I’ve used the Handmade Heroes dry shampoos several times and have always been happy with them, so I was excited to try this Rosemary Mint Scalp & Hair Oil. It definitely did not disappoint.I have hip-length hair, so I use this a little differently than a traditional hair oil. I like using it as a pre-wash treatment. I massage it into my scalp and let it sit for about 10–20 minutes before getting in the shower, then shampoo it out. Every so often, I’ll also work a little through my ends to keep them from getting dry and crunchy.The rosemary and mint scent is definitely noticeable when you first open the bottle. It smells fresh, herbal, and very clean without being overly perfume-y. Good oil, smells strong – ok if you love the scent but can be strong for some.
So I have a few products by this brand and I truly appreciate the small business and adorable human touch.The quality of this oil feels good in terms of hair oil goes. I personally really like it but it did not work for my daughter’s finer hair. I have thick asian and and unfortunately have a spot in the back that seems to just grow with breakage. I have been using this on my scalp for that specific spot and the hair growing from it seems like it is working. Personally, I love the rosemary mint scent BUT as someone who generally prefers fragrance-free, it is a bit strong. While I like the scent so it is not an issue for me – my kiddo also did not like the scent.there is a bit of greasiness, but thats expected for most hair oil. It is good I did not feel that it was too heavy for myself but for finer hair, I can see it can be a bit weighted down.Washability seems fine – I did not have to alter my hair washing schedule and yhe new growth seems healthier. It has only been a month, we will see how this survives as the winter approaches.

I’ve used several different products from the Handmade Heroes brand and have loved every single one of them, including this new hair oil. Since entering my middle years, my hair and skin have become extremely dry. I’m down from having to shampoo daily to just once a week because my hair is so dry.This Rosemary Mint Scalp and Hair Oil comes in a clear frosted plastic bottle with a dropper style top. Since 2 or 3 drops is all I need for my shorter hair, this 24ml (0.8oz) bottle seems generously sized and will probably last me for 6 months. The scent is bold and I could smell it before I even opened the bottle. It’s got the distinctive scent of rosemary along with some cool mint, which smells clean and refreshing. The scent is particularly strong in the bottle, but once I warm a couple drops in my hands and work it through my hair, the scent disappears almost completely. It’s a pleasant smell that I find enjoyable.For my dry, thinning blonde and gray hair, it’s been a major improvement in the softness and texture of my hair. I have been using it every night before bed, leaving it on my hair to work its magic while I sleep. Natural ingredients and great hydration for hair and scalp
I love that there is almond oil, castor oil, olive oil, oat oil, and many additional natural ingredients in this super hydrating hair oil. It has an herbal scent from the rosemary, peppermint, eucalyptus, and lavender essential oils.This hair oil can be used in a couple of different ways. If one needs a whole head moisturizer, apply a dropper full of the oil starting at the scalp/roots and working it out to the ends. Leave in for an hour or more, and wash out. I plan to use it this way about once a month. My scalp gets especially dry in the winter and I know this will be a big help.If you want to focus on the ends of your hair, a couple of drops will be enough. I rubbed the drops over my palms and applied the oil to the ends of my hair trying to distribute it evenly. Since this is oil, it does leave an oily residue. When I applied it to the ends of my hair, the oil wasn’t noticeable, but did leave my hair softer. I styled my hair as usual afterwards.This is a great product to try whether you need deep hydration for your scalp and hair, or a little extra moisture at the ends of your hair.
