Pretty mid results on my fine, dry hair
I really thought the Lunar Cloud mask was going to give me the hair transformation of a lifetime based on other reviews, but as the unfortunate owner of thin, fine, dry hair, my results were…not quite that dramatic.First off, this tub is ginormous (16 oz). The large size is great, however, I really wish masks like this came in a squeeze tube for less awkward shower use. The scent profile isn’t my favorite, although it’s fresher and lighter than I expected based on the listing description.I applied this on freshly washed, damp hair. The texture is really lovely – it melted right in with fantastic slip, and my hair felt instantly soft and detangled. I had very high hopes at this point that my hair transformation was in progress 😂Once I dried and styled my hair though, I unfortunately didn’t notice much difference compared to my usual hydrating conditioners. My hair did feel soft and looked shiny, but my dry ends didn’t seem more moisturized or manageable than usual. I still have my typical annoying flyaways all over my part line (maybe just a me‑problem?). I’ve tried this mask with a couple different shampoos and it didn’t seem to make a difference in the results.The INCI on this mask is a pretty standard conditioning base (behentrimonium chloride, cetearyl alcohol, shea butter, dimethicone) that’s common to many drugstore hair masks. The formula is fine, but not a standout (especially compared to more modern conditioners that use ceramides, niacinamide, or hyaluronic acid).Overall, this mask is just meh for me. While it does leave my hair soft and moisturized, it didn’t deliver noticeably better results than my everyday hydrating conditioner, and the current price (about $40 on Amazon rn) is over twice the cost of drugstore brands with a comparable ingredient profile.

Rich hair mask that leaves my hair soft
I’ve been using this as a weekly treatment, mainly focusing it on my mid-lengths and ends. The mask has a rich, creamy texture that coats my hair nicely, and after rinsing my hair feels noticeably softer and easier to manage.I especially like it when my ends are feeling dry or frizzy. The argan oil, coconut oil, and mango butter give it plenty of conditioning without leaving my hair feeling overly heavy afterward. Overall, a nice deep-conditioning treatment for giving dry hair some extra moisture and shine.

Worth the price because a little goes a long way
My hair drinks this stuff up. I have color-treated hair that gets frizzy and dry, and after using this mask my hair feels noticeably softer and smoother, and the frizz is way more manageable for days after. I leave it on for about ten minutes in the shower and comb it through, and it rinses out clean without leaving my roots greasy. Yes, $39 for a hair mask made me hesitate at first, but here’s the thing, you only need a small amount per use. It’s a big 16 oz jar and I’ve barely made a dent in it after weeks of weekly use, so this will easily last months. It smells lovely too and has a nice consistency. If it did nothing I’d call it overpriced, but it works so well that the jar earns its keep.

Navy Lunar Deep Conditioner “Hair Mask”
The packaging on this is really nice, I’m a sucker for this shaped hair product. It smells really good, and definitely leaves my hair feeling nice and conditioned. The appearance of it is similar to coconut oil which concerned me, but it was easy enough to rinse out. It’s a good value overall for what you pay, and will last quite a while. However I dont know that I would call it so much of a deep conditioning mask. It works about as well as any other conditioner I’ve used and isn’t anything special. The directions tell you to either leave it on for a “quick fix” of 3-5 minutes on wet hair, or a “deep hydration” for 5 minutes when applied to dry hair. I tried both those ways, as well as just using it regularly after shampooing and rinsing immediately, and I didn’t notice any difference in my hair’s appearance or texture. The duration you leave it on really doesn’t seem to matter overall.

Pretty pack and fine product
I was instantly attracted to this pretty navy jar with contrasting yellow print and the wonderful promises of a luxurious hair mask. I have very fine hair that tends to have fly-aways but is in healthy condition as I don’t use many heat treatments or styling products. I used this in the shower on clean damp hair. The product does suggest you could use it on dry hair and then rinse out but honestly this felt like weird instructions because I would never just rinse out my hair unless I was also taking a shower.So essentially used this in place of my regular conditioner. The smell is lovely–a nice but not heavy coconut and it applied easily to my hair. I leave it in for several minutes while washing my face and shaving. It felt heavy going on but did rinse out easily.Post-shower my hair feels about the same as any other typical conditioners I have used so while it definitely worked as a nice conditioner it was not a game changer for me either. My hair texture still felt the same and I did not notice additional shine or fewer fly-aways.The jar is pretty but a little cumbersome to use in the shower because water can get into the product and it’s a bit awkward to screw/unscrew once you have the product in hand.Overall this is definitely a fine product, but I got just as good results from my dove mask that I can get at my local big box store.

Absolutely obsessed!!
I have always been a HUGE Navy Hair Care fan! They have the best hair products I’ve ever tried. This Lunar cloud hydrating hair mask is absolutely amazing and did not disappoint. The smell is beyond incredible and the texture is nice and thick. Goes onto your hair with ease and feels so good when lathering. Definitely does what it says it’s supposed to, super moisturizing and gives your hair a beautiful look. This mask is for sure affective at giving your hair that hydration boot it needs. You can use this product two ways. Use for a quick fix, leaving on for a couple minutes and then rinse. Or go full deep hydration and leave on for five minutes or more, then rinse. Great value for the size! My hair is looking so luxurious and soft after using this Lunar cloud mask. I can’t recommend this stuff enough. Highly worth it and does the job.

Not moisturizing
I didn’t expect kerastase hair mask quality at this price point, but for weekly use I hoped it would be better than the fructis hair treat. It isn’t. The jar is generously sized and the waxy feeling hair mask smells a little like a popsicle. It isn’t overwhelmingly fragranced.I used it as directed both on my daughter’s dry 4c hair and my own 2a hair. It was not rich or moisturizing, nor was it easy to rinse out. It was not effective for either of us, not even as a detangler or daily conditioner.It didn’t make anything worse but it isn’t adequate quality for me to use on my hair or my daughter’s. I don’t love the waxy texture because it doesn’t allow it to smoothly coat the hair.
