    Disappointing Condition and Performance

    I really wanted to like this product, but my experience was disappointing from the start. The bottle arrived already opened, with visible salt residue around the nozzle and no cap or seal, which made it feel like it had been used before. That alone raised concerns about hygiene and quality.The scent was also not pleasant for me – not something I would want to use regularly. In terms of performance, it didn’t work well for my hair. Instead of adding light texture and volume, it made my hair feel heavier and less natural than expected. I was hoping for a beachy, effortless look, but it didn’t deliver that result.Overall, between the condition it arrived in and the way it performed, I was left quite disappointed. Unfortunately, this is not a product I would recommend or use again.

    Works okay

    I’ve been using this for a few weeks now, and I have pretty mixed feelings about it. It has a really nice, soft, light perfume fragrance. It does give my hair that beachy, textured look I’m going for. I usually spray it on very damp hair and scrunch, and it definitely brings out some natural waves without making my hair feel crunchy. I have very long, curly, thick hair.At first it looks great, but after a few hours my hair tends to get frizzy. I also noticed that if I use a little too much, it can leave a slightly gritty texture, and my hair feels kind of weighed down. The product leaves a sticky residue on my hands after applying.Overall, it works okay, but don’t expect all-day results, and I have to avoid touching my hair too much after styling. It gives a nice, natural wave and holds decently well, but it doesn’t quite keep the texture I’d like for as long as I’d like.

    So, I have been using this ImmortalNYC Salt Spray for a few weeks now, and I find that it certainly delivers on having a lovely smell, which is like a soft perfume. It ALSO does give a fantastic and noticeable boost in texture and volumized look. However, in my experience, despite the claims of a low-maintenance, weightless finish, it actually feels surprisingly heavy once applied, ultimately leaving my hair feeling weighed down and flat, which is the exact opposite of the volume I am trying to achieve. While it does wash out easily as advertised, the application process is a bit of a hassle, first with being weighty, and leaves my hair quite “sopping”, but it also leaves a stubborn, sticky residue on your hands that requires an additional scrub to remove. For a product designed to create effortless movement, I just found that it really fell short of its promises, and it makes it difficult to recommend for anyone seeking a truly light, flexible hold.

    Good Beach Texture at First, But Too Sticky for My Hair

    I had mixed results with this sea salt spray. The first thing I noticed was that it smells really nice without being overpowering. I applied it to lightly damp hair, and after it dried, it gave me exactly the beachy, textured look I was hoping for. It looked like I’d spent the day at the beach with natural waves and added volume.Unfortunately, after a few hours my hair started to feel heavy and sticky rather than textured. It also leaves quite a bit of residue on your hands if you tend to run your fingers through your hair throughout the day, so that’s something to keep in mind.The product claims to use natural ingredients, which initially caught my attention, but I was a little disappointed to see it still contains fragrance since I have fairly sensitive skin and generally try to avoid fragranced products.I also wouldn’t recommend this if you already have a dry scalp or dry hair. The sea salt definitely seemed to dry my hair out more than I expected.Side note, the bottle I received looks slightly different than the photo and has much of the white print worn off, making it look kind of janky overall, but may be isolated incident and doesn’t necessarily affect the product inside.On the plus side, it washed out easily with shampoo and didn’t leave any lingering buildup afterward. Overall, it creates a great beachy look initially, but the sticky finish and drying effect mean it’s probably not the right fit for my hair type.
