A Good Soothing Serum After Shaving
Overall, I do like this after shave serum just fine. It seems to have a pretty good soothing effect and does a nice job of calming down skin that might be a little irritated after shaving. I do not generally have a tremendous problem with razor burn, but there are always certain areas that can get a little irritated, and this serum did an excellent job of taking care of that.I am somebody who does not particularly enjoy shaving every day because I hate the fight that the stubble gives you after only a day or two of growth. Fortunately, I do not have a job that requires me to shave every day, so I generally shave once or twice a week. I actually prefer letting the hair grow out a little bit because it seems to come off much easier and softer when I shave it that way.After shaving, I apply this serum as the first step, and then I put my regular moisturizer over it. It works very well in conjunction with my moisturizer and does not seem to interfere with it at all. The serum itself is lightweight, absorbs fairly quickly, and does not leave behind a greasy or heavy residue.I also like the dropper application. It makes it very easy to control how much you are using, and a little goes a long way. I find that I do not need much at all to cover the areas that I have shaved, so despite the fact that this is a little more expensive than your average after shave lotion or balm, the bottle should last quite a while.The formula contains multiple peptides, including Copper Tripeptide 1, which are intended to support the appearance and feel of smoother, healthier looking skin. I cannot say that I have noticed any dramatic long term changes to my skin from the peptides, but I do like the immediate moisturizing and soothing effect that I get after shaving.Most importantly, it did not cause me any irritation of its own. Sometimes products designed to calm irritated skin can actually contain fragrances or other ingredients that make things worse, but I had no problems with this one. It left my skin feeling comfortable, moisturized, and refreshed.All in all, I think this is a good after shave serum. It is a little pricier than some of the more basic products in this category, but I think it offers better moisturizing properties and the application is very easy. If you are looking for something lightweight that can help soothe and moisturize your skin after shaving, I think this is a good option and I would recommend it.

Decent hydrating aftershave, not a fan of feeling sticky afterwards
I generally like products from this company (I’ve used their GHK-Cu cream in the past), so I was excited to try this out.Pros: has a mix of peptide components, not just the internet famous GHK-Cu. Oligopeptide-1 is a nice addition (epidermal growth factor). Skin felt hydrated afterwards, which is perfect in my area’s dry weather.Cons: this is where it gets a point deducted for me. I’m a guy, I tend to prefer aftershaves with some sort of scent: this has none. Possibly a pro for you, but not for me. Second is that it leaves the skin feeling somewhat sticky afterwards, which is definitely bot what I’m looking for in an aftershave.A general “con” for many peptide related items is that no percentages are ever given for how much of each active they contain. 0.1% GHK-Cu is different from 1% GHK-Cu. I would love to see these things on labeling going forward.

I’m reviewing PeptideLabz’s Multi-Peptide After Shave Serum with Copper Tripeptide-1 and Aloe. It’s a one-fluid-ounce bottle. This is my second product from PeptideLabz, and I’ve been quite pleased with the first one. So, let’s see how this serum fares after a few weeks of use.This shaving serum contains a multi-peptide complex, hyaluronic acid, and aloe. It’s made in the USA and is alcohol-free. I was particularly interested in trying it on a shin that has been causing me issues with post-shaving irritation. This shin is more prominent than the other leg and is prone to razor burn and irritation.I found the application of the serum to be easy. It comes with a dropper, which makes it convenient to apply. Overall, I’m satisfied with this serum. On the shin where I get razor burn and it’s easy to nick, I’ve been patting the serum on and have noticed a nice soothing and hydrating effect. After the serum has dried, I follow up with my favorite moisturizer.I let my son try this serum as well, since he also has issues after shaving his beard growth. He’s tried different razors, shaving creams, and other products, but this serum seemed to help him as well. It didn’t completely resolve his issues, but it did significantly reduce his irritation, just like it did for me.Both my son and I found the serum helpful. It’s not greasy and provides some relief from shaving irritation. Neither of us shave daily, but my son prefers to keep a short beard growth, so he shaves less frequently. I shave more often, probably three times a week. I should mention that we both have extremely sensitive skin.At the time of my review, in August 2026, the cost of this one-ounce bottle is $19.99. I’m not sure if I’ll purchase it for myself again at this price, but it might be a good option for my son. He shaves less frequently and has less area to cover, so the bottle would last him a lot longer. If you’re experiencing shaving irritation, it might be worth trying this serum.

Bought as a serum, not as aftershave
I did not order the PeptideLabz multi-peptide after-shave serum to use after a razor. I bought it as a face serum because of the ingredient list: copper tripeptide-1, aloe, and the rest of the conditioning and hydration lineup in a 1-ounce bottle.I have not used it long enough to see a lot of benefit. That is honest. Serums like this need more than a few applications before you can say what they did for texture or smoothness. I expect good things and will check back after I have used it longer.It goes on as a light, soothing leave-on product. As aftershave it would make sense for that same reason. I am using it in a serum step.If you are shopping the peptides and aloe rather than the “after shave” label, that is a fair way to buy it. Early days here. The formula is why I picked it. Results still to come.

