    Makes noise, doesn’t work

    The Good:* I guess the fact that it’s rechargeable…I guessThe Meh:* Keep readingThe Bad:* It doesn’t work. Yes, it charges and it powers on and it makes noise, but it doesn’t do anything.* The slots for the hair are way too short, meaning they can’t allow the hair to get down to where the blades are ostensibly spinning* Even if the slots were long enough to reach the blade, they are too narrow for at least my nose hair to get into* The charging cable…c’mon, it’s 2026. No more micro-USB, PLEASE!* The price ($9.99 at time of review) is too much for something that doesn’t do what it’s supposed to doThe Verdict:Do not buy. Not even worth $1. On top of everything, though, this would get 1-star even if it did work like it should, because nobody, and I mean absolutely nobody should be using micro-USB in 2026. That alone will get you a 1-star, full stop.

    Easy to use and gets the job done!

    I purchased the yellow IWR rechargeable nose hair trimmer and have been very happy with it. It is lightweight, comfortable to hold, and does a great job trimming both nose and ear hair without any pulling or discomfort.I like that it is rechargeable, so there is no need to keep buying batteries. The stainless steel blade seems sharp and effective, and the included cleaning brush makes it easy to keep clean after use. The removable blade is also a nice feature.The trimmer is compact enough for travel but powerful enough for regular use. For the price, I think it offers excellent value and works just as well as more expensive trimmers I’ve owned. Overall, this is a simple, effective grooming tool that gets the job done.

    This nose hair trimmer is a great little grooming tool! It’s easy to use, rechargeable, and works quickly and efficiently.     not great nose hair trimmer

    I am not a big fan of rechargeable products like this, for the very reason that everything has a charger cable that will get lost, and I’m always having to charge something up. I also don’t like when I’m given a charger that I then have to go find an adapter or I can’t use it. Basically, I’ve gotten a product that I am unable to use unless I purchase an additional product. Since a mini-to-wall adapter costs about as much as this trimmer, the trimmer effectively costs twice as much, so I would expect it to work really well.As far as the trimmer itself, it didn’t work well. My son gave it a try, and after a very short time got frustrated that it wasn’t really doing anything. I’m not sure why.The good thing about it, it’s a cute color, which would likely make it easy to find amidst other bathroom items.

    I ordered the IWR Nose Hair Trimmer hoping that it would be an upgrade of a similar, but only AA battery-powered, nose/ear hair trimmer that I’ve used and relied on for countless years. Of course, the IWR Nose Hair Trimmer is rechargeable and a striking, clean, easy to spot, vivid yellow – an interesting and attractive color choice.Oddly, the IWR Nose Hair Trimmer is charged using a Micro USB connector. Yes, you read that right. It does not use the modern, standard USB-C connector/cable but rather a relic from years past, many of which you might have thrown away as obsolete from old devices. Why, I have to ask, did they opt for such a dated technology? While it does come with an appropriate micro USB cable, relying on it will reduce charging flexibility for users who have standardized on USB-C cables around their homes for their charging needs. That will cost my rating for the trimmer 1 star.On the one hand, we have a graphic in the IWR Nose Hair Trimmer’s Amazon product page claiming “6 Months Daily Use” for its “Long Cycle Life Durable Battery”. On the other hand, on the same Amazon product page, in the text of the Product Details, we have “One hour of charging supports 2 minutes of continuous use each time, with a standby time of up to 2–3 months”. I suspect the second, less ambitious claim, to be more realistic.Kind of as a test of its battery capacity for the 1 week I’ve had it, I’ve used the IWR Nose Hair Trimmer a bit more frequently than I normally would by using it daily. While I don’t run it for a full 2 minutes each day (that would be crazy), it has powered through the week, at least, without any apparent loss of battery power. Using it as I normally would (perhaps weekly), I can see its battery holding up months between charges, which would be fine. Besides, it’ll save the cost and waste of the disposable batteries my old nose hair trimmer feeds upon.Sound/noise: The buzz that the IWR Nose Hair Trimmer makes while it’s running is comparable to my old trimmer’s sound/noise, and that’s mild and acceptable.Most importantly, I find that the IWR Nose Hair Trimmer does deliver on its core, grooming mission.

    Works Fine for Quick Touch-Ups but Battery Runtime Feels Limited

    I gave this nose hair trimmer a try mainly because I wanted something small for travel and quick grooming before work. The yellow color makes it easy to find in my drawer and it feels lightweight in hand.The trimming itself was smooth for nose hair and a little eyebrow cleanup. I did not feel pulling or discomfort which was good. The detachable head also makes cleaning easier after use.My main reason for giving 2 stars is the battery performance description was a little confusing for me. After charging, it works for short sessions but I expected longer continuous use. It is okay for quick touch-ups but I would have liked more runtime and a stronger overall feel.It works for basic grooming but it did not fully meet my expectations for everyday use.
