    Suction Was Disappointing

    The biggest issue with this nail dust collector is the suction. For a product whose primary purpose is collecting nail dust, I found the extraction power underwhelming, and it’s ultimately the reason I wouldn’t recommend it. It does capture some dust, but not nearly as effectively as I had hoped, and I suspect there are better options available with stronger suction.That said, there are a few positives. The unit itself is generously sized, providing plenty of working space for home manicures. As someone who is quite conscious about inhaling nail dust when filing gel or acrylic nails, I appreciate the concept and was keen to add some form of dust extraction to my setup.However, it’s also fairly noisy. For occasional home use this isn’t a major issue, but I wouldn’t choose it for a professional salon environment where it would be running throughout the day.Overall, while the size is good and it may help capture some of the dust generated during light filing, the suction performance simply wasn’t strong enough to meet my expectations. For that reason, I would continue looking for a more powerful alternative.

    Sucks up the dust so that my kid doesn’t breathe it so totally worth it

    I was always concerned about my daughter doing her gel nails because she often uses a device to grind them off and I was concerned about how that dust was getting into her lungs I am a nurse and I actually work in the field of avoiding lung cancer and so I think that this is a wonderful device to avoid getting dust in your lungs. For this reason I know that this would be a great product for professionals who do nails and for hobbyists that like to do nails like my daughter. For this reason I think it’s a wonderful value as well because you only have one set of lungs. I would purchase it again at the current price and I will suggest it to my patients

    Excellent

    I’m very happy with this nail dust collector. It has great suction power and helps keep my workspace much cleaner, especially when I’m filing or working with acrylic and gel.I really like that it has different suction levels, so I can adjust it depending on the service I’m doing. It’s also pretty quiet compared to others I’ve used, and the design is nice, compact, and easy to clean.It also comes with disposable filters, which I find very convenient. For the price, I think it offers excellent value for the money. Definitely a great purchase for my nail workspace. 💅✨

    Sparks when plugged in

    I received two devices and each device spark when you plug the adapter into the base. The first device ended up smoking from the port you plug in. It is also very difficult to plug into the base from the adapter.

    Dust collector is a little noisy and there is conflicting info regarding the rpm rate.

    I ordered this item for my wife who likes to do her nails on occasion. This arrived in its own official product packaging box. Inside the box: 1 x nail dust collector, 1 x electrical adaptor, 30 x filters and an instruction booklet.The dust collector unit feels very sturdy and well made. There is a magnetic silver metal grate on the top to cover the fan that is removable for cleaning. Underneath there are 4 rubber feet along with air vents The control/power is a dial that is located at the front of the unit. On the right side of this unit is where you plug in the electrical cord. There is also a USB outlet which my wife assumes can also be used to power this unit up. Unfortunately she does not have a USB lead available to test this out. It is worth noting that there is no mention of the USB outlet in the instruction booklet or the listing. The filters feel like a type of thin cotton. My wife checked online and you can purchase these from $5 to around $10 for 200 sheets which is reasonable.To switch on just turn the dial, there are 10 suction strengths that can be used, the number lights up on the dial itself as you turn it. My wife noticed that there is no click sound it just feels smooth when turning the dial to power it on. She did find that this is quite noisy and not as quiet as advertised in her opinion. The instruction booklet states that the speed of this turbine motor is 6000 rpm and underneath the machine it states that the rotation is 4500 rpm there is no mention of the rpm in the listing that she could find. So what is the true rpm?Overall my wife is very pleased with this dust collector as she finds it very effective even if it is a little louder than she expected. She also did mention that this machine can be used for crafts or small tasks that create dust, so its not just for manicure/nails. The price is around what you would expect to pay when comparing this model to others in the marketplace. Due to the issue with the noise and the conflicting information with regards to the rpm (revolutions per minute) my wife feels that it is only fair to give this a 3 star rating.

    I have ordered the PROFESSIONAL NAIL DUST COLLECTOR WITH 30 DISPOSABLE FILTER PAPERS by SMOFREES, because my daughter loves to do her nails and her friends’ nails, so I thought this would be great to add to her nail kit.This small, portable nail dust collector has ten speed settings which claim to ‘catch 99% of the nail dust generated during manicures using a 4500rpm brushless motor.’ Looking at the description, it sounds snazzy. It sounds like this little machine means business. This fan is supposed to suck the nail dust, but alas, it failed to do so. There are 10 speeds on the dial, but it is more like decoration. 2 stars.FAST FACTS:EASE OF CLEANING: There is a filter that you will need to change; filters are included.LIGHTWEIGHT: It is very lightweight.VALUE FOR MONEY: My daughter loves it, but I don’t see that it works. It is not a good value, in my eyes. 2 stars.STAR SCALE★ – This product is in dire need of improvements before it is worth purchasing. I would not consider purchasing again. I would also dissuade others to pass on this product as well.★★ – This product does not meet expectations, needs improvement, and/or is not worth purchasing at the price-point.     Basic, compact nail dust fan & filters

    This is a simple, basic, easy to use fan. The thing I like most about it is how compact it is. I have 2 others but they’re bulky and take up too much space. Definitely giving one away because this one is easier to store and move wherever I need to use it.It has a USB port on the side which helps if you need to charge/plug in your nail drill or curing light. It make charge phones or other items but I only used it to charge a small nail light & a nail drill.It includes 30 paper filters to hold put on it while using. Makes for easy cleaning – much easier than the bulkier filters my other dust fans use. And the paper filters are less expensive. The top piece is metal & magnetic so it makes changing the filter super easy and the magnet is strong so it stays in place until you’re ready to remove it and toss the paper filter.Also includes the plug/cord. Unfortunately it’s not a type c like lots of things these days so you will have to use the specific cord that comes with it.The knob is the reason I removed 1 star. It’s great that it’s digital and shows what level you’re on but it’s kind of faulty. Sometimes I spin it and nothing happens but if I try again it’s fine. Idk if it’s just an issue with the one I received or if they’re all like that. Not a big deal because it does work, just takes a little extra spin sometimes.It’s not overly loud (maybe kind of loud on the highest setting but not any louder than similar nail dust fans). It also doesn’t blow so much air out of the sides/bottom that I feel a fan is blowing on me. One nail dust fan I have puts out so much air that I get cold from the constant breeze (it’s bigger & a little fancier than this one so maybe that’s why idk)
