’t flop around or tear when you’re lining a toaster oven rack. At 5″ x 10.75″, they fit most standard toaster oven pans perfectly with very little folding required. When you have messy hands from prepping food, being able to grab a single sheet from the dispenser without touching the box is incredibly handy.In terms of value, getting 500 sheets for this price is a steal compared to buying precut foil squares specifically sold for cooking.

    As someone who isn’t a professional stylist, I often find the logistics of DIY hair color a bit intimidating. However, these MBS Supplies pop-up foils have significantly simplified my process. The 5″ x 10.75″ sheets are the ideal size for managing sections, and the medium embossing provides just enough texture to prevent the foil from sliding down the hair shaft during application. Being able to pull a single sheet with one hand while holding a brush in the other makes the entire experience much less hectic and far more organized.While the foils themselves are of excellent weight and quality, I was disappointed by the condition of the packaging upon arrival. My box was already open; the designated “tear strip” had been completely removed before it reached me. For a product used in personal grooming, receiving an unsealed container is unsettling. It is a shame, as the product’s performance is stellar. If the manufacturer can ensure every customer receives a factory-sealed box, these would be a perfect addition to any home beauty kit. They offer a level of control and ease that helps a novice achieve professional-looking results.

    Foils

    I like using foil for hair dye jobs. These work well to separate sections for even application and they stay securely in place but allow for very fast removal. The size is great as it allows for good width and length on the strands. They are textured for good grip and better hold and don’t simply slide off during processing. The aluminum material is durable enough for the purpose of chemical treatments. The pop-up feature makes using the foils very convenient as you only need one free hand to grab a foil. You simply fold them into place and unfold when finished as these are disposable and not meant for reuse. I think the quality meets my expectations and the value is in line with similar offerings.

    Restaurant style, but not strong enough

    Pretty standard foil, not heavy duty. The quantity and convenience is nice, these are great for baked potatoes, and covers for small bowls.This is, to me, more of a restaurant type of product, but they should he more heavy duty for a restaurant.

    Highlighting Pop-Up Foil

    My daughter just finished cosmetology school and has been practicing hair around the house. She is primarily using mannequin heads to practice cuts and colors. It was perfect timing when I had the opportunity to order and try this 500 count pop up box of highlighter foil. These individual sheets of foil are 5” by 10.75” in size. They are folded up to a small size and arranged in the box to pop up the next each time you remove one from the box. The box has a perforated hole that is easy to open without tearing the box so that it looks nice once opened. The folds are nicely positioned for folding around sections of hair when chemically treating it. These pieces of foil are strong, well made and thick enough to be effective for using without tearing. She appreciates that they have an embossed texture that makes them slip resistant and easy to use and she appreciates that they are the right size and do not need cutting. She thinks they are great – exactly what she wants in highlighter foils. The price is very reasonable for the large quantity that you receive and this 500 count box will last her a while. She and I both think that these are good value.

    Not the best quality, but can work in some cases

    So far I’m not too impressed with these hair foil sheets. Their quality is lacking a bit, but for something disposable, they might do nicely depending on what they are used for. It’s convenient that they pop up out of the box so you can grab the next one easily.There’s a perforated area that needs to be punched out on the top of the box so you can dispense the foil sheets. The box that I received looked like it had been opened and resealed with tape, so I’m not sure if I got the total amount of 500 sheets. The box did not look full when I opened it, and the tape on top made it difficult to open.The dimensions of 1.75 x 5 inches is correct. They have a .75 inch fold on one end that helps raise the next sheet up in the box so it’s ready to be dispensed. The sheets have an embossed pattern on them, which makes them less slippery.The sheets are thinner than the aluminum foil found in most kitchens, but their thickness seems to be in line with other similar foil sheets on the market, albeit slightly thinner. After folding and unfolding a sheet a couple times, a hole appeared in one of the creases. I don’t think they are that durable, but for some applications they could work.I originally got these for dying my hair, but I’m afraid to use them for this purpose if they can get holes. I’m planning on using them for crafting. I can use them to line small dishes for paint, or as a non-stick surface for stickers or other things. I might use them on my hair to mask off some areas if I’m using a spray on color, but not if I’m using hair dye.
