No onion smell
I’ve heard a lot about onion being good for your hair, but because I always thought it would smell bad, I never attempted to use it. When I saw this oil was combined with rosemary oil and many other great oils, I just had to try it.The bottle is a little small, I have long hair and need to use quite a bit if I want to it on my roots to my ends, and my daughter who also likes to do oils treatments has very long hair, so this oil may get done quick. There is no onion scent whatsoever, you can smell mainly the rosemary. The oil is a good consistency and doesn’t drip all over the place, it massages well into the hair and washes out with a single shampooing. I left in my hair for a few hours and had no irritation or negative effects. My hair felt soft and manageable, will definitely continue to use this oil and looking forward to seeing thicker filler hair with less hair fall.

Best relief for itching scalp from sulfate products
When my mother goes to the beauty shop, the products they use on her hair cause her scalp to itch and break out terribly because they contain sulfates. I switched mother to Nutritive products because they have no sulfates and are much less expensive than the $40 for a tiny bottle of the medicated shampoo the dermatologist ordered. Now, when mother goes for a cut, she takes her Nutritive shampoo, conditioner, and this scalp treatment for the sores that erupted after the sulfate shampoo and conditioner.Granted, the name of this product is a little discouraging. Yes, there is a little wiff of onion and rosemary as you apply the oil, but it could smell like skunkweed because IT WORKS! The blisters on my mother’s scalp, which she worries with constantly, won’t reform after I apply this oil. And each time I see her scratching, I go get this oil, then she gets instant relief. The itching episodes have become less frequent and now we take the Nutritive products to her hairstylist so we don’t have any more expensive trips to the dermatologist.Highly recommend.

I’ll reserve my judgment of whether this oil lives up to the first part of it’s name for later. For now I’ll confirm that yes, it does feel good on the scalp. I have a different scalp massaging oil that has black castor oil as one of it’s main ingredients. That’s great for the sake of conditioning the hair and making my scalp feel better, but the smell is something that lingers on my skin and if I don’t cut the preparation with something else it’s a bit to much weight on my hair. This oil is much lighter on my skin in comparison and the smell while noticeable does actually go away after about an hour. The hair in the area I apply feels softer and looks more shiny as well but still has it’s natural shape and movement, so that is a plus. I feel comfortable using this item every day or every other day, but only on the scalp and first few inches of hair.

Nourishing Hair Oil with a Cooling, Soothing Feel
I really like this formula. My hair has been breaking easily and thinning over the last year. It feels soothing and cool when applied to my scalp. The included dropper makes application easy and controlled, so it is not a messy process at all. Once it is in my hair, I almost forget it’s there. The scent is light, botanical, and pleasant. It does take a little extra time to rinse out compared to a lighter oil, but it rinses well without leaving residue. After washing, my scalp and hair feel well conditioned and hydrated, and my hair overall seems healthier and stronger, not heavy or greasy. Overall, this feels like a thoughtful, comfortable treatment that is easy to work into my routine.

Extremely beneficial for your hair!
I never thought I’d see a hair oil with onion in it but I’m so glad I found this one. I’ve known for awhile now that onion actually supplies oxygen to the hair follicles and rosemary is great for stimulating the production of new hair so this combination was so exciting to me. The smell is like a faint citrus that just gives you an uplifting vibe but not cloying and actually fades away slightly throughout the day. I can actually feel a slight refreshing sensation on my scalp and I know it’s sinking in nicely because there’s no oily residue left on my scalp or weighing down of my fine hair. I actually have more volume in my hair which is surprising and I did not expect this. I’ve noticed a significant amount of less shedding which is great since I’ve had so much hair fallout lately. This oil has helped tremendously. It says that it’s silicone free and I love this since silicones actually clog pores like dimethicones and cause products to not absorb and aren’t exactly healthy for the hair or skin unless you’re looking for something that’s gonna just sit on top of your skin and it’s meant to not absorb like certain makeup primers for example to cover pores, etc.. A hair oil that needs to absorb fully in order to work, this is great that it’s silicone free. I love the dropper which makes it easy to apply but if you want to get as many uses out of it as possible I suggest adding a few drops under your hands near your fingers and just gently rub throughout your hair which is what I do and this oil will last me a good few months if not a lot longer. The price is very reasonable and I love what it’s been doing for my hair so far.

Lovely rosemary scent in this rosemary and onion hair regrowth oil.
I have thinning areas on my temples that I am hoping to regrow hair by rotating between these three hair treatments.This one has rosemary and onion as active ingredients, but thankfully, only smells of rosemary. It feels like traditional oil should, and actually smells quite nice, compared to the artificial fragrances used in the other 2 treatments I have in rotation.It arrived in a glass bottle, with a glass dropper, but I just cover the opening of the bottle with one finger, tip it over and tip back, to just coat the pad of my finger with enough to tap onto my temples. It may be less sanitary, but also appears less messy, because I’m not managing the drips running down the outside of the dropper, while monitoring the amount on the inside as well. I’m the only one using it, so it shouldn’t be an issue for a single user.This is my favorite of the 3, solely due to the pleasant rosemary scent, but if I notice any hair regrowth, I will update this review.

Great oil, just wish the bottle was bigger!
I’ve really been enjoying this hair oil! It isn’t super thick or heavy like castor oil, but I also wouldn’t call it an everyday oil since it can make your hair feel greasy if used too often. I usually massage a small amount directly into my scalp every few days (the dropper makes application so easy!) & smooth a little on my ends after applying leave-in to seal in moisture.The scent is great, kind of an earthy citrus smell 🍋🌿 & it lingers lightly in the hair without being overpowering. & It doesn’t smell like onions at all! I love the ingredient list too, lots of natural ingredients & no weird chemicals, which is always a plus.My only con is the price for the amount you get. I received this in October & by December I was basically at the end of the bottle, so it lasted me about 2 months with regular use. I have long, dense, curly hair that I usually wear straight, & I especially love using this on wash days during my hot oil treatments. Because of my hair type, I went through it pretty quickly. Someone with shorter or finer hair might get more use out of it. When my hair is straight, it does last longer since I’m using less product so it doesn’t weigh my hair down.At $26 every couple of months, it does start to add up. If the bottle were bigger, the price would be totally worth it because I genuinely love how the oil feels & performs. Overall, I still recommend it, just wish you got more product for the price. ✨
