Much better than my old Braun Silk IPL
My experience with laser hair reduction: I’ve never done it at a med spa, only on my own at home with the Braun Silk IPL that I got in 2018ish. (So obvs an older model) I’ve also gone a few years getting a wax each month.In general, I’ve been very happy with my experiences using an at home device for this. If you’ve never done it, here’s the process: you shave the area like normal, then run the device over it, flashing each time manually or you can set it to automatic flashes. Then do the same thing a week later. You’ll start noticing some patches where you’d normally have hair that’s grown back but it’s missing. Each week you use it, there will be less and less that grows back. Once you get to the point that works for you, you can cut back to only doing touch up treatments as needed.In general, this gives a smoother look than waxing because you are damaging the follicle under the skin so there’s no dark spot with the hair’s root. Even with regular waxing, there was still the hair’s root growth cycle causing some darkness under the skin. You also don’t have to let the hair grow out between treatments. You can shave as much as you want between treatments, or space them out as you like.To compare this device to the older Braun one I used before: This one is more comfortable to hold, looks prettier, and has a digital display.It’s great that you can manually select which level you want to use. On my Braun, it has a sensor that scans your skin color in that exact area and only lets you do the strength at their recommended level. So it took it a lot more treatments to actually remove hair in any area that wasn’t very pale. I eventually taped some paper to cover the sensors so it would let me do the higher level. But then I had to be careful that I wouldn’t do any flashes accidentally when it wasn’t pressed against my skin. This device solves that problem and keeps the safety mechanism in place while also giving the user full freedom in selecting a level.I do notice that the size of the area getting treated with each flash is a little smaller on this one than the Braun one. But not by much.The “ice” feature on this one is very cool. It felt nice to have it keeping everything from getting too hot, which let me work a little faster. It does come at the cost of having the whole head of the device being about twice as large as it otherwise would need to be. (I assume. I don’t know what the internal engineering looks!), but it can be hard to use it in places that are bonier like your knee or ankle, since the device senses that the whole surface isn’t entirely contacting your skin.One feature that’s fun is the countdown of the remaining flashes. They really come with so many that I can’t imagine ever even finishing up the first bulb, much less 3!As far as the functionality, I’ve only used it twice but I am definitely noticing similar or better results than my Braun. It also feels like it’s working a little better while I’m using it. I’m not sure how to describe it but you can feel each flash and then afterwards some warmth (more if there were a lot of dark hair follicles under the surface.)I typically don’t feel like it’s painful, but sometimes you can get a little zing, like a mild rubber band snap. I always use the highest level though, so I’m sure if you want a fully painless experience you could find a lower level that works for you.

Powerful but takes many treatments
This is my first time using something like this at home so I was not sure what to expect but overall this does seem to be reducing the hair growth in the areas I have targeted. This has a lot of nice features like the adjustable strength and the cooling which is great to have. This feels well made and nothing about it feels cheap. I wouldn’t say it hurts but there is absolutely a feeling to it when you use it. I don’t know how many treatments it would take to be completely hairless but IMO there is clearly a reduction in the hair so I feel like its working pretty well.

So far I have used it in 2 different areas and I can see I did the right choice by choosing this device, there are so many out there but few to be trusted, it comes with different faces to change accordingly to the area you’re treating. It’s light, and with lots of if information to help you not to get burned . Mostly with heat levels you can start with the minimum and gradually increase it. I like it and recommend it!

This thing stopped working after the second use. I am trying to contact help support and reached nothing. Do not buy this product it worker good the first two times but it just stopped for no reason and i have tried everything to make it work and it didnt

I’ve had this hair removal device for a while but didn’t open it until today. I finally tried it and honestly, it felt super comfortable—no pain or irritation at all. The ice-cooling feature is AMAZING!I’ve used other IPL devices before and my skin would always feel kind of hot or stingy afterwards, but this one didn’t give me any burning feeling at all. Maybe it’s because it’s my first time using it, but my skin felt totally fine after.Really excited to see the results over time!
