    Lightweight, compact, easy to use, high quality

    This trimmer packs a mighty punch for its compact size! Don’t let its lack of heft fool you because it gives an amazingly smooth, precise trim!My husband has tried MANY beard trimmers over the years. They all eventually trim his hair but they are NOT all made the same. Some are very hefty, some are cheaply made, others require him to pass over the same areas multiple times to achieve the desired length.I have used Hot Tools hair appliances for many, many years! It is one of my favorite brands. This is the first time that my husband is trying one. :)The trimmer is surprisingly lightweight and comfortable to hold in your hand. It doesn’t feel like a chunky little slab of lead like some he has used. It doesn’t cause any hand fatigue and doesn’t feel cumbersome whatsoever.This is definitely a very user friendly product. There aren’t a million buttons, settings, or weird attachments. For those just starting to trim their beards, this would be a great product to start out with!With the adjustable dial, you can choose between 20 length settings, from 1mm to 20mm. The dial is positioned in a place where your hand isn’t going to accidentally bump it which is much appreciated.You get two removable comb attachments (1-10mm and 11-20mm) to help you get the length you are looking for. Also included is a drawstring travel bag, charging cable, and a tiny cleaning brush.The battery life is long lasting. The description says that it lasts 90 minutes and I would believe it! My husband hasn’t had to charge it yet and he has used it several times!Overall, this is a great all around trimmer, especially for the super reasonable price. My husband thought it was better made and more user friendly than many of the pricier trimmers that he has tried.

    X The light has gone out of my life

    Is the Teddy Roosevelt quote in the headline a bit dramatic? Perhaps. But I am heartbroken by this beard trimmer because I was REALLY looking forward to using it. But mine doesn’t work. At all. Let me explain, and tell you how this free beard trimmer cost me $15 (without ever getting it to work).I was super excited to get this beard trimmer. I was in need of a new one, and we’ve had great luck with Hot Tools products. So when this beard trimmer came available on Vine, I jumped at the chance to review it. But then it arrived, and it wouldn’t charge. At all. Ever.So that led me down a rabbit-hole of trying to get it to take a charge. After my first attempt to charge the trimmer with the included cord, I thought maybe my charger was broken. Three chargers later, I thought it was the faulty cord that came with the trimmer. Being as excited as I was for the trimmer, I actually ordered a replacement charger online. Waited a few days, that came, plugged the trimmer in…still nothing. So then I looked around the house for any sort of plug that might fit the trimmer. The instructions tell you not to do that, but at this point it wasn’t going to get charged any other way. Alas, the one option I found also did not charge the trimmer (though it fit).So, I have to just assume I got a very rare lemon. Which has crushed me more than a $30 trimmer should do to a man. If I had paid for this, I would just return it and get an exchange, but that’s not really an option for me. So I guess I’m just submitting this review as an honest experience I had with this product….though from looking at EVERY other review at the time of this posting, this is apparently an excellent trimmer that works well (when you can get it to take a charge). Sounds like a pretty rare problem, just one that I happened to get this time.While you could argue for a 1-star rating (as mine doesn’t work at all), I’d like to give the company the benefit of the doubt, as I seem to be the only one who had this sad experience.

    I was worried when I saw that the reviews were pretty much bought and paid for, but I got it, and it’s a great piece for beard trimming.It looks like a knockoff of another device, but I don’t care as long as it holds out and works as intended.

    Awesome, Ergonomic, Good for Travel

    I’ve gone through 4 trimmers now and was reluctant to spend over $50 and this gem seems to be a perfect fit! Ergonomic and light, great battery life, and USB charging means another plug I do not have to take overseas! Great buy. UPDATE: 4/27/24 – device just stopped working. Fully charged. No motor movement. Real shame. On the market again!

    Posting my final thoughts first: You want this beard trimmer!It’s that good!I have been using a larger and heavier Remington shaver to trim my beard for the past few years. Thought it would be a good idea to try this HOT TOOLS trimmer as it seemed to be compact enough for travel. And, really, that’s just one of the best minor features about this very lightweight trimmer tool.The best thing that can be said about this trimmer is that it outperforms my Remington. There are two beard adapters here for both long and short beards. I wear my beard very short so I used the “A” adapter. It will take a little time to get to the right settings on the dial and I suggest you go higher first rather than lower and then you can dial down.My first trim was much closer than I had wanted — but that’s my fault. I dialed too low. But it was a great trim! The razor is extremely sharp — so much so that I had a small nick afterward. But again, that was my fault and you are here to learn from my mistakes.The stroke of the trimmer was very smooth against my beard and skin. It trimmed down my beard with little effort and no need for additional pass-throughs. This did the job right the very first time.Yes, this is the perfect travel trimmer as it carries lightly in its own drawstring bag. It comes with a small brush and a USB-A charging cable (you need to supply your own adapter). Charging time is 90 minutes and it can run the same amount of time before battery depletion.This is one small, but mighty beard trimmer that is well-built and will surprise you with how well it performs. I really love this trimmer and could not recommend it more!
