Not for dry skin
These are definitely on the high end side of disposable dermplane devices. The blades are really sharp and the handles are easy to hold at an angle to really get right up against my skin. The instructions in the listing say to use on dry skin (which I prefer) but obviously that doesn’t really work with the aloe strip. With these particular devices I think they definitely work better on damp skin, and the aloe strip works a lot like a traditional razor to kind of leave behind a thin, soothing film. It’s a little sticky but the feeling goes away quickly, or you could wipe it with a wet washcloth when you’re done.

Facial Skin Looks Smooth
I was tired of seeing peach fuzz on my face especially when in natural light and a friend told me about dermaplaning instead of using a razor to shave peach fuzz. I thought it made sense to try it so I ordered a 3 pack of a Dermaplaner with an Ultra Precision Blade for Facial Hair Removal and Exfoliation from the JAPONESQUE Store.The Japanese micro-shield blade technology protects delicate facial skin and prevents irritation. Infused with Aloe, this single blade is made of high quality stainless steel. I have found that it does a good job of removing my peach fuzz and dead skin build up. Dermaplaning enhances the absorption of serums and moisterizers. Helps my foundation go on more evenly, giving my skin a smoother look. Here are some tips I have for you: Dermaplaning is recommended to be done on dry, clean skin. I tend to do my own dermaplaning first thing in AM prior to washing my face. Washing, showering or exercising prior can open up the pores and cause sensitivity or the blade catching skin during dermaplaning. I really like the JAPONESQUE brand of dermaplaner and recommend it with five big stars.

Great, though I didn’t get much benefit from the aloe strip
I have been using the version of this dermaplaner without the aloe strips for years and love them. Japonesque is fully worth the extra cost over cheaper dermaplaners. My skin is sometimes a little sensitive, so I was interested to see if that would be remedied with the aloe strips, but honestly I did not notice much of a difference.I tried this both dry (how I normally use the ones without aloe) and with water. I did not like the results with water at all, but when I did it dry I didn’t really feel like the aloe strip was doing anything. So overall, I would not pick these up OVER the standard dermaplaners, however I think they are fairly interchangeable, and I would still recommend them both over other brands.My rating scale:1 star: Horrible product. If I had paid for this, I would be upset.2 stars: Pretty bad but not quite horrible. I would not reorder.3 stars: Just ok. It could have been better, but it also could have been worse.4 stars: Good! A solid product that met my expectations.*****5 stars: Very good and/or a great value! I would definitely reorder.*****

This 3 pack of dermaplaners are exactly what I’ve been needing. Other brands that I’ve bought have sharp ends that cut on the curves on my face leaving scratches. These are much smoother and shave closer. I am perimenopausal and take hormone replacements which has caused more facial hair than I would like. The dermaplaner along with JoJoba oil that I also purchased on Amazon have been a life saver! The oil helps with preventing skin irritation as well provides my dry face with moisture throughout the day. The only place I don’t use the blade is around my lips but that’s a personal preference.

Weird Aloe-Strip placement?
My oldest daughter was feeling self-conscious about having a uni-brow, but was nervous about wax and plucking. I thought this would be ideal for trimming up those hairs.There aren’t really instructions provided, but I did a search on how to shape eyebrows for the first time, and she was more trustful of this slim little wand than other methods, especially since it has the aloe strip. She was able to carefully remove the distressing hairs. The small serrated blade worked great, with no discomfort, and seemed to exfoliate. Not sure the aloe strip was anything but a placebo, as it didn’t seem to be in the right position to be effective. At about $13 (or over $4 each) these seem a bit pricey for what they are, since the aloe doesn’t do much extra.This pack comes with three blades, which should last awhile as long as they are kept clean/dry. They are compact and would be perfect to keep in a beauty bag for easy fixes — I actually used it to remove a pesky hangnail, so I’m sure there are many uses I haven’t realized yet. I wish I had similar products when I was a teen, I will be keeping one for myself, but will probably try a different brand in the future.

Works great! These face razors are everywhere but I hadn’t seen any with the soothing aloe strip so had to give them a try. The aloe strip didn’t make a huge difference for me but the razors still work great. Pro tip: use a dermaplaning serum before you shave to help the razor glide smoothly across your skin. Makes a big difference on sensitive skin!!
