Very lightweight yet powerful
I love this dryer. I have a license to buy wholesale appliances but even though they are for professional use, this Laigen hair dryer is powerful, lightweight, and the 3 hair cycle temps are great for my personal use. It is very light weight and small which seems to work very much better when styling my hair. The price point makes this dryer a win win for me. The con is the handle isn’t long enough and I often cover the air filter at the bottom which chokes the air to the dryer. I’m thinking about putting a strip of heavy duty tape above the air flow so I know where to place my hand when drying. I would recommend this dryer to anyone wanting a good quality and lightweight hair dryer.

Arrived used, really disappointed
I was super excited to finally get my hands on the Laifen high-speed dryer. My morning routine is usually a struggle with my thick hair, so I was looking for something powerful and lightweight to save time. Unfortunately, when I opened the box, it was clear that I’d been sent a used unit. There were scuffs on the handle and even some dust in the filter. It’s a shame because the design looks great and it feels premium in hand, but I just can’t use something that arrived in this condition when I paid for a new one.

Why did I wait to so long?
I swim laps for exercise and wanted to start swimming before work. Rather than schlepping my big, albeit nice, hairdryer to the pool with me, I wanted a compact travel hairdryer. How in the world did I not switch to a hairdryer like this sooner?! With it being so small and so incredibly lightweight, I have been missing out for years!What I Love:LIGHTWEIGHT – Redundant here, but it is so incredibly lightweight. I am a middle-aged woman and I have started finding that the classic hairdryer just starts to get too heavy after a while. This hair dryer is so lightweight that I have no fatigue in my wrist or shoulder. I have started using it every day and will grab it to stuff in my swim bag on swim days.QUIET – WOW, it is so nice not having it blaring in my ears. My watch would always notify me of loud sound levels while using my old hair dryer. Not with this one!COMPACT – It is such a nice size that putting it in my swim bag is a breeze. It does not take up a lot of space and the storage bag is nice to have.HEAT – Having fine hair, I have to be aware of what heat I expose my hair to—especially with the double whammy of swimming. I love the temperature cycling mode because it won’t stay at the hottest setting for too long—something that I have to be very careful with.POWER – This thing is powerful. The first few times I used it, I I was not aware of just how strong it was. I wound up with my hair in a knotty mess, which is no small feat given how fine my hair is. There is a bit of a learning curve, but I now know how to prevent it from happening again.What I Find to be a Minor Inconvenience:HANDLE – The air intake at the base of the handle took a little getting used to. With the air intake at the bottom of the handle, it is very easy to place your grip around it and kill some of the suction. Having now used it for a few weeks, it has become much more natural for me to hold the dryer a little bit higher on the handle. An old dog can learn new tricks.Overall, this hair dryer is a great purchase and meets my needs more than enough. Because I like it so much, I may buy a second one that will live in my swim bag so I do t have to move it back and forth for every day use.

Ok so just FYI im writing this after only using this hair dryer a few times, but i just had to get something written because it is so perfect for me! I have carpal tunnel so the weight of the dryer i use is important, and omg this is so super light!…and not in a cheap feeling way. Its so small yet so powerful. The concentration nozzle clicks right on and works great. I didnt get this as a travel dryer I got it to use regularly and I absolutely love it. Would be awesome if it had a retractable cord, but i understand with it being so small it would be hard…tho I will say I would rather sacrifice a little bigger size dryer just to have the retractable cord. Anyways I will update once I use it more, or if theres more to say,..I just had to write how impressed I am with this little guy I just love it.

Very powerful airflow. Light in weight compared to my old hair dryer. The multi-colour LCD ring lets you know what temperature mode it is in. The airflow starts and stops instantly which is amazing. The quality of this unit is better than I expected, and I don’t know how it could be any better.
