Smells like menthol
Well, this Miracle Growth Hair Oil claims to do a lot of things, and of course only time will tell if my hair gets stronger over time.The bottle is a good size, and has a nice twist-up cap to reduce the amount of oil coming out to a few drops at a time. This is a good thing, because it IS oil after all, and it’s a little bit sticky.It smells like the popular stuff mothers used to use to rub on the chests of their children when they had a bad cough. You know the one…V.V.R.Probably because of the menthol (one of the ingredients). The menthol would account for the cooling effect as well.Be aware that this oil will not be washed out with plain water, you will need shampoo, and even then, there will be a light film remaining on your scalp, which I suppose is a good thing if you have dandruff or an irritated scalp.I will keep using it, it’s pretty good.

Good ingredients, thick texture
The applicator allows for easy distribution of the oil. The oil is thick and is somewhat greasy. I would suggest small amounts and then rubbing it throughout the scalp. The smell is light and not too strong. Due to the greasiness I had to wash my scalp sooner than expected. I didn’t know any hair growth but my hair was a bit softer after applying the oil to my roots.

This oil was applied along parts and braids for scalp care. The scent is pleasant, and the cooling effect feels nice at the beginning. However, using a little too much quickly makes the scalp feel greasy. Absorption takes longer than expected, and buildup shows up after a few days. Moisture helps briefly, but results fade fast. It works for light use, but balance and lasting benefits feel average.

This Miracle Growth Hair and Scalp Oil states it is for hair growth, scalp moisturizing, split ends, or dryness and flakiness. It is intended for braids and other natural styles. It doesn’t feel overly oily and smells good, is easy to apply, and gives a nice cooling sensation. The Jojoba oil and the hempseed oil provide moisture and shine. The menthol adds a nice minty scent. This oil may be a good option for thick, coily, porous hair and seems to be a good value for the price.

I’ve really been enjoying this hair oil. Nice scalp feel, strong mint smell…
I have been using this Miracle Growth hair oil mainly on my scalp and around the hairline, and a little on the ends when they feel dry. The bottle is a good size for the price, 3.71 oz lasts a while since you really only need a small amount.First thing you notice is the cooling, it is that peppermint/rosemary type feeling. It is not painful or anything, just tingly, especially if you put it on right after a shower. The scent is strong at first, then it calms down after maybe 20 to 30 minutes. I actually like it, but if you hate minty smells, heads up.It does a good job with dryness. My scalp gets flaky sometimes in winter and this helped more than the random “hair grease” stuff I tried before. It also did not leave my hair looking heavy or shiny, as long as I did not overdo it. One time I used too much and my hair looked a little oily at the roots, that one was on me.I cannot swear it “grows” hair super fast (it definitely helps hair growth), but for moisturizing and that clean cooled scalp feeling, it has been solid. I am keeping it.

An effective blend of oils that promote hair growth
From the day I got this oil , my husband and I used it almost everyday! He has locs and I’m a coily haired natural for reference.The Jojoba oil and the hempseed oil really coat my strands and the thickness of it keeps my hair deeply moisturized through this cold weather.The smell of the oil isn’t too minty which I was nervous about because of the menthol. It smells sweet, a bit earthy and has a nice hint of mintI really just wish it was a bigger bottle lol.Overall, I can’t say it made my hair grow longer because it’s only been a few weeks but the extra shine, the extra moisture, the difference in how my ends feel… this oil definitely has provided me with all the tools I know my hair needs to retain length.
