This review is for the “KOOBA 6-in-1 Magnetic Beard Trimmer for Men with Charging Base.”This kit includes a nice variety of trimming heads for grooming different areas of the body. The heads are extremely easy to swap, and the magnetic attachment system is one of my favorite features. I have limited space around my bathroom sink, and this trimmer has earned a permanent spot because everything stays organized on the charging base.The shaver/trimmer combination head gets the most use. I use it on my chest, underarms, and other hard-to-reach areas. I also use the body hair trimmer on my arms and legs when I want to keep the hair trimmed without shaving it too close. It does not cut as closely as the standard trimmer head or the wider trimmer head with guards, but the key point is that it does not clog and need to be cleaned at all. The standard and wide trimmer heads work well for beard and head hair, although they tend to clog fairly quickly when trimming body hair on my arms or legs.The nose hair trimmer and the detail trimmer both perform as expected. If I could change one thing, I would replace the detail trimmer or the standard trimmer head with an eyebrow trimmer that includes a fixed-length guard. The standard trimmer head and the wider trimmer head are somewhat redundant since they seem to serve the same purpose.Another thing I absolutely love about this trimmer is the charging port. It is a standard USB-C type, not some lame proprietary connector and wall charger that you have to keep track of. In the future I will never purchase another shaver or trimmer that does not use a standard charging connector.Overall, I recommend this trimmer and have found myself using it more often than my Philips Multigroom 5000 for random body hair grooming. That said, I still prefer the Philips for specifically for beard trimming because its blade and fixed 2mm guard provide a smoother, more even result for me.

I’ve struggled with my rating on this trimmer kit because there are multiple components that all need their own evaluation.The first thing that needs to be addressed is the charging adapter. It’s a USB. Not all United States houses are being built standardized with USB outlets, especially inside the bathrooms. That’s easily resolved with a USB block plug, so that’s fine, just a minor inconvenience. This could also be deliberate by design to ensure it’s charged prior to being left in the bathroom so it’s not constantly plugged into an outlet to charge and therefore taking up outlet space.So my next issue was with the size and shape of the base. It’s not immediately noticeable as a design flaw, but once I considered placing it out of sight and into the bathroom medicine cabinet, it was too deep (or girthy/wide) to fit in a standard recessed bathroom cabinet.Next, the U-Shaped trimmer attachment pulls my husband’s beard hair. That’s like the main reason for buying this kit. It’s the outside edges of the trimmer blades that pull the hairs as he’s shaping his beard.There are some good attachments though that he will continue to use for his nose and ear hair. The speeds maintain consistency without noticeable fluctuations in those delicate areas.We also noticed that the charge holds for a number of days once it reaches 100% and then is unplugged.As I mentioned in the beginning, I did struggle with this rating, but it was between a three and a four, not a two and a three.
