Im a pretty typical guy, I dont spend much time thinking about shampoo. The one I usually buy is in a blue bottle, I think, I dont know the brand, and its a 9 in 1 Shampoo, Conditioner, Body Wash, Soap, Lotion, Shaving Cream, Toothpaste, Motor Oil and Gun Lubricant. In light of this, I realized I may not be the most qualified person to review this product, so I handed it off to someone who is.Conveniently, the Mrs. just so happens to be a smoking-hot, natural blonde, who is engaged in a never ending battle against ”brassy tones,” whatever that is.Its July and thankfully she humored me here, because, she ”…doesnt use the purple shampoo very often. Especially in the summer. Only like twice a month in the fall/winter months.” I’m learning so much here.This infrequent use is because, i’m told, ”too frequent use of this type of shampoo can literally turn your hair purple.” The official report from the Mrs. is as follows: ”The Shampoo is nice. I can tell it’s natural because it didn’t get very sudsy. It has a good, clean floral smell and is not perfumey. My hair feels good and smooth after the wash. It made my blond pop.”There is it is ladies, ”Pop!” That sounds pretty great to me.

Nice quality
I got this for my daughter who has natural medium blond hair, but gets highlights that are much lighter than her normal blond color. She normally uses a purple shampoo anyway, and she likes this product. She likes the smell and the texture of the product. It has similar effects to the other shampoos she uses and the price is a little less than she usually pays for her regular product. Overall, she is happy with the effect it has on her color and the feel of her hair afterwards.

This shampoo is good for my silver hair. It has a bit of a strong medicinal scent, but applies and lathers nicely. It seems to help my grey look more silver and less brassy and flat. It keeps my scalp clean and feels good.

This review is for: Luxy Balancing Purple Shampoo 9.5 FL OZPrice at time of this review: $20.00This purple shampoo is interesting. It is not purple in color like most others. It has a normal texture of shampoo, thick but creamy, but just looks weird. It does not have the best scent to it. I did not like the smell of my hair after using it. I did notice some difference in tones after using it but not as much as when I use other purple shampoos. The price is what got to me. The price is way to high for a purple shampoo that does not work the greatest. I did not notice much a difference with the shininess of my hair after using. I would not recommend if you already have a purple shampoo that you use and like.

Smells good and works
This is a review of the purple shampoo by Luxy. Overall, this is a good product and I enjoyed using it. I have blonde color, treated hair, as well as blonde extensions, so I am always looking for a product to help combat brassy tones in my hair.The shampoo has a similar consistency to most other shampoos. I did notice that it has a darker purple tone than many of the other purple shampoos I have tried. I followed the directions and applied it to wet hair, then waited 5 minutes before rinsing. It rinsed cleanly and did not leave any gray or weird tones. It also did not seem like it was a very drying formula, which is something that you can find with some of the purple shampoos.The blonde tone of my hair did seem a little brighter after using the shampoo. I usually wait about two weeks after a color treatment and then use it once or twice a week to keep the tone looking good.One of the best parts about the shampoo is the smell! It is a bit floral and kind of perfumey, but it’s not overly strong. The scent did not stick around long after rinsing the product out. I did not find that the purple color stained anything in the bathroom.I also like that this is made in the USA. I recommend trying it for something a little bit different in your blonde hair care routine.

Not a good shampoo
I do not love this shampoo at all. It’s not your average purple. It’s almost a black color I took a picture comparing my regular purple shampoo and this one. I did not find that it took out any of the brassiness. It also made my hair very dry. It has a very faint scent so that was the only good thing about it. I ended up throwing it in the garbage.
