Top Quality Indigo Powder
I like this best quality indigo. It’s easy to mix with a little henna, after a few tries I got a good color match for my hair. It’s economical and a great value for the amount of product, they could pack it into bigger pouches though, these ones were stuffed to the gills, should last a very long time. It didn’t frizz out my hair or anything, it made for some nice highlights. I use it by washing my hair then massage in some indigo and henna paste using gloves, then put on a hair bonnet for about an hour, then rinse. It covers the grey nicely, feels fine on the scalp.The key I think is coming up with a good color match and going for it. I’ve used henna in the past, but the addition of a bit of indigo makes a noticable improvement. I may also try doing it in two steps, henna then indigo or vive versa, but for now mixing them together is fine. I can’t fault it for anything other than the bags are a little small, but I just emptied a bag into a glass container. Careful using because it’s staining, wear gloves too.

This is a quality indigo dye, in a fine powder that mixes well.If you are new to indigo hair coloring, be prepared to go through some trial and error. It took me three tries to get it right. I learned that Indigo hair dye, requires a henna base before application, and it’s not always a success.The first time, I didn’t apply the henna beforehand — I used indigo alone and the result wasn’t good. Note: Indigo powder molecules are relatively large and do not easily adhere to hair. Without a henna base, the color will not be as effective.The second time, I got interrupted during the process and I let the mixer sit out for too long, and didn’t achieve the desired result. Note: Indigo powder must be used immediately after mixing, otherwise it will lose its effectiveness.On the third try, I did it right by taking two steps, and it turned out almost perfectly. The color even got better after two days.
