I’m giving this beard wax 4 stars because it does a nice job keeping everything shaped and under control without making my beard feel stiff or crunchy. It works especially well for taming stray hairs around the sides and mustache area, and it gives a cleaner, more groomed look that lasts through most of the day.The texture is easy to work with once warmed up between your fingers, and it spreads evenly through the beard without clumping. As a film and television makeup artist for more than 30 years, I keep a wide range of grooming products in my kit. One area I work with frequently is facial hair, especially on period productions where we use lace facial hair pieces and need them to look natural rather than overly groomed or modern.That’s what prompted me to try this product.The first thing I noticed was the scent. It has a pleasant fragrance without being overpowering, which I appreciate. Left Me Waxy and Untamed
So, I picked up this beard wax by Immortal NYC, and I was hoping to finally lock down my incessantly unruly beard. On the plus side, it has that really nice, signature scent this brand usually nails, which I wish they would just bottle up and I would truly wear it. Now, for me, I found the texture has this great, substantial thickness that feels premium when working it between my hands. But, that is where my good experience ends. For me, it just didn’t have the strength to wrangle my toughest hairs, and after applying it, I still had quite a bit of my beard left completely untamed. I wore it out a few times, and even once to a professional dinner, and I was constantly running back to the bathroom to readjust my beard. It left me waxy and still wiry. Oh well. Not recommended for anything but a soft beard!

Has potential but very small container
This beard styling product works fairly well for helping tame flyaways and keeping hair looking a little smoother without making it look greasy or stiff. The scent is very light and minimal, but still pleasant enough that it does not feel overpowering during use. It is easy to use and apply to your beard or mustache.The jar itself is pretty small, so if you plan on using this every single day you will probably go through it fairly quickly. That said, the packaging is nice overall. It comes with a metal screw-top lid and had a proper inner seal when it arrived, which helps keep the product fresh and prevents it from drying out before opening.In terms of effectiveness, it definitely helped control some flyaways, although it did not completely tame every single one. What was nice is that it did not leave behind flakes, sticky residue, or obvious signs that product had been applied. Everything still looked natural after using it.The texture has a little flexibility to it as well, so the beard did not feel crunchy or overly stiff once styled. Because of that, I think this product is fairly versatile. Overall I like this beard wax. Easy enough to get it out of the container and get it warmed up to use. As others have said, I really like the scent, and my wife does too. Not overly shiny and no excessive greasiness. For me, this works fine in terms of hold, though I don’t need to tame a wiry unruly beard.The fourth picture I’m uploading shows ingredients at the bottom.
