First time thermal brush user, and I was really impressed!
This was my first time using a heated brush, and I loved the way it made my hair look and feel. I could not figure out how to use it to curl my hair, but it did a beautiful job of leaving it straight and smooth and shiny!I followed the directions and used a heat protectant prior to using the brush and allowed it to dry. I didn’t notice immediately that the brush came with little clips to allow me to more easily section my hair until after I was done, but those are going to be really handy next time! The directions to work with small sections of hair at a time will definitely be easier with clips.I have long–almost waist length–thick, wavy hair, and this left it satiny-smooth and straight. I liked the fact that my hair did not feel “crispy” or like it had been subject to a lot of heat. I really appreciated the ability to control the temperature–I stuck with 350, and it worked well.The whole set seemed really well made and like the quality was great–There were lots of little touches–a velcro band to keep the cord wrapped neatly, the clips to section hair and a soft bag to store the brush that elevated the whole set.The brush heated up quickly, which made it seem easier to use (as someone who has jammed their hair into a loose knot or a ponytail for the last 40-some years) and makes me think that I am more likely to use it regularly. The controls are simple and intuitive, and it works well and gives results quickly with minimal effort.I have absolutely no reservations about recommending this. The price-$55 at the time I ordered it–is about what I’d expect to pay for a decent quality tool (having just gotten over my shock that people spend multiple hundreds of dollars on hair dryers…) and this, so far, seems to be really good quality.

Fantastic hair smoother
I’m loving this thermal brush, but I have to admit that I haven’t figured out how to make it curl. Maybe it has to do with the temperature I’ve used so far. I need to read the details on how to use it to get that result. But it works wonderfully to smooth the cuticle of my hair and create a straight and shiny result.I had curly hair from childhood through menopause and tons of it. I couldn’t even comb it and could literally brush it once after a shower, run my fingers through it, give it 3 hours to dry, and it looked great. So, I had no need for a curling iron of any sort.Now I’ve lost 4/5 of the hair I used to have, and it’s scraggly, part wavy, part stick straight. Oh hormones, how I love thee! So it doesn’t look great without some sort of styling tool. But I’m still learning how to use them.I can get curl with a regular curling iron but haven’t figured out how to with this brush yet. So I’ll learn more. But I’m happy enough with the beautiful smooth result of it straightening out all of my wavy, straight, scraggly hair into a uniform appearance. I have to be on video for work these days too, so this is the only way I can look professional since otherwise, it looks like a scraggly, half-wavy/half-straight mess.It heats up super-fast and doesn’t take long to use over my entire head of hair though like I said, I have way less hair than I used to. To work best, this seems to need to work with a smallish section of hair at a time. So the more hair you have, the longer it will take. But it’s well worth it. The $55.99 current price reflects the quality in my opinion, and I would absolutely get it again.

Nice for straightening, swivel cord makes it easier
There are so many hair tools on the market, but I figured I would give this one a try. My hair when dried has a wave to it and I like my hair to be pencil straight with a slight curl in at the end. It works well for straightening and heats up quickly. It fits in my hand well and is easy to use. The little bristles on the brush help to brush through the hair while straightening. The swivel cord is nice to keep the cord from tangling. It has a nice digital display, so you can tell exactly where your temperature is sitting. It has a 30-minute automatic off, which puts my mind at ease, especially with a young teen using it, too. It’s cheaper than some things on the market and even though it is cheaper than the cordless Dyson I own, I don’t think I can replace the cordless with the corded. Overall, a pretty good straightener for those who need something at a more reasonable price than the Dyson.

Good value for a thermal round brush!
This GOLD TIME Infrared Thermal Brush is a solid styling tool, with one caveat about the learning curve.If you’re already comfortable using a round brush, you’ll take to this quickly. If you’re not, there’s a bit of a learning curve to coordinating the brush rotation and tension while you’re styling. It’s not a flaw with the tool itself so much as something to know going in, since a heated round brush behaves differently than a flat iron or a regular blow dryer and brush combo.Once you get the hang of it, there’s a lot to like. It heats up for use quickly so you’re not standing around waiting, and the LED temperature display is genuinely helpful when you want to control the heat level precisely. I have curly hair, and I like being able to use more heat on the first day when I’m doing the initial style, then dial it down the next day for touch ups when my hair just needs a little refreshing rather than a full reset. Having the exact temperature on screen takes the guesswork out of that.The dual voltage and compact size make it a good option for travel (especially if you don’t want to risk forgetting a more expensive tool), and the six heat settings give you enough range to work with different hair types and needs. I’m able to get a nice smooth look using this brush and my favorite regular thermal protection spray.Overall, this is a good thermal brush at a reasonable price for this type of device. Just go in knowing that if round brushes are new to you, give yourself a little practice before you count on it for a quick morning style.

The heat is too hot on this item. There are much easier ways to get a curl. The curl does not stay in your hair for very long. It’s more complicated than it needs to be.

Ok but not top of the line
I previously owned a flat style heated straightener brush shaped more like a flat iron. That shape limits you in achieving smooth, smaller curls. This cylinder shape makes it easier to brush and curl in the same movement. I mostly wear crochet braids but this brush will work well with all my human hair and heat resistant wigs. This brush is corded but has a swivel cord to make it easier to maneuver. It has ionic technology which should help reduce frizz. This brush does have multiple heat settings and a digital display so you’ll always know how hot it is. The 1.5 barrel size is good for medium size curls on longer hair. This brush has good safety features including an anti-slip handle and 30 minute automatic shut off.I have a couple of concerns with this brush. 1.) The bristles feel fairly stiff and I think you need to be careful so they don’t pull, snag or tangle the hair. Unless I missed it I also don’t see what material these bristles are. The description just lists them as 3D. Not sure if they’re just nylon. They don’t feel soft like boar bristles 2.) The description also lists the material as plastic. It the barrel is plastic, it won’t offer the optimum protection or heat distribution compared to ceramic, tourmaline, and titanium. This brush seems like a good buy for a plastic type but you may want to spend a little more for a higher quality model and have a better value for your money. Plus, I think I’ve seen a similar brush for less at my local beauty supply store.
