Soft, silky hair
I have straight, thick hair. I use a demi permanent color on my hair about every 6-8 weeks. Overall my hair is in pretty good shape. The summer sun does take its toll, and I am always looking for a conditioner that will really soften my hair without weighing it down. I have been very impressed with this conditioner. I left it on for the two minutes, and I could feel the difference in my hair from the first use. I was able to comb my hair out easily. My hair felt conditioned without feeling greasy or heavy. I styled my hair as usual, and it held its shape nicely throughout they day. I have been very happy with this conditioner.

does not work in seconds; have to leave on for 2 minutes
This is a review of Fast Acting Silk Wash Out ConditionerBrand: Instant Control Well, the tube for this Fast Acting Conditioner is very misleading. In large print, it says it works in seconds. That sort of sounded like it would work in maybe 5 or 10 or 15 seconds. . . . I thought this conditioner would really speed up my showering. But the directions on the back tell you to leave the product on for 2 minutes! I guess we could say this is seconds — 120 seconds. With that sort of thinking any amount of time would allow for “works in seconds.” 20 minutes, an hour, 3 days, a month, all of these are made up of seconds! The ingredients in this conditioner are common to many hair conditioners and are chosen because they hold moisture; for example, cetearyl alcohol, dimethicone, glycerin, and propylene glycol are all among the first ingredients in the list (and therefore, constitute most of the product). Dimethicone can cause buildup on hair, so regular use of the product may mean you need to a vinegar rinse or a clarifying shampoo sometimes. So, I followed the instructions and left the conditioner on for at least 2 minutes. But when I put the conditioner on, I divided my hair and put this Fast Acting product on one half and my regular conditioner on the other half. After my hair was dry, I asked my partner to look at the shine and frizziness of my hair. He thought that the Fasting Acting side was very slightly more shiny and less frizzy. When I asked if the shine and smoothness warranted paying a lot for the conditioner. Nope, there wasn’t that much difference. But this conditioner is very affordable (about $9 when I ordered). It has a nice feel, though it is a bit thick and harder to spread and cover all my hair. Though this conditioner made my hair slightly more shiny and smooth, I’m not sure that slight amount is worth putting dimethicone and petroleum-derived products on my hair.

Very nice conditioner
This 6.6-ounce tube of Fast Acting Silk Wash Out Conditioner by Instant Control was a welcome addition to my shower routine. I don’t have a matching shampoo for it, so I use a shampoo for which I don’t have a matching conditioner.I like the fragrance while I’m using it, though it doesn’t linger on my hair once it’s dry. Although the label calls it Fast Acting, the directions say to leave it on for two minutes. That works for me, because it gives me time to get the rest of my showering completed before I rinse it all out.My hair is dry and fine, and this conditioner is very nice. My hair seems smoother and shinier on the days I use it.

Okay conditioner, nothing special
My wife writes …I have used this conditioner over the past couple of weeks. During this time I have not noticed any real difference between the results with this conditioner and my regular conditioner. The conditioner is really thick but spreads through hair easily. As per the directions, I used a comb when using it and left it in my hair for at least 2 minutes before rinsing it out. Silk Wash Out conditioner is an okay conditioner, but more expensive than conditioners I normally use. I don’t feel this conditioner is worth the higher cost to make a change to continue to use it.It is recommended on the conditioner’s tube to use it with their bi-weekly shampoo for best results. I didn’t use the Instant Control shampoo and can’t say if that makes a difference in how the conditioner works.One pro I can say about the conditioner is the direction to use a comb when applying it. That worked well to get tangles out with the conditioner in the hair and not waiting until later. I don’t know why I didn’t realize this a long time ago.Four stars.

Silk Conditioner
It’s more of a hair mask than a conditioner, but I use hair masks regularly so that worked well. It’s on the thicker side and stays in my hair without running after I put it on. It’s also very easy to spread in my hair. I leave it on for more than two minutes, since I do my hair first then wash and shave my legs and rinse my hair when I’m done. It left my hair soft and manageable, without added weight and did not make it oily on the second day. The only thing I’d change is the scent, it’s got more of a generic hair product scent to it, wish it was more fruity or gourmand or something.

Good at Conditioning
I found this creamy conditioner to be good at conditioning, not so much at detangling.When I first put it on my wet hair, the smell was a bit overpowering. Not exactly in a good way, but those sorts of things are subjective and it might be a fragrance that you actually like. Later in the day I couldn’t smell it on my hair.Anyway, as I stood there in the shower it made my hair feel slick which made me hopeful that a comb would glide through it after it was rinsed out. That wasn’t really the case, although my hair did feel nicely conditioned and soft.The price is in line with similar products.
