The Great Shaver Revival – It works Great
I picked this up for my husband’s older shaver after the original head was not giving him an acceptable shave anymore. The replacement was easy to replace and popped right into place in no time. It was nice to get the shaver back in use without having to replace the whole shaver.The performance is way better with the new head. It moves smoothly and gets close to the skin without excessive pulling or snags. It also follows the face well which helps with getting an even shave around the jawline and neck.I like that the head works for both wet and dry shaving. Being able to rinse it under water after use makes cleanup simple. The stainless steel foil feels durable in the hand and the self sharpening cutter is nice for regular use.Overall, this has been a great lower priced replacement for my husband’s shaver. It restored the performance and was easy to install. For the price it is a good way to extend the life of a shaver.

Solid replacement head.
When it comes to replacement shaver heads I look for a few attributes to be there and this one shined in all of them. First of all, the fit was great. Attention was paid to the engineering of the head to match the original closely enough to snap into place like it was part of the shaver. Secondly, it ran nicely and smoothly. No binding up was detected and no weird sounds either. Lastly, the blades were nice and sharp. The hairs cut really easily with one pass. I didn’t find a lot of missed spots or streaks and the ones that I did I would attribute to my own negligence. I am pleased with this replacement head and after you add in the value you couldn’t ask for any more. This is an excellent product that performs flawlessly.

Great replacement
This is a great replacement shaver head for my current Philips shaver. It fit properly and was easy to install, so I was able to swap out the old head without any hassle. The replacement feels well made and works as expected.It’s nice to be able to replace just the worn-out shaver head instead of having to replace the entire shaver. The wet/dry design is also convenient and gives some flexibility in how it can be used.

Doesn’t fit my HQ9 shaver
I ordered this with the hopes that it would fit my trusty Norelco shaver that uses HQ9 blades. HQ9 blades are hard to come by, but I’ve had luck with using HQ8 blades as a replacement. Hoping this whole head would fit, but alas it does not.This comes with a brush, which is nice. The whole thing is encased in plastic, which I found difficult to open. While the shaver head appears to be the same dimensions as my HQ9 shaver, there are little tabs on the sides of this one that won’t fit over the hinges of my old shaver.Fortunately, the blades are removable, and they do fit and work well in my HQ9 shaver. So I will definitely be using the blades, but still a little bummed I could not get the whole head to work.

Seems to work about as well as the original…but do you need it?
I got this as an extra for my Philishave razor (see pics comparing the original to this one – they even copied the logo). Mine is not a wet/dry model but the top is identical. I compared with my old one by shaving one side of my face with the old and one with the new. The shave seemed identical. The quality of the blades is just as good, and I couldn’t tell the difference of the comfort of the shave. It fit the razor almost perfectly (the hinge was a little more difficult to insert into the slot than the original, but since this is something that you don’t need to do frequently, this isn’t a big deal).For what it’s worth, though, I’ve owned several Philishave razors over the years and have never broken a cover. You can purchase just the blades and combs for much less than this set, which makes this a questionable value unless you actually need the cover. Additionally, I’ve found that Philishave blades last for years and rarely lose sharpness. If they appear to be shaving poorly, they probably need a cleaning (you can soak them in razor cleaner) and then lubricate using electric razor lubrication spray. I do this about once a year and it keeps my razor in peak condition, at least until the battery dies. Both the lubricant and cleaner I have are over 10 years old, so they last a long time. Probably a much better purchase.

Impressive quality
This replacement head fits my husband’s Norelco shaver perfectly. He has several shavers and hasn’t used this one is a while because we were lazy about ordering replacements, so I surprised him with this new head. He replaced the old one last night with the new one and had no problem doing so. He said it’s very sharp and gave new life to his shaver. There was no wobble or weird sounds like he’s sometimes experienced with other generic replacement blades. My husband said the blades glided across his skin and conformed to the shape of his face and neck.. The shave was close with no pulling or dragging, providing a very comfortable and smooth shave with no razor bumps or irritation. It worked well in the shower and was easy to clean. A 2-sided cleaning brush is included. Very good quality and value.

Not quite as good as OEM head, but acceptable shave quality
I ordered this product because I had a need for a replacement head for my old Norelco razor that requires an HQ8 head (see image). This was the first time I’d seen the full head available on Vine, so I immediately ordered it. I was happy with that decision.When the package arrived, I installed the head and was surprised it fit perfectly. I tried it out, and unlike other knockoffs, the blades in this head do a decent job of comfortably shaving without irritation. The shave isn’t as close as with a genuine Norelco/Philips HQ8 head, and it doesn’t seem as durable, but it’s acceptable given the slightly higher cost of a genuine Norelco/Philips HQ8 head.The slightly lower price of this product and the fact that it mostly functioned as advertised makes it a decent value. I thought about giving this five stars, but I went with four because the shave is not as good as with a genuine Norelco/Philips HQ8 head. However, if in 3-4 months the shave remains as close as it was today, I’ll probably update this rating to five stars.

Great Quality
I requested this HQ8 Shaver for my Norelco Shaver that is about 15 years old. The Shaver was delivered in a well protected plastic container that scissors were required to remove it.This HQ8 is not fully compatible with my Norelco Shaver because it will not close/seat properly. The incompatibility is due to the edges from the HQ8 sticking out and my Norelco. I am still able to shave but I feel as the HQ8 shaver is pulling my facial hair where as my old shaver did not pull facial hair. The shaver has the same blades as my old shaver. As a work around, I am going to swap out the blades since they are identical. The price is fair as sometimes it is cheaper to buy a new electric shaver than buying replacement blades. The quality is equivalent to the original.Even though the shaver head was not 100% compatible, swapping out the blades resolved the issue. The price and quality is very good. I still recommend.
