Cooling IPL that makes at-home sessions easy to stick with

I have used this for 9 days and I am impressed by how comfortable the sessions feel. I started at Level 1 to test my skin, then moved up as I got used to the flashes. The cooling head is the star here. It calms the skin right after each pulse, so I get a quick tingle instead of that hot snap I remember from salon visits. No redness so far.The shape is light and easy to hold, and the controls are simple. The flash window covers long lines on calves and thighs, but it is still easy to target smaller spots like underarms and upper lip. I also like that the sensor will not fire unless it is on skin. That gives me peace of mind when I am moving around joints and ankles.Results are not instant. After 9 days I am seeing slower regrowth in patches, not total clearance. That is normal for IPL, but it means you need consistency to get the payoff. On balance, the comfort, the cooling, and the straightforward setup make it easy to stay on schedule. For the cost, it feels like strong value compared with booking treatments. I am sticking with a weekly plan and expect the thinning to keep building over the next few weeks.

Thins hair and slows regrowth

I’ve used this a number of times now and it is definitely thinning the hair in those areas – some still grows back but more slowly than in areas where I haven’t used it and there seem to be far fewer active hair follicles in the treated areas. It’s moderately easy to use and I found it only mildly painful on the higher settings and could barely feel it on the lower settings. It’s pretty sturdy (I’ve accidentally tested that by dropping it a couple of times while contorting to get awkward spots on my legs) and looks sleek and is a pretty color, if that matters to you.I haven’t had professional laser hair removal done but my impression is that you can get similar results if you’re willing to spend a lot of time using it. I’m fairly lazy about hair removal, especially in winter, so I haven’t been using it often enough to see really dramatic results, but I have a lot less leg hair than I used to and that’s a win!I’m a wimp about my armpits and am still working up the courage to try it there. 😂 I wish I could also use it on my arms but I have a lot of tattoos on my arms so that’s not an option. I have some tattoos on my legs as well but I can work around those easily enough as long as I’m paying attention.I think it’s a decent little device and fairly priced, so if you have the time and motivation to use it regularly and don’t mind slow progress, give it a try! If you want super efficient fast removal it’s not the right tool for the job, but it also costs a fraction of what that sort of treatment costs and you can do it at home while watching a movie which is a definite plus.

Easy to use, but admittedly, no visible results yet by week 5 for this thick haired girly

So the silvery grey part at the end of this device really is cooling to the touch, I’m not sure what kind of magic they’re doing to make it so, but it feels ice cold against your skin, especially if you move that part over the bit of skin that just got zapped. The included razor feels particularly flimsy and I admit to not using it since I have much nicer razors that I trust more for using on my underarms, but it’s a nice thought for them to have included a starter razor for anyone who might not have one on hand. The glasses are also not super nice, but they don’t need to be since you just need to protect your eyes for the brief amount of time you’re using the IPL device, you’re not wearing them outside or anything.I’m now starting week 5 of using this IPL device on my underarms and am now at the highest strength level. I started with level 1 on my first week and have been working my way up, one level a week just to make sure I didn’t have a poor reaction. Obviously everyone’s experience may be a little different, but at least for me, this didn’t even start to feel warm with each zap until level 3, and it was very very light. Right now level 5 still just barely feels warm and I haven’t experienced any pain so far. I do occasionally see some little white-head-pimple like bumps, but I’m honesty not sure if this is from the IPL process or just from having to shave so often before each IPL session.Hopefully it’ll be adjusted by the time you’re reading this review, but at least right now there’s a bit of difference between the number of suggested uses per week between the manual and the online listing, but I’ve gone with the schedule outlined in the manual. So far I haven’t seen any decrease in either the amount or thickness of hair growing back nor is it growing back any slower. Because of this and the manual (more on that in a second), I’ve knocked a star off my rating since it was highly advertised that there should be visible difference within 3 weeks. I’ll still keep this up because I really want this to work on my underarm hair and I know that my hair is quite thick in my underarms, but so far, there’s been no change at all by week 5.This device is pretty easy to use, although the buttons are a little wonky and I found it odd how long it takes for the device to power off (see my attached video). It doesn’t feel the most durable, but that’s somewhat expected for a low cost device. I do wish that the user manual was written a little more clearly; I’ve attached a couple pictures of some of the pages as examples. Maybe it’s just me that finds them confusing in places.

This IPL hair removal device is a promising and user-friendly tool for at-home hair removal! The overall look of the device is sleek and modern, and the quality feels very durable and well-made. I’m especially impressed with the comfort level—it is almost completely painless, and the ice cooling feature really does help a lot to keep the skin comfortable during treatment. It is also very, very easy to use, with simple controls for the 5 levels and 2 modes. While I haven’t been able to truly measure it’s effectiveness yet, I know this is a process that takes time to show permanent results, and I find the initial results promising enough to definitely keep using. Considering the professional features like the cooling system, I think this is a great value for the money compared to salon treatments.
