    Superior to other thermal round brushes I’ve used!

    This Gold Time Infrared Thermal Brush is superior to other heated round brushes I’ve used. It outperforms them in heat performance, hair-grabbing and holding, barrel length, and button control placement. I currently own a WT thermal brush and have owned a BB (high-end) thermal brush. This one outperforms both of them.The barrel on this brush actually reaches a temperature very close to the selected temperature. When I measured its temperature with my infrared thermometer, I was excited to see that most areas of the barrel came close to my selected 360-degree temperature. (The very bottom part of the barrel doesn’t get as hot, which isn’t unique to this brush.) The others I’ve used don’t heat nearly as well. On those, I had to select a temperature above 400 degrees to get the barrel to reach 360 degrees (WT) or settle for lukewarm performance at nearly all heat settings (BB). This one has solid heat performance.The bristles on this brush measure 4mm in length. My WT brush’s bristles are only 2.5-3mm long. That small millimeter addition makes a big difference in this brush’s ability to grab and hold my thicker hair. I don’t have to continually coax my hair onto the barrel or deal with it falling right off.The heated barrel on this brush is 5 inches long, making it 1 inch longer than the WT one. That extra inch is a welcome perk, as it allows me to roll wider sections of hair, reducing my styling time. It also helps when curling the longer areas of my hair, since it holds more hair as I rotate and pull it through to the ends.Finally, I truly appreciate the recessed buttons and their placement. I no longer inadvertently change the temperature as I hold and use the brush, which has made me want to throw the WT brush across the room many times!If you are looking for a great thermal round brush, I highly recommend this one. It creates beautiful curls and waves and helps smooth the ends of my hair that are prone to frizz. It is high quality, making it a great value!

    Didn’t work for my short, fine hair

    I’m a big evangelist for thermal brushes in general. They honestly changed my hair routine. If you’re new to them, it’s worth looking up proper techniques for a blowout versus a straighter style because they’re a little different, and you can’t just use it like a regular brush or curling iron. Keep in mind this is NOT a hair dryer- it’s meant to be used to style dry hair, like you would with a straightener or curling iron.This one heats up fast! My hair is very fine, so I used the lowest heat setting and it was ready in seconds, which I appreciated. It makes it easy to do quick styling without waiting around. I did notice a slight burnt plastic smell during the first uses, which wasn’t great, but I’m hoping that fades over time.Unfortunately, this just didn’t work for my current haircut. I recently cut my hair into a chin-length bob, and the teeth of the brush don’t really grab shorter sections well. I had a hard time getting enough tension to actually style it the way I wanted. With longer hair, I can see this working much better, but with this length it just wasn’t very effective.I really wanted to like this more because the heat and overall feel of the tool are good, but the design just doesn’t suit fine, short hair like mine.

    Great value for a thermal tool and helpful styling accessories

    This is a wonderful styling tool especially if you’re already good at using a regular round brush and can really save you some time when you’re styling your hair.It heats up fast so I can touch up my hair quickly in the morning before work, and the LED display that shows temperature helps me get the right setting for my curly hair (more heat when I’m straightening it for the first time, then less heat the next day for touch ups and to keep my hair looking smooth).The temperature options make this a versatile option for multiple hair types and it can even handle my long, thick, curly hair well. I am always sure to brush it out well first and use a heat protection spray too. When I use this with my tried and true styling products, I get good results. Nice smooth hair without my usual frizz.This is a good thermal round brush brush at a good price and it’s super easy to use.

    It has been many years since I could have used an item like this (sigh).So, I picked it up for my wife and daughter, and they were excited to put it to use. For background, my daughter has long, straight hair (about halfway down her back); my wife has fairly short, curly hair. And the reviews were mostly very positive – enough so that they say it will become a regular part of their hair routine.My daughter, unfortunately, inherited my thin, fine hair – really difficult to manage, some days. She also gets a lot of frizzies, no matter how hard she tries. She loved how the brush allowed her to deal with the frizzies – she said they smoothed right out. My wife, on the other hand, has always had thick, curly hair. She was also impressed by the way it allowed her to manage her curls – in this case, to smooth her curls, ever so slightly. So, so far, so good.With my daughter’s thinner hair (thin as in the coarseness – not the amount of hair she has), the brush gave her some body and volume. Since my wife doesn’t deal with this issue, she couldn’t really comment.Where my daughter found it lacking was assisting her with creating curls. I am not going to dock it a star for that – my daughter has never found anything that is terribly effective in this area.Overall, they said they felt it was worthy of five stars. The price is reasonable. And while they both said using it to its potential would require a little practice, they felt they would both be using it, going forward.

    Quick & easy salon looks

    Great styling product for half the price of others to get a salon level blowout look in minutes. I followed the directions on this brush exactly, because I’m always concerned about exposing my hair to more heat than necessary as I’m getting older and my hair texture changes. I have relatively thick hair that can be coarse in some areas but overall gets frizzy instead of drying smoothly unless I spend 45-60 minutes on just the drying process. That’s more time than I have patience for, so I’m excited that this thermal brush seems to be the solution.I used it at the 2nd lowest heat setting and it worked like magic without damaging my hair. I made sure my hair was completely dry before using the brush and then just worked it through small sections of hair with one or two swipes through the whole length and then holding it a little longer on the bottom portion to get the waves I was looking for. It’s truly that simple & I am definitely one of the least coordinated hair styling people around…so if I can do it, I feel like anyone can. The round brush has “bristles” that are long enough to hold hair in place, but not so long that they require a lot of pulling to move the hair through. I do like the baby pink shade of the handle and the storage bag and it has a very easy to read temperature display and two simple buttons to turn the unit on/off and adjust the temperature easily. I appreciate how those bottoms are placed on the handle of the brush where they will not be activated while working with the brush in the hair because they are below where my hand holds the wand. I’ve had other straighteners that didn’t take that into account and were more difficult to use without changing your settings by accident. I had no issues with that here. Additionally, they added a generous sized heat proof cap on top of the brush, so when using it you can touch that for extra control without being concerned about burning your fingers.The brush and accessories arrive in a nice box that creates a notable presention. Inside you find the Thermal Brush, 2 hair clips to help with styling, a heat protection glove so you don’t burn your fingers while trying to guide your hair into position (full disclosure, I did not use the glove & I did manage to get a little burn while working a shorter length section onto the brush-lesson learned there), and a nice pink bag for storage of the product when not being used or for travel.
