    Amazing texture and hold

    As a woman, I absolutely love this sea salt spray! I have long hair that’s a little wavy when I wake up in the mornings. I usually just throw it up in a messy bun unless I have time to style it, since the waves are a bit on the unkempt side and not very polished. This morning, I woke up, and decided to try this spray. It has a masculine scent, like cologne, that’s a bit strong but I kind of like it, so I spritzed it all over my dry hair and gave it a good tousle as instructed. The spray gave my hair this wonderful volume and texture, making it look like I’ve spent the morning at the beach! It’s been 6 hours since I’ve had it in and still no volume lost. The hold is simply spectacular, I can’t believe how amazing my hair looks! Most definitely a fan.

    Hold and texture together!

    I love a good salt spray, so I didn’t let the ‘for men’ marketing dissuade me from trying this product- thankfully, because this stuff is pretty awesome! I have very long, thick hair (fine strands) so all the weight makes my hair super flat. This helps a TON!I’ve used this in different ways-When I put this directly on my washed, wet and towel dried hair (close to the root/scalp) then blowdry- OMG! The volume is insane! It gives me so much lift that actually stays for the entire day. I can do some cute styles too, especially on 1-2 day old hair because the texture is there, but it isn’t gritty at all.When I spray this on my lengths on the wet hair and diffuse- it’s perfectly tousled beach hair all day! It’s not crispy and my hair still has great movement, but the waves are an absolute dream.I also use this on dry hair (usually not on wash day) and it gives nice texture, lift and volume without being too crispy and again, no grittiness. This helps me do some cute styles that hold well. It tames all fly aways and really helps with frizz too.This is a MUST for sleek, slicked back ponys or buns! It holds in every piece of hair and keeps it there well, without making my head feel like it is coated in resin.I really enjoy the scent of this spray. It is on the masculine side, but it is very clean and not overwhelming, so I don’t mind at all. It DEFINITELY smells better than 70% of the hairsprays I have.As with many texture products, this does require a bit more energy on wash day. Perhaps a double or co-wash even. It does come out though.The only complaint I have isn’t even about the formula, but the spray nozzle- it’s not that great. Instead of broadcasting a fine, wide mist, the product comes out in a tight stream. I washed the nozzle to make sure it wasn’t plugged, but it didn’t help. I transferred the formula into a different bottle and everything is perfect!This is an awesome product that, as long as you don’t mind the scent, is great for women too!

    Salty hairspray

    So, I have to say for starters…this made my hair look good enough for my husband to compliment my “beachy waves”. So it has that going for it. It gives body and hold. Which is great!But the scent is so strong and obnoxious to me. Like the really cheap hairspray in the 90’s, the ones in the spray bottles. The alcohol scent mixed with a fragrance that overwhelms and lingers for hours.It’s good at what it does. But the scent makes me not want to use it.It didn’t leave any residue. I spray it into my hands and work through my hair. So maybe spraying directly would have a different outcome. I liked how I use it.It’s unfortunate for that scent because this would have easily been a 4 or 5 star product.

    sticky and awful

    I absolutely hate this product. I’ve tried sea salt sprays in the past and they usually give me a nice light hold and create the soft but well defined waves that I love. This is absolutely nothing like that. I tried this right before I went to meet up with friends and I have deep regret and a powerful loathing for this product and what it did to my hair. It’s like spraying glue on your hair. Some got on my hand it was so sticky and awful feeling. My hair turned into a rat’s nest that was almost uncombable. I had to just put it in a crunchy ponytail and hope that no one noticed. I would never use this again and I can’t get it away from me quickly enough.

    Strong Scent, Good Hold

    I use hairspray mainly to tame the flyaways and baby hairs that can make a ‘do look unfinished. This sea salt spray does a good job of holding those back. The spray pumps out with a slight bit of difficulty- I had a bit of trouble trying to get it to spray lightly and evenly. It has a strong scent that I wouldn’t necessarily classify as masculine…but I do tend to gravitate away from floral, feminine scents, so take that with a grain of salt. Finally, I’m not sure if it was user error or what, but one time when I sprayed this I think I may have sprayed too much. This resulted in a very very strong hold that wound up breaking some of my hairs when I tried to comb it out. Anyway. It’s a decent product, and although I couldn’t achieve beach waves with it, it kept the flyaways slicked back for an all day hold.

    It does what it is advertised to do

    I’m a female, and I went ahead and tried this product for myself. I can see why it is advertised for men – because it has a strong hold and has the power to hold short hairstyles in place. Still, women can have short hair and/or just simply need a strong hold hairspray, so really this product is for anyone.I used it to hold my stubborn bangs in position and it held well as expected. It did leave a stiff texture behind, so I preferred combing through my sprayed hair a bit to loosen it. I also used the product on my entire hair after using hot tools on it, and it also worked well. I like that it comes in a plastic pump spray bottle since once in a while a pressurized metal hair spray can give you issues.

    The product itself was alright. Did provide moderate hold but was not long lasting. Provided Volume for a fair amount of time (2-3 hours). I work a fast paced job so it was tested daily. No shine with my hair, which I what I wanted. Fair amount of stickiness with product. Did not weight down my hair as much as I expected.
