This heatless curling set does what it says it does. The rod is soft and comfortable enough to wear overnight, and the scrunchies and bonnet are a nice bonus.That said, this works best if you have really long hair. If your hair is shorter or medium length, it may be harder to wrap and get the desired curl. For longer hair, it holds well and creates soft curls without heat.Overall, it’s a solid heatless option—just keep hair length in mind before purchasing.

Heatless Curls Set
Ordered this for my daughter. She works an hour from home and thought this is a great way to do her hair at night and just pull the rod from her hair and fluff in the parking lot at work. Unfortunately, I think her hair is a little too short and heavy for this to work without lots of prep. She didn’t to much prep on it the night before. But she thinks that if she maybe added a little more product and wrapped it a little tighter it might work. But at the price point it is, the bonnet was worth it.

Bad hair type
I have long hair that is fine. But I also happen to have a lot of that fine hair. It is not an unknown to me that this hair type is not the most cooperative. It’s hard to keep in place no matter how much product or pins you use. Knowing this about my hair, I wasn’t placing my hopes and expectations very high. Sadly, I was right. My hair did not want to stay wrapped in this. It felt like it took much longer to get through the process than it should. That’s not my reason for only giving this 3 stars. It’s actually the reason why it isn’t less. The cap is extremely itchy and with how it sits I would guess that they didn’t measure when making it. I can’t say I love or hate it. It just didn’t work for my hair type.

I had never heard of heatless curl sets until I found this set by L’Ange Hair. I’ve been letting my hair grow out, and have been looking for ways to style it. My hair is just an inch or two past my shoulders, and is fairly straight.This set has everything you need to curl your hair. It comes with a long, soft velvet tube to wrap your hair around, a clip to hold the tube in place while wrapping, two “scrunchies” to hold the ends of your hair onto the tube after wrapping, and a satin cap to wear while waiting for the curls to set, or while sleeping. All in a very pretty pink.I read the directions on the box, but since I’m a “visual” learner, I went to view a video and see how this set worked. I had to watch and pause the video a couple of times as I wrapped my hair. I did not have any product to set the curl before wrapping.Once done, I put the cap on and went to bed. The cap felt a little tight on my forehead, and I could feel it leaving indentions on my skin, so I pushed it up off my forehead. It felt better, but may have interfered with the overall wrap.The wrap was not uncomfortable to sleep in, but since it was my first time, every time I turned over, I found myself reaching up to check the wrap. When I got up, I removed the cap, and carefully unwound the wrap. My hair was full of body, but not a lot of curl.I feel that I need more practice, as I obviously did not do a perfect job the first time. I’m going to buy holding product, and practice. It is not difficult to do, but obviously the more times you do the wrap, the better you’ll get.This looks like one of the most complete sets out there, and I know it is well made. I’m 68 years old, so younger women will probably pick this wrap method up a lot easier than I am.

By far my favorite one
Ignore my grays but this is probably one of my favorite hair tools. I got out of the shower and let my hair dry almost completely. I put about a spritz of sea salt spray in each section of my hair and clipped the wrap at the top after evenly dividing it. Comes with a bonnet, hair clip, extra long velvet wrap with extra long tails and 2 ponytail holders. It’s a super soft velvet tube WITH NO WIRE! And that makes all the difference. Wrapped my hair in an upward pattern and tightly all the way down. Secured each side with the provided ponytail holders and cross tied it in the back. Wrapped it in the bonnet and I just left like I had an extra layer of pillow to sleep on. It wasn’t awkward at all. I’ve tried many brands and they literally fell out before I even went to bed. My hair is super thin and fine but also chest length so it’s longer than shoulder length. When I took it off the next morning, I actually unwrapped my hair. It didn’t just fall off. Now I have these amazing beach curls that look so flowy and natural. I think I’m obsessed.
