    The hair dryer functions well as far as creating great hair volume and shiny soft hair. The button location is absolutely a nightmare. It is completely opposite of every blow dryer I’ve ever owned. I actually set this up for return as it would shut off every time I blow dried my hair…but I missed the deadline for return so am stuck with it.

    Not all that jazzed

    Was disappointed that it seems to overheat and shut off a lot… Then you have to wait a few minutes before it will even turn back on. It’s also very heavy. It is powerful when it does work though, and the heat gets pretty hot, but not all that impressed with it. I have had it for a few months now and unfortunately have just went back to using my old baby bliss.

    A Very Good Hair Dryer

    I bought this hair dryer in August 2016 (about 11 months ago). After having one [insert typical brand found at a department store here] hair dryer after another die after a few months’ use, I decided I would aim for a little higher quality. I hopped on Amazon and looked for hair dryers getting good reviews–without costing TOO much–and landed on this one. That was the sum total of my research.A note about usage: my wife and I share a hair dryer. She has shoulder-length, thick hair. I also have thick hair, but mine is only ear-length–typical middle-aged-man-with-full-head-of-hair-length. This hair dryer gets used twice every day.UNABLE TO COMPLETELY REVIEW:– We haven’t yet reached a year, so maybe it will poop out. But at this point this Berta is holding up better than several prior [pick a mass-market brand] hair dryers.NEGATIVE REVIEW:– The only downer was the buttons, and that was only a small downer. I found that I often accidentally turned the thing off, because of the placement of the buttons. But I have gotten used to it, and that’s no longer a problem.POSITIVE REVIEW:– This hair dryer comes with a one-year replacement warranty, and an additional year of non-replacement warranty beyond that, which is very good for this type of consumer product.– Ergonomically it’s fine. Nothing really sets it apart from other hair dryers. But that’s because they’ve all found what works.– Air flow is really good. Today my wife and I needed a hair dryer at the same time, which is rare. She won. So I found my daughter’s [big brand] hair dryer and plugged it in and turned it on. Weak! The air flow was weak. The Berta has MUCH BETTER air flow. As I was using my daughter’s, I was surprised at how much I wanted to be using the Berta instead.– Heat is good. I saw a complaint from another reviewer that this hair dryer is 1875 watts and not 2200 watts. There’s no reason to complain. You reach a point where additional heat does almost nothing to dry your hair faster, and can damage your hair. When combined with good air flow, warm air will dry your hair just about as fast as hot, hot air. So 1875 is plenty.– My hair typically goes from out-of-the-shower-just-toweled to dry in about 2 minutes, which is faster than with previous hair dryers.FINAL:I recommend this hair dryer as a very good one.October 9, 2021 Update:This hair dryer is STILL GOING. My wife is now using a different kind of contraption to dry her hair (like a round brush and hair dryer in one), so the Berta is no longer being used twice a day. None the less, it’s still working, and the performance has not dropped off.Hats off to Berta for offering such a solid product. I don’t know whether they’re still making them this good–hopefully they are–but this one has performed and lasted beyond expectation.

    Dries my hair faster than any other professional dryer I have tried

    I tend to air dry my hair because I have a lot of it and it takes a very long time to try. I always purchase professional hair dryers, but even the extra quality and cost has not made it easy to dry my hair. I spotted this Berta hair dryer as a Prime Day deal and saw several reviews about how much faster this hair dryer dried their hair. I got this yesterday and tried it for the very first time this morning. This dryer was much quieter than the one I have, it works better and it felt like I used much less heat on my hair than I did with my last dryer.

    Fire Works Display for Under $40

    Had this dryer for barely over a year now. It worked completely fine up until yesterday. Here I am blowing out my hair when all of the sudden flames and sparks start shooting out of it!!!!! It was like the fourth of July in my bathroom! Of course I had it pointed at the back of my head so it singed the crap out of my hair on the back of my head. The sparks not only burned my hair, but my hand towel and floor mat as well. And if anyone’s thinking the back filter on the unit was probably clogged with lint – you’re wrong. I always keep that cleaned and lint free. I strongly do not recommend purchasing this as it’s a freaking FIRE HAZARD!!!!

    Best hair dryer I’ve ever owned

    The cool function is awesome, there’s also a cool shot button for finishing up a design or reducing frizz. It’s easy to clean the dust from the filter and I’ve only had to clean it once in almost the 2 years I’ve owned it. Granted I didn’t use it every day but I’ve started to use it more often since getting the hang of how to dry & style my hair at the same time
