I have a sensitive nose!If you frequently have trouble with nail polish chipping off easily, or press-ons popping off sooner than a couple weeks, this might be a GAME CHANGER for you!!While alcohol and acetone can also be used to remove oils and moisture, alcohol does not do as good of a job, and acetone is harsher on your nails. This dehydrator should be used after alcohol to fully dehydrate the nail, and before primer. It creates a nail surface that is optimal for even adhesion of glue or primer.Not only does this aide in product adhesion for increased longevity of products on your nail, but it also helps ensure even adhesion of glue, which matters because if there are areas under your press-on nails where glue did not adhere, that can become a breeding ground for fungus to grow beneath your press-ons in the areas.5☆

Much prefer this to an alcohol pad.
When I take the time to do my nails I am sure to do specific steps to make it last. I work with my hands and doing my nails over and over can be a hassle. However, when I take the time to do them properly they last noticeably longer and makes the process worth it. I have now added Louinstic Nail Prep Dehydrator to that process and it is less messy than using an alcohol prep pad.After filing, buffing and taking care of my cuticles I now just brush this dehydrator on all my nails and they are dry in seconds. Before I was rubbing a small alcohol prep pad on each nail taking time to make sure I covered the entire nail. Now it’s a few brush strokes and I’m done with that step. It works really well and at the price at the time of this review is definitely a good value. This bottle will last me a long time and my gel nails don’t chip or peel as quickly because I get full coverage of this dehydrator. No oil or residue is left behind.

Works great and super easy to use
So, I wear press-on or glue-on nails all the time. I was using regular rubbing alcohol on a cotton ball to clean and dehydrate my nails before applying my products. I was not aware that there was such a thing as acid-free nail dehydrator. Boy am I glad I took a chance! This stuff is awesome. It does the job quickly and super easy without damaging my nails. Just brush on a thin coat and they’re dry and ready for product in seconds. I highly recommend this wonderful product.
