holds up during busy days
I’ve been using this bow clip during long shifts at work, and I wasn’t expecting it to be this reliable. Usually, I wear my hair pulled back to stay out of the way, but most decorative clips aren’t built for long hours or lots of movement. This one actually holds up pretty well.My job involves bending, moving, and being on my feet a lot. The clip stays put and doesn’t loosen up or shift. I’ve used it to secure both a bun and a half-up style, and it managed both without trouble.The rhinestones are small enough that they don’t catch on fabric, which I was worried about. I haven’t had any snags on sweaters or scarves. That’s a relief because I’ve had that happen with other embellished clips before.After several uses, it still looks nice. I haven’t noticed any stones falling out or the bow losing its shape. I do store it in a small cloth pouch so it doesn’t get squished, and that seems to help.

Mollie Black Hair Bow Barrette – So cute!
I am not very proficient at styling my long wavy hair aside from letting it air dry. I thought adding some hair bows into my collection would be an easy, low skill way to spruce up my everyday look. I saw this black sheer bow with rhinestones and thought it was just too cute to pass up! I wear a lot of black so it seamlessly fits in with my wardrobe. It feels really well constructed. The weight of the fabric feels nice and I love the piping detail along with whole bow. There aren’t any frayed seams that I can see. The rhinestones feel like they’re securely on there and won’t budge. The barrette clip has a very strong closure and doesn’t pop open at random. I have worn my hair in a ponytail and clipped this above where the hair tie meets my head and it stayed put all day. Overall, this is such a well made hair bow. It feels like a little luxury.

This is a well made bow. It’s durable. I love the gems around it —it makes the bow pop. I also like that the bow is a sheer black so if you have black hair —given the material and gems— the bow will still look really pretty in your hair instead of being like molded into your hair.I also really like clasp. Because it evenly holds your hair in the clasp instead of holding just one side —like the alligator clasps.This bow reminds me of the beautiful bows my family would buy for me from our motherland Asia in myChildhood when things were just better made back then. This bow is just like one of those well made bows from my childhood

Cute but pricy
This is a delicate, mesh black bow with glued on plastic gems that give it a little extra pop. It’d be good for semi-formal events if you want to add a little flourish without going overboard, and the black color makes it suitable to wear with a variety of items. The barrette portion is large and can hold a full head of medium thick hair, which was nice. I normally struggle with these because I can’t get all of my hair in them, but I was able to just squeeze it into this with a bit of pull that was relieved with a few minor adjustments.It’s too big for most children and if you have thin, straight hair, this might not stay put without teasing or extra assistance from a hair tie. I did like its simplicity, but the current pricepoint of $14 seems a little elevated for the item.

Makes me feel put together and like I’m having a good hair day.
I’m obsessed with this L. Erickson Mollie Black Hair Bow Barrette For Women. I find it hard to wear black bows because you can’t really see them in my dark hair. But this bow is just sheer enough, and with the rhinestones, that it looks classy, and it gives that little bit of extra personality to my hair. I can only wear it when it’s half up though. The French style clip wouldn’t be able to hold all my thick hair. As you can see, I put the rubberband in first, then add the bow (I positioned it slightly off just so you could see in the picture). It is a little pricey at just under $15, but for as much as I like it, it’s worth it.

Pretty, but one bead came off before wearing
The only reason I took off one star is because I had a bead that came off before ever wearing it. You can definitely see from the photo that the bead came off and left markings in the bow fabric. For that reason, I feel the price is a little high for this. Other than that, the bow looks exactly as the picture. The clasp is very sturdy and does hold hair well. It is very pretty, and the gold beads look great contrasted against the black fabric. It would definitely look nice for a formal occasion.