So soothing after shaving with NO stinging!
I was very pleasantly surprised at how well this serum worked in making my post-shave feel hydrating and calming to my skin.Full disclosure, I am an older female who has to deal with the awful white “wickers” on my face. Some of them are black, but the white ones are like small wire bristles. I do at time try just plucking them, but there are so many! And they grow fast! I had read other ladies just turning to shaving their faces because of this. With the white hairs, you can not laser them. So shaving it is. When I read the ingredients of this serum and that it is gentle and contains zero alcohol, I wanted to give it a try. Usually I just shave in the shower with face soap, but I want to try this product out so shaved in front of a mirror with a little shaving gel, then gentle wiped it off so my face was dry. I applied a few drops of this onto my clean fingertips and dab on at first, then massaged in. Wow! It really did make my skin soft and hydrate it with NO irritation at all! In face, I dab a bit on an acne/breakout spot (gotta hate adult acne), and it even soothed that area that was a bit red from the zit. I love this serum! I feel it is perfect both for men and women, and highly recommend this!I have another product made by this company, PEPTIDE LABZ makes, and I love that as well. This is a bit pricey at 1 oz. for $19.99 currently, however I think it will last a long time and I will reorder it.Some points to make besides all the great ingredients for your skin (aloe vera, hyaluronic acid, copper tripeptide-1 are some) it is made in the USA. Also from a small business brand that I am more than happy to support.100% recommend!

Not As Hydrating As Expected
I wanted this specifically for use on my scalp after shaving with a rotary electric razor. I shave outside the shower on a clean and dry face and scalp. My face has years of experience, but shaving my scalp is new in the last 6 months and the very crown of my head will get dry and flaky from daily shaving.Previously, I was using a shea butter based cream to moisturize my scalp after shaving. This worked, but left my scalp a little on the greasy feeling. I was hopeful this hydrating serum would be lighter and absorb more fully without leaving my scalp shiny or with a greasy feeling.The expiration date on my bottle of Peptide Labz Shave Save was 5/28/2029 and was produced on 5/29/2026. The one ounce bottle should last a long time as a single large drop from the included dropper was enough to treat the crown of my head that tends to be the driest and take the most abuse from shaving.Gently rubbed into the scalp, the serum absorbed and dried quickly leaving very little shine behind. The post shave flakiness of my scalp was greatly reduced, but the serum didn’t perform to the same level as the cream I have been using. After a week of daily use, performance was still falling short of the previous shea butter based cream.If I had started using this serum before the cream, perhaps this would be a 5 star item. There is nothing wrong with the serum other than I know of 1 product that performs better for my specific use case. On the other hand, using this serum leaves no post application residue feeling on my scalp. In this area the serum performs better than the cream.Overall, I’m satisfied with the product and will continue to use it. Still on the fence if I will reorder or return to the previously used cream.

A little sticky at first but it helps with shave recovery
This is my first time using a shave serum. I decided to give it a try when I started shaving my face full time with an electric foil shaver. I wanted to try this serum because I needed something that could be used right before my daily face lotion. My wife buys me a rather expensive daily lotion with sunblock that I use all over my face every morning to protect and hydrate my skin in this severe Texas weather. I did some research to make sure the ingredients in this serum would play nicely with my lotion. If you have a favorite face cream or lotion you plan to use with this, I highly recommend doing a quick ingredient check first.The serum comes in a small glass vial with an eye dropper. I apply quite a bit to my shaved areas, usually using about half of the dropper per shave. Immediately after applying it, I do feel a slight burn. It’s not overwhelming, but definitely noticeable. For the first 10 minutes or so, my face feels a little sticky, somewhat like having hair gel or aloe vera on my skin until it fully dries. It also has a slight, neutral scent for about the first hour that reminds me a bit of a hair care product. It’s not terrible, but I definitely prefer when it wears off since I don’t like smelling like anything unless it’s a specific cologne.Overall, this serum does a great job of keeping redness away. I don’t personally feel like it hydrates my face as much as it claims to, but I tend to be pretty dehydrated to begin with, so it might hydrate perfectly fine for others. What absolutely is true, though, is how well it promotes skin recovery. Usually, my sensitive mustache area feels unpleasant for hours after a shave, but after using this serum, my skin feels completely recovered and comfortable. That post-shave relief is easily my favorite thing about it. I’ve also posted a picture of my mustache area so you can see the effects of the product on my sensitive mustache area.
