Rather than pay an outrageous price for genuine Norelco replacement blades AGAIN, I decided to give these generic replacement blades a try. If you’ve ever replaced the blades in your Norelco rotary razor before you will find installation of these blades to be easy. For me the shaving experience from these blades is different from genuine Norelco blades. The up and down motion of the razor head with these blades feels lighter meaning I don’t have to press it against my skin as hard while shaving. So far my shave with these economical blades feels as smooth as the shave I get from genuine Norelco blades. However it remains to be seen if these blades will give me the same service as genuine Norelco blades. I’ve been shaving with these blades for a month or so and so far I have had no unusual skin irritation. That being said, there are a number of companies advertising these generic replacement blades on Amazon and they may not all be created equal so you may or may not have the same experience I did using these blades. But if you want to save about 50% over the cost of genuine Norelco blades I’d say give them a try. Your only other option is to buy genuine Norelco blades which are nearly as expensive as buying a brand new razor.

Work surprisingly well

These blades work surprisingly well. I have been having a hard time finding HQ8 replacement blades that cut well. I’ve used a Norelco shaver for about 15 years and I was able to purchase good replacement blades up until the last few years. The bad blades come in the same box and packaged the same way and say they are from the Netherlands as before but they are junk.I decided to try these blades and am pleased with the way they cut. These blades do not come in the Phillips Norelco box as the others, they come in a zip lock package and they say they are made in China, not the Netherlands. These replacement blades are the best I have been able to find at this time. I am actually going to purchase a few more sets before they are no longer available.

Misleading Description and Poor Performance – Not for Coarse Beards (1/5 Stars)

I purchased the RF RollingFit HQ8 Replacement Heads (manufactured by Wiseway, Model HQ8) from Amazon to replace the worn foils and blades on my Philips Norelco Aquatec AT850 Wet & Dry Electric Razor. My razor’s replacement indicator light was flashing, signaling it was time for new parts.These replacements proved to be a significant disappointment. The foils are noticeably different from the original Philips Norelco foils. Instead of having both slots and holes, these only have narrow slots. This design resulted in painful pulling on my coarse beard during shaving.I tried using the new blades with my original foils, hoping to salvage the situation. While this eliminated the pulling, the blades themselves provided a poor shave, leaving significant stubble. Upon closer inspection, I noticed a difference in the blade design: the socket on these replacement blades is noticeably larger than the socket on the original Philips Norelco blades. While they did connect to the drive spindles and appear to function in that respect, this difference in design raises concerns about long-term compatibility and potential wear. Ultimately, I achieved a much closer and more comfortable shave by reinstalling my old foils and blades and resetting the replacement indicator on my razor.”Beyond the performance issues, the product description is misleading. Despite the title, product images, and the first four bullet points in the “About this item” section repeatedly mentioning only “Replacement Heads,” the last bullet point clarifies that the package “includes only 3 new upgraded HQ8 Blades.” Clicking “See more product detail” further adds to the confusion by mentioning both “Replacement Heads” and “Replacement Blades” under Features & Specs – Additional Features. This is deceptive. Buyers should be aware that they will receive only the foils, blades, and a small cleaning brush—not the complete head assembly as depicted in the photos.In summary, these replacement foils and blades are unusable for anyone with a coarse beard. They caused painful pulling with the provided foils and offered a subpar shave when used with the original foils. The misleading product description only compounds the problem. I suspect these might work for individuals with very fine facial hair, but I cannot recommend them. I am returning this product.

NOT THE QUALITY OF OEM BLADES

I ordered and received: HQ8 Replacement Heads for Philips Norelco Shavers,HQ8 Heads Compatible with Philips Norelco Shavers HQ8505 AT815 AT810, 3-PackDecided to replace the very old blades in my Norelco HQ8505. You can see that the new blades (LEFT IN PHOTOS) have a lot more plastic in them than the nearly all stainless steel OEM Norelco blades They fit the razor and seem to be doing the job. I don’t expect to get the life out of them that the original blades provided. I’ve used them for a couple of weeks. The old blades were a decade or two old. I should have replaced them long ago. I notice a deffinite difference.
