    Neuro by Paul Mitchell Style+

    This styling iron by Paul Mitchell works amazingly for achieving straight, smooth hair. It is simple to use once you get a hang of the 3 buttons on this styler. Press the on button and select your temperature by using the button with the arrows. There are 6 total heat settings. Temperature is indicated by a lighted white dot system with single dot being the coolest and 5 dots being the hottest. The temperature is not shown on the unit, so you have to remember the settings which range from 270, 300, 340, 370, 410 degrees F. There is a separate button for the 6th and hottest setting, 450 degrees F, which is a quick press for professional styling (lights up as a green dot). The iron has a memory function that remembers the last setting you used, which is great! There is a lock button to clamp the styler shut for storage. The swivel cord is a generous length and has a velcro cord keeper to keep it tidy when not in use. The exterior of the styler does get hot by the plates, and for some reason the long barrel design of this causes my hand to continually creep forward towards the plates so I have to keep moving my hand back down to the safe zone. I do not consider this travel sized as the styler is about 10 3/4″ long with the plates being just shy of 4″. This styler is not quiet and does emit an electrical type of sound, which the manual states is normal and is the ionic pins releasing ions onto your hair. This styling flat iron is amazing and works perfectly for straightening my long thick hair with ease.

    Works great

    I have used a specific brand of flat irons for years but I decided it’s time to try something new. This Paul Mitchell straightener does not disappoint. It heats up fast and glides through my hair. It is an amazing flat iron. No frizz is 100% accurate and my hair looks very healthy and shiny. Comes with many heat level settings and is dual voltage making this a great travel iron. A side note about this iron is that it comes with a nice size cord. It’s longer than my other iron which is fantastic because outlets can be further away from mirrors etc depending on where I am. It also is great for hair dressers working on client’s hair. Great product, can’t recommend it highly enough.

    Works well with lots of features

    The Neuro by Paul Mitchell Style+ 1″ Ceramic Straightening & Styling Iron seems to heat up faster than my current iron. However there’s only 6 heat settings that goes up to 450 degrees, but you don’t know what temperature each level actually is as there’s no temperature display. My current straightener has the ability to go up to 450 degrees in 10 degree increments and the exact temperature is displayed on the unit. I do like the memory function, which remembers the last setting you used. My current iron does not have this function. It does have a 1 hour auto shutoff that I didn’t test since I always unplug all my hair tools after each use. This iron does work quite well in straightening my wavy hair. My hair felt very smooth and shiny.

    While I love the size. Where the buttons are are very inconvenient and take some getting used too. It’s easy to turn it off or lower the temp because of where your fingers rest

    It is a great product and it straightened my hair very well. The heat level was great however the settings on the heat levels were a bit confusing for me.

    well made, heats fast

    This flat iron is extremely well made. It feels heavy and high quality and the cord is thick and sturdy. The outside of the iron is a soft material that is easy to hold onto and it doesn’t slip around in your hand while in use. The plates in this are smooth and don’t extend all the way out, so you can get really close to your head without getting burned. The plates also don’t catch any hairs and pull them out, which is an issue I’ve had with a previous flat iron. This gets hot extremely fast which I like. Even on the lowest heat setting this makes my hair really smooth and sleek. It doesn’t cause any frizz or static in my hair either. This is an expensive tool, but is very well made for the price. I have nothing but good things to say about this and would order again.
