Two minutes on the hotter setting smooths it flat and glossy again. The teenagers prefer the gentler airflow to shape loose waves, and the four-year-olds sit contentedly thanks to the low, steady hum. Works well, but….

UPDATE: After receiving this dryer, I realized the model I got was not the same design I was expecting based on the photos and details. The unit I received is a basic white dryer branded Casavok, without a screen, filter, or any of the additional features pictured. It is a much cheaper design that didn’t match what I thought I was purchasing, and it doesn’t have the functions I was expecting. Because of that, I wouldn’t recommend it.Right out of the box, I could tell this hair dryer was on the cheaper side. It’s made entirely of plastic, and it actually feels heavier than similar style dryers, but the weight is mostly in the head, so it’s definitely top-heavy. The attachments are also just basic, lightweight plastic. Honestly, that was expected at this price point, so it didn’t surprise me. I’m not totally sure about the attachments, though. The concentrator is very wide, and the other piece seems like it’s supposed to be a diffuser, but it doesn’t really look or function like a typical one. Now… the power on this thing is wild. It blew me away, literally. It’s like holding a tiny jet engine in your hand. For being so inexpensive, it has serious airflow. It’s not super quiet, but it’s not as loud as a standard hair dryer either (I could also just not remember how loud a standard hairdryer is either), somewhere in the middle but leaning a tiny bit quieter. Basically its louder than the new style similar hair dyers, but not so loud you cant have a conversation with it on.It has four settings:• Low heat• High heat• Cold air• Circulating mode (rotates between low, hot, and cold)The speed also changes depending on the heat setting, and the cold and hot settings are the strongest. The inside of the dryer head even lights up when it’s on, which is a fun touch. Performance wise, I’m honestly shocked at how good it is for the price. For only $10 (at the time of purchase), you really cannot beat it. Yes, it’s cheap. And yes, it feels cheap. But it absolutely works, and it works way better than I expected. It dries fast, has strong airflow, and does exactly what you need it to do. If you’re looking for a basic, affordable hair dryer that still packs a punch, this one is a surprisingly great option. I’d recommend it.
